Dr. Onat: B– Nurse: A++++ Front Desk: F Billing: A Office Environment: C Reason I am leaving the office: Pace of the office is very, very slow and their front desk woman, Silvia I believe, is absolutely horrendous. Dr. Onat definitely goes to all lengths to figure out what is going on. I went to her after reaching the end of my rope with other doctors. I had been dealing with chest pains for 3 years(I was 25 years old when they started) and other than doctors doing EKGs and stress tests, no one would do anything else. Dr. Onat pursued the problem until the cause was found. I really appreciated this and is what I expect from a doctor. The only thing I am not particularly thrilled with with Dr. Onat is her tendency to get distracted. She has left the room during my exam to take phone calls, etc. which is very frustrating. Their nurse is absolutely fantastic. She is my favorite staff member, even more than Dr. Onat. She is straight forward and does a great job. I truly appreciate the work she does. The front desk woman is terrible(I think her name is Silvia). She is condescending, completely uninformed, and absolutely ridiculous. I was trying to clarify insurance coverage for an upcoming procedure and she didn’t know the answer. She actually said, «Well just do the procedure and we can worry about that later.» It ended up that because she could not give me the information and she didn’t find the information that my blood tests were sent to the wrong lab that my insurance did not cover. Several times while speaking with her on the phone I have stopped her and asked to speak with the nurse instead. The billing woman, Sue, is wonderful as well. She works off site, but has always been prompt and follows up. I really like working with her. Overall, I have realized that the overwhelming majority of Dr. Onat’s patients are geriatric. Because of this the pace of the office is very, very, very slow. For one visit I had to wait over 2 hours for my SCHEDULED appointment because of an elderly patient that had some issue. The front desk woman should have called me, as the other patient had been there for hours and she was aware of the back up, and told me there would be a 2 hour delay. Anyway, as a 29 year old, I feel I need an office that is more quickly paced and focused. If you are 70+ years old and you don’t mind a terrible front desk person, this is the place for you!

Dr Maurine Onat is a VERY thorough doctor! She loves all of her patients and is very aggressive about tackling any health issue — just wanted to post a positive review because she’s been a terrific doctor!
