There’s been a murder! Who did it?! Who are the suspects? Will the murderer be caught?! Murder for Two was one of our 7 play package for the DCPA(Denver Center for the Performing Arts). We grabbed out tickets and walked downtown for the 2pm Saurday matinée. Two men play all the roles. Rather, one of them is the detective, the other plays all of the other roles/characters. They both play the piano too, so stay around after the play is done, hint! There are a few props, but those props are used very well. Joe Kinosian plays all the characters very well, and it’s amazing how he keeps them separated in his head! He never misses a beat either! The show is only 90 minutes long, with no intermission, so use the restroom before you go in. The characters and the actors keep you laughing throughout, it’s very well played and staged. The Garner Galleria Theater is quaint, and the perfect setting for Murder for Two. Go see it while it’s in town, it’s worth your time.

Murder for Two is a witty, fast-paced whodunit that had me laughing out loud for the vast majority of the show. Although there are more than a dozen characters, there are only two actors, Joe Kinosian and Ian Lowe. These guys are simply brilliant, with great onstage chemistry and impeccable comic timing! Ian Lowe plays the police officer trying to solve the crime. Joe Kinosian plays all the suspects, using little more than a hat, eyeglasses, and accents to distinguish them. Throughout the show, both actors play the piano — taking turns, sharing the bench, and picking up right where the other left off seamlessly. The songs are sometimes silly, occasionally nonsensical, but always entertaining. Once or twice, I lost track of which suspect was in the spotlight(usually because the laughter drowned out the lines) but I easily caught back up. I found the entire show utterly delightful and entertaining, and I expect I will see it at least once more during its run. The Murder for Two website recommends the show for«ages 8 to 98,» but there was an F-bomb, so parental discretion is advised. Other than that, it really is appropriate for most ages, and I think my kids would enjoy it as much as I did, although they might have a harder time keeping up. The Garner Galleria Theatre is a small, intimate venue with a lounge and wait service. The seats are set up similar to most comedy clubs, in rows with groups of four chairs sharing a small table, making it is easy to connect with the actors onstage.

LOVEDIT! The show was absolutely hysterical and even with only two cast members, there was so much energy that you couldn’t help but get wrapped up in it. Joe Kinosian was a pure delight and switched back between the different characters so flawlessly. He and Ian Lowe, as the wannabe detective, had amazing chemistry and really looked like they were having a blast together. Highly recommended!

What geniuses! Joe Kinosian is incredible playing multiple personalities(The Suspects) and Ian Lowe has a great singing voice! Together, they owned the piano! So don’t you dare leaving early or you’ll miss out their piano duet at the end! The show is really fast paced — even the actors can be seen grasping for air sometimes. The lines are extensive but definitely hilarious. Body languages are poignant and funny. The music is great too. Thank you Unilocal for the opportunity to see it for free. I’d recommend the show to all my friends and would even see it again next time it’s in town!

We had an enjoyable time at the Galleria seeing this hilarious musical. The two man show proved to be an entertaining and lighthearted musical about a mysterious murder. Joe Kinosian as the«suspects» was masterful. Ian Lowe as Marcus was a great set up guy. I loved the piano back and forth. They looked like they were having a great time, which spills over to the audience. It is a 90 minute performance with no intermission. I would recommend for all ages over 10 and up. I love the Galleria. It is a great night out.

An absolute hoot. Multiple characters, 2 performers, 1 piano, and loads of laughs. An entertaining farce featuring two very talented men, one of whom plays all the suspects to the murder committed at the opening of the play. The story(a farce) plays out with song,(both actors play the piano) witty dialogue, full of entendre, word play and a little profanity… a hilarious birthday party murder, all cleverly wrapped up in an hour and a half. The theatre was a little warm, but that was my only complaint. Thanks to Unilocal and the Garner Galleria Theatre for an entertaining evening.
