On the date of January 7, 2016, My Company received a True Freezer unit to accommodate a credit we had received from Restaurant Equipment Denver(RED) in exchange for equipment that we had given them. The company I represent is SECOR and my name is Cameron(Food Network Manager). When we ordered the new unit with our credit I was told that the unit would be delivered within 24 hours of my phone call to Oscar Perez. After the 24 hour mark had passed I called back and was told that RED company had fallen behind but that a «Brand New Unit» was going to be delivered that day before five pm, so I waited. No results again. After two weeks of back and forth with the RED company I decided to come pick up the unit myself. As me and my partner arrived to pick up this unit it was much to my surprise RED company sold the new unit from under us and had an old model that you said was for us. I was told since this unit was older that the company would give me a one year warranty on the unit and would tend to any repairs. We agreed with the assumption that this was a respectable, faithful, business. Two weeks into having this freezer it broke down. I contacted RED immediately and was told if I had another company come out and fix it that RED would pay the bill. I contacted another company to come fix the freezer and they came out to take a look at the problem. Before this other company(Denver Appliance) would come out they did contact RED and were told from RED that they would pay this bill.(I have this in writing from Oscar Perez) When the company came out to check on repairs we made some startling discoveries. This model had the wrong compressor in it, hadn’t been lubricated in years, and had its gas line spot welded together after snapping and containing a gas leak. This was all information RED hid from me until I had it professionally looked at. With that being said the company did what they could do to fix the unit but it was looking bleak. After the repairs were done about two hours after the secondary company made repairs, the machine broke down yet again. I called the company and they said they would not come back out because RED backed out of the payment. Needless to say I’m still with a broken unit that nobody wants to take responsibility for. The freezer is for a food bank that feeds hundreds of families a week. This is a huge issue. RUNRUNRUN
