Whenever I have a chance to visit Denver I come here to relax a bit. The drinks are good and the atmosphere to me is nice and laid back.

Needs some serious tlc. the décor is really outdated in a non-charming way. I don’t understand the juvenile wallpaper at all? The place is really dark in a black and burgundy way. The bathrooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the food is decent. My grandpas jazz band plays here on Tuesday night’s, which is wonderful. They’re always a pleasure to see, so if you’re into big band sound and something to do on a Tuesday night, this isn’t a bad place to go

The music is great. Lots of oldies and goodies. The décor is definitely old school as is the building. Tons of potential. An overall great place to sit, listen to good music and have a drink.

Based solely upon the name, I believe one could accurately envision this small dive: a dozen booths surround one small and hiply-awkward center audience space before an elevated stage; the décor is entirely black; the audio is almost always too loud. You will most definitely Climax here. Best of all, the bar is contained behind a Chain-Link fence. There is a giant disco ball in the middle of the venue. There is an original Pacman arcade game in the back. I have seen a diverse range of artists here from Ted Leo and the Pharmacists to Supply boy to all-time-fav-show-at-the-Climax-Lounge, Tracy and the Plastics. Visit for the black, the name, and the chain-link fence. If you come frequently enough, I’m sure you will catch a good show.
