Sales lady didn’t acknowledge my presence as I am standing there trying to buy something. Then she refuses to honor a sale price for an item right next to the sign. She was not gracious about it either. Maybe I was wrong about whether the item was eligible for the sale. But I was definitely wrong to try and give this place my business.

A great find as I meander down Pearl Street for some much needed shopping. Quaint little store and I almost walked past it, good thing for the sale table outside with little knic knacs. The store has a little bit of everything from hand made beads, unique earrings, necklaces, kid stuff, pet stuff, and much more. You could spend a great deal of time walking around this place. It feels liked those movies you watch 20 times and notice something new every time you watch it again, I feel the same way about this place… walk around multiple times and you will see something you didn’t see before. They definitely support local artists here which is great and I really appreciate… no department store stuff here. Do the world a favor and shop LOCAL, support these fantastic places.

A collection of local artist jewelry and other handmade goods with a mix of gifting appropriate things mashed in(like ugly dolls). I would love to purchase some jewelry from here. You can find practically anything you can concoct in your mind on the shelves. Peruse at your own wallets risk! If you like being a locotarian you’ll like shopping local too.

This is a special little store located on one of my favorite blocks in Denver. There is a great little selection of cute eclectic goodies ranging from awesome jewelery to fun stuff for the babes & kiddos to dogs and cats. There are fun purses and cute knick-knacks to enjoy. This store supports local artists and vendors, so we need to support this store, it’s a full circle ripple effect! Shop Local!

After a delicious meal at the nearby Gaia Café, we walked down the street to this cute little shop. There were a number of fun little baubles and gift items that I was tempted to purchase, but I was a little put off by the vibe. As the only customer in the shop, and the salesperson(owner?) standing right behind the counter, I would appreciate being welcomed into the store. A simple ‘Hi, how are you?” would have been nice. If you can’t acknowledge my business… then I probably won’t buy anything from you.

Polkadot has a special place in my heart. If I love you, I will probably buy you a treat from this store. Although ownership has recently changed, the spirit of the place is relatively unchanged. This is the perfect place to find a gift for someone(yes, mostly women, but I have found some gifts for guys here too!) This funky little store supports several local artists, jewelry makers, designers, etc. The owner is adorable, and does her best to make sure her clientele and artists are both satisfied. This is the perfect place to order a gift basket for a client or friend, as the owner designs and crafts them herself. So, while you’re on South Pearl, make sure to pop into Polkadot. You’ll be glad that you did.

This is a good way to spoil yourself! It’s a funky, girly spot full of designer handbags and hand crafted jewelry. These bags look like they were made by creative types who really love fresh and colorful materials. The hand bags are anything but ordinary. The owner, Dezi, designs some of the bags herself. In fact that’s why she opened the shop. Dezi obviously has great taste, everything in here is hand chosen and very special. By the way, you’ll also get to meet the cutest little«shop dog» who is a bundle of pure joy! Give her cuddles from me. Polkadot is a great place to buy a gift for your spirited BFF, or any other free thinkin’ girl you know. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, sadly. Come on a Sunday, during Pearl streets farmers market. They do have the cutest shops on this street, you may have the check them all out!
