Stacey’s is a great place for breakfast. Their bacon is always cooked to perfection. Their Belgium waffles are fluffy and delicious. The wait staff friendly and fast. Eggs always cooked right. Busy for breakfast on weekends. You may have to wait.

Bland, dry, flat and not much bacon or feta in the omelet. So glad they had salt and tabasco on hand. About a half cup of grits was a little sparse. Service was good. Not on my list of places to ever return to.

I’ve lived in Denver my entire life, traveled around the United States extensively, and let me be the first to say Stacys it one of best diners around. If you’re looking to come into a place from somewhere else and complain about the food on the Internet please take your ass back to where you came from. On the menu for breakfast there is one of the best steak and egg combos you can find anywhere, also the spinach and feta omelet is usually on special. Plenty of options on for lunch and supper if you get a special you get a cup soup with it. Thursday is potato soup my favorite. Stacy, Faye and Pete are three of the best people I know and there isn’t a better beef tenderloin(filet mignon for you pilgrims who haven’t ever butchered an animal) for the price. Largest menu to be found, come early for the prime rib. p. s. Denver is special because we have welcomed people from other places in with open arms and love but if you make shit up about my friends I will burn the bridges and chase y’all across the river with a pitchfork

Eggs were still raw. I didn’t eat my breakfast and when I went to pay the lady behind the register charged me. I told h r the eggs were not cooked and she went and grabbed my plate and came out with it and she said I eat part of my egg and she had to charge me. NEVER again…

Can’t go wrong with a meal at stacys. I’ve had breakfast once and lunch twice at stacys. The lentil soup is delicious and the veggie plate options are good also. Nothing spectacular, it’s average. Lots of average food in the Denver area.

My wife and I had breakfast here Saturday 2÷8÷14 and we were shocked. After many a good breakfast here, this place has done a 180 down hill. The second our server walked up I knew what we were in for, as she had the personality of a cactus. My wife order scrambled eggs hash browns and toast. I ordered over medium eggs, hash browns and a gravy biscuit. The food was brought out at room temp. not even warm. My eggs were scrambled and my wife had no toast. We would have sent it back had our server ever shown up again but she did not, my wife never got her toast nor did we ever get our coffee refilled. When we asked for the check the server knew we were not happy campers, but instead of trying to make things right, she just threw our check on the table and walked away. No «How was everything?», No «Have a good day», NOTHING, just threw the check on the table and walked away. When we went to pay my wife said let me handle this as she is more tactful and less profane than I am in situation like this. She told the cashier what had happened and she apologized and said the meal was on the house, like I would have paid for it any way since we left over half of it on our plates. I don’t know what happened but no more Stacy’s for us. I refuse to pay for bad food and lousy service.

Mediocre is being nice. I went for dinner when I first moved here 6yrs ago and didn’t plan on going back until I was told their breakfast was what was good. I’ve tried going for breakfast and the first time it was average, I ordered eggs, hard to mess up. The second time I ordered french toast and it was burnt and barely warm. I will not being giving them another try. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the service wasn’t bad.

I really don’t like writing bad reviews on restaurants that are close to home and especially those that are independently run. I drive by this place regularly on my way to Charlotte. I would love to be able to support this small business. However, I have to agree with the reviewer that said the food tasted like it came out of cans. The complimentary potato soup tasted like thinned flour paste. No basic seasoning on any of my food. There is a funky smell when entering the restaurant, which was a real turn off. Sorry Stacy’s

I have to laugh at Mr. S’s review whereupon he says… «Stacy’s,(not to mention Denver), is a great nearby destination, when you want to get away from the busyness of Charlotte.» Aside from the obvious misspelling, Mr. S really should get out more. Denver is a great destination? I would characterize it this way… Stacy’s is great food if great food is defined as whatever you unload in large buckets off the back of a Sysco truck. Highly processed food, uninteresting menu, zero atmosphere. But hey, it’s about all there is in Denver, so that explains a lot.

Stacy’s is the epitome of what a great family restaurant should be. I can’t say that I have any favorites, for I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve tried thus far. Prices are reasonable, and the comfort food they serve up is tasty and fresh. Service is attentive, without being overbearing. Stacy’s is one of the few places where I’ll save room for dessert: their peach cobbler is among the best I’ve had — topped off with a scoop of vanilla Deluxe Ice Cream :). Stacy’s,(not to mention Denver), is a great nearby destination, when you want to get away from the busyness of Charlotte. **** Note: «Busyness» is not«Business;» those who disagree might well advise the clueless dolts at Merriam-Webster, who apparently agree with my usage/spelling.

One of the best breakfast in town. Only complaint is sometimes it is difficult to get into the parking lot. but I definitely recommend it!

Perhaps the best breakfast location in North Carolina. Be sure to try their waffles – super yummy. We love going to Stacey’s on the weekend but would be amazing any day of the week.

I’ve been here for breakfast, dinner and love the food! It’s a really good low-key, ‘sweet tea’ kind of place. Good people abound and the portions are good.

The traditional eatery of Denver of the East. Cost to worth it ratio: 4.5(it’s amazing what you can get here for $ 7 – and that’s not a special deal, it’s the norm) Highlights: — Comfort food’s galore: most American items you could want from steak to chicken to fried shrimp. – Country style steak: not on the main menu but always a special. Instead of one big hunk, it’s served in a few pieces – better to soak up the gravy with. ;-) And that gravy is luscious: thick brown sauce with bits of meat. Hint: get fries as your side and drag them through the gravy to sop it all up. – Beef tips: pieces of steak full of herbs reminiscent if Greek flavors. Paired with onions and green peppers, this is some good stuff. — Sides: one of my favorite things about this place – such a variety that puts comfort food into full gear. I adore how you get to pick 2 with your meal. Regular items like fries, mashed potatoes, and fried okra to specials like broccoli casserole, macaroni and cheese, and scalloped potatoes. – Yam fries: they don’t always have em, but when they do, it can’t he missed. Deep fried thick long chunks of sweet yam – Okra: fried perfectly not disturbing the essence of the natural okra — Vegetable soup: fresh tomato broth with a substantial array of vegetables – just what you want a vegetable soup to be. — Atmosphere: quintessential small town feel – everyone knows everyone else. The hub has been coming here with his family since he was a kid. Simple surroundings like you’d expect with tables in the middle and booths on the side. Lowlights(my flip side to highlights): — Hours: not open some evenings and not at all Sunday — Desserts: I’m always so full I never get to have any, but I bet it’s great. We’re bound to be back to this charming spot every time we visit the hub’s
