My wife and I just ate here and partway through her chicken enchiladas she found herself chewing a mop string tied in a knot. We were both disgusted and did not want to finish our meals. I had only eaten about a third of my burrito meal(which was very bland but passable until I was grossed out). The waitress grabbed the string right away and wanted us to still pay for my meal. She went to talk to the manager and a man from the next table decided to speak up to my wife in a disrespectful manner and tell us we should pay for my meal and when I called him on his manner of speaking to my wife he wanted to fight me, which would have been fun but instead they ran us out of the restaurant while the other patrons shouted racist slurs(we were the only Caucasians on the premises.) I would not recommend anyone go here, especially if you are not of Latino heritage. Very hostile in a world where racism shouldn’t even be an issue anymore. If I could give negative stars I would. Shame on them for keeping racism and shoddy customer service alive and well in an otherwise really fun neighborhood!

I’ve always hated chorizo. Que chulada has converted me. Great breakfast burritos and their Posole is the best around

The Supreme Burrito seemed to include whatever was leftover, including pork rinds, in it and was huge and delicious for about $ 6. It is an authentic, warm and roudy place filled with non gringos. I’ll always stop when I’m on S. Sheridan.

Breakfast burrito=awesome I needed some fuel for a long day of skiing, and Que Chulada was happy to oblige with a delicious chorizo breakfast burrito. It was a pretty substantial burrito for not much money, and I loved that it was toasted on the griddle all the way around, so the outside was a little crunchy. If I had a place like this near my house I would need to buy some bigger pants.

Food:3 Service: 3 – 4 Convenience: 3 Value: 3 Bottom Line: Good mexican at a reasonable price. Breakfast burritos are a good value. Definitely eat here again. Food: Food was similar to what i’m used to in So California. It took some time so i knew it was fresh. Service: quick service. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My son made a mess and the cashier was very, very nice about it. Convenience: Near the major shopping centers and freeway in the area. Parking lot was a little small. But most people take their food to go. Value: Burrito i had was priced right. The breakfast burritos were priced even better.

Let me tell you a little story about my experience with Que Chulada, I remember it like it was yesterday. It was October 2008 and I had just woken up in a strange bed(not really, it was Jared’s), hungry for a breakfast burrito. Jared wakes up and asks, «Are you hungry? Feel like getting some breakfast burritos?» How did he know? Well, I was skeptical about how«fantastic» these burritos really were since, I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a BB snob. We ordered the burritos to go and we were driving back, my stomach was making all sorts of crazy noises. When we got home, this tiny little burrito was so amazing, I could have eaten 2 more. At first I thought it was because I was so hungry but as I continued to come back here, I was amazed at how much I really liked this place. Their shredded beef burrito, breakfast burrito, chorizo burrito, it’s all so amazing and when they tell you their green chili is spicy, it’s SPICY. And if you have some time, eat there so you can try out their chips and salsa. I would drink a gallon of their salsa every time I went in if they would only let me. After my second time there, I knew it was love. Jared and Que Chulada. :-)

This was one of my favorite spots when I lived in Barnum. Most of my meals here have been great, but one night I went and had a bad burritto experience. My friend did, too. Maybe it was just a bad night. However, despite the one bad dinner experience, I still frequented Que Chulada a lot for the breakfast burrittos to-go. Check it out next time you are on the west side.
