Starbucks

Went here at 930 and the place was closed despite saying it is open till 10. We were there on 1÷6÷16

I love Starbucks, but this isn’t my favorite location. Working downtown, I’m always in a rush so I used the mobile order so it would be ready when I stopped by. It was ready! But when I brought my co-​worker their drink, they asked for no whipped cream, and there was definitely whipped cream on it. It even said «no whip» on the label that they put on the cup. It’s hard not to like a Starbucks, but I’d rather get my coffee from somewhere else downtown. :(

I love finding new and different Starbucks. And yes, they can be different. In architecture, in décor and in personality. An urban modern store is oh so different than a suburban drive thru. And I happen to prefer the urban variety.
That said, what is most important is the quality of the service and of the product, and I have found that in my particular category of drink, Starbucks consistently outperforms most any other place I have tried, from coast to coast. And in general, their quality of training is pretty good though humans are not robots and there is always some variation.
This store performed quite well today. I was greeted, my specialized order was taken and it was well made. The store was clean and bright on a quiet Saturday in an area I presume is quite hectic on a busy workday. Since I usually «need» a Starbucks stop on any adventure, should I find myself back in this Union Station area of Denver, I would absolutely stop in here again. Just know that this is a walk up urban store so don’t come cruising around in a car looking to park it.

The newest Starbucks in Lodo is right across the street from Union Station, the address is technically on 16^th street. With all the new construction in the area I can say with 100% certainty that this Starbucks will be very busy with it serving all the new apartments in the Union Station area as well as all the office buildings in the area. The convenience rating for this Starbucks is ¹⁰⁄₁₀.
I found the barista’s to be friendly, service to be adequate, my drink was perfect, and the space is large. Ample seating if you want to meet someone or just relax in the afternoon or evening. Hours are 5:30am-10:00pm and I’m pretty sure they’re closed on Sunday’s.
I’m quite sure I will become a regular here in no time at all, who knows, maybe even duchess. I’ll see my fellow coffee addicts in line.
