My fiancé and I attended a ring design workshop. The workshop itself, and the master jeweler we worked with(Nelson Giesecke) was fantastic! I cannot recommend this enough! We started with a single piece of white gold(pictured) form which we created both rings. Nelson first gave us some silver to practice with so that we could get a feel for working with metal(we have NO experience with this). We got to try out the different patterns which the small hammers create as we wanted a hammered look. We then moved on to metal for our rings. The entire process was a lot of fun and took about 5 hours. We also never felt stressed or concerned. When Nelson showed us his other projects it was very clear this humble and funny man is a master at his craft. We could focus on the experience without any concern that we would mess things up. We now have the rings we wanted and which we made! A fantastic and memorable experience which we will cherish forever! As an added bonus the entire workshop was cheaper than going through a jeweler! Why buy expensive rings when you can make your own? :)
