I’ve stopped into this wine shop a few times. The guy working there has always been the same– very helpful and knowledgeable, never tries to «upsell.» I picked up the last bottle of the CruVinDogs labrador retriever sauvignon blanc they had– I think this may be my new fave wine. Had the pleasure of doing some tastings as well. They offer special tasting almost every Saturday which is great to help you learn more and try some wines out before purchasing. They have a great little side room that’s perfect for such get-togethers that they also rent out. Prices are fair, selection is somewhat small, but all quality.

I strolled into this quaint little wine shop one fine day after work, and I am happy that I did! The gentleman working was very polite, and very knowledgeable about the wine selections. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, so he immediately asked me if I liked red or white. Obviously my choice was red. So he pointed me to a scrumptious looking Malbec as well as a very popular Cab. I chose the Cab because he said it was the best Cab they had, and sure enough it was very delicious and smooth! The entire bottle was finished off that evening(with a little help from my man, of course!). Even though the store isn’t huge, it had a very nice selection of premium wines. If you’re looking to spend $ 4 on a bottle of wine, I don’t recommend coming here. However, if you want to spend $ 15 on something that is high quality and very worth the price, then this is your place! The staff is friendly and the store has a very nice, personable feeling to it!

The ladyfriend and I stopped in to the Reserve List on a complete whim. We were actually on a little cupcake quest(with the help of Unilocal of course.) Disappointed that most places were closed, we decided to abandon the sweet treat and instead plan wine and dinner. We drove by this shop, and decided to stop in. A lovely décor and wine racks abound, with a side each for whites and reds. As you enter, left is for reds, with light bodied wines towards the front of the store, and full bodied vinos towards the back. Likewise for whites on the right. Don’t forget to stop and check out the hard liquor shelf in the back. Try not to buy Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey($ 58 a bottle doesn’t make it THAT hard to resist, though it is ridiculously delicious) or a bottle of Leopold’s — they’re from New York and make amazing flavored whiskeys. The best part about Reserve List is that if you’re a rich bastard and you’ve got $ 100 to drop on a bottle of wine, they’ve got some(and a helpful staff to find out which $ 100 bottle of wine is going to be best for whatever meal your housekeeper makes for you!) but they’ve also got $ 8 bottles, and $ 10 bottles, and $ 13 bottles that will be great for the wine addicts on a budget. We bought a delicious tempranillo for $ 8 and it paired quite well with our cheese ravioli with a mushroom cream sauce.(okay, now I’m just bragging.) But it was a lovely shop with wine for all budgets, a helpful staff, and a great location with a cute interior. We’ll definitely be going back the next time we’re in the area. Maybe grab a port for our dessert after our next trip to Sushi Den…
