Gross place, went there for the first time and they even charged me for simple bags to carry your stuff… Smells bad in some areas of the market

I got kind of tired of going to the overpriced Safeways in Denver and decided to try something different. Turns out you don’t have to pay $ 5 for a pack of Ibuprofen or $ 1 each for avocados, who knew? I purchased 31 items for a total of $ 42 yesterday! The selection is definitely not as broad as the typical grocery stores but for produce and staples the savings is well worth the trip. I am definitely going to check out more of these types of stores around Denver.

I used to come to this Mexican Grocery Superstore several years ago. While having tacos nearby recently, I popped in to pick up a couple items. The store has not changed much over the years. They still offer fresh products and unique grocery items(as well as standard fare) at very reasonable prices. The produce here is especially affordable, and that is what I usually stock up on. The bakery makes some very tasty items, especially their Tres Leches Cakes. If there was one area that could use some improvement, it would be the check-out stands that appear a bit antiquated, and are the weakest link(other than the parking lot) of shopping here.

Produce is well organized and mostly fresh and nicely priced, a lot of selection of grocery items, a panaderia or bakery, carniceria or meat counter and a small prepared food area. I’ll need to get back in here at some point to sample some of the prepared items.
