I signed a contract last year. They eventually got around to installing some six plus months later. Months later, they still hadn’t submitted the proper paperwork to the utility to get my solar installation running. You call and get nothing. You email and get nothing. I’m shocked that Costco uses them. Avoid this company like the plague. With this type of service, they won’t be around long no matter how many people they dupe. Edit on 12÷4÷15: Another month has passed and nothing has happened. Don’t be fooled by this duplicitous company. I have emailed management multiple times and — you guessed it — no response and no help. Their customer care team has responded, but been completely ineffective. In a few days it will have been a full year since I signed a contract. Avoid this company. Run away as fast as you can – and tell your friends. I’ll be posting this review anywhere I can.

I signed a contract with Sunrun on 5÷18÷15. I think the sales process was good, and I believe I got a good rate.(I’m leasing my panels.) The panels were installed 8÷26÷15, which is about a month and a half later than what the sales guy told me, but I was happy with how the project manager kept me updated. I understand that once installed and inspected, Xcel has like 7 weeks to inspect and install the net meter so I can turn the system on. However, that timeframe came and went without any communication from Sunrun or Xcel. I have now called three times starting on 10⁄9 about the status of my installation. I was told that Xcel Energy inspected the installation and had some items that needed to be resolved. When I called on 10/9, I was told I should hear from a team that was going to schedule the fixes. However, I never heard anything. I have since called two more times asking for more information, and was promised both times that I would hear from a team that would make the fixes. Still nothing. It has now been three weeks(beyond the 7 weeks I was waiting for the utility to install the net meter). While I was very satisfied with Sunrun up to the installation, I have been very disappointed in the way this has been handled over the past month. Absolutely zero communication – even after I have reached out via phone three times, and now online. As of this moment, I really have no idea when the panels that were installed on my roof over two months ago will be turned on. I signed the contract five and a half months ago, before summer. Now, my panels will likely go live sometime in November(I can only hope, since I have no information).
