Steve’s Transmissions and Gears

In June 2015, I was driving cross country and towing a 27 foot enclosed trailer when I broke 5^th gear somewhere in Kansas. My friend found Steve’s shop on Craigslist and called them around 5pm. His son Mike said if I could get the transmission (an NV4500 from a Dodge Ram 3500) to him the next morning he’d do his best to get me back on the road.
I limped the truck to Denver through the night in 4^th gear and called Mike at around 10:30am and told him I’d found a lift to rent. He said to give him a call about 30 minutes before the transmission was out and he’d see if he could spare a driver. I called when it was almost out, Mike himself showed up right on time at 1:15, and by some miracle had my transmission rebuilt and back to me by 4:15 that afternoon.
I’ve rarely experienced service like that, and it saved my whole road trip. I’d highly recommend Steve and Mike for any transmission work needed, the new transmission shifts great and the service was unbeatable.
