If watching loud spanish infomercials and eating bad, overpriced Mexican food in an ex-IHOP is your thing then this is the place for you. Staff was courteous and nice. Environment is awful and food is on par with Casa Bonita. If you’re in the neighborhood and want to stop for lunch, keep driving.

Ordered tacos and Menudo. The lady at the counter tried to nice and take our order but was very distracted. Food wss served and some of our tacos were missing. Menudo was really hot. Tacos were pretty bland and greasy.

Err, I think this might be an OFF-DAY Taco Eating Experience here. Its 420. 420 is BIG in Colorado. This recent visit was on SUNDAY April 20th2014. Time was about 15:30hrs. It was indeed a very late Lunch for us. Since we don’t want to travel far, to this Taco Mex we went. I should have known. YES, you order at the counter, and the server will send the food to the table you are seating. When ordering, I guess a little miscommunication DID happened, coz the lady behind the counter DOESNOT speak as much as English and I DONOT speak as much as Spanish… At first I ask for the Soda, the staff, gave me the Strawberry Flavor from the Refrigerated Box, but I told her I want the Fanta Cola, Grape Flavor in SPANISH its UVA… I literally have to point it out to her, aka went to the Refrigerator and ask for the«Purple» one. aka FANTA Grape Flavor, then she picked out the right SODA for me. We ordered several Tacos of which MY order was Cabesa, Lengua, Birria and Carne Asada Tacos. Each Tacos was $ 1.25. Hubs as usual purchased the Mexican Coke Cola($ 2.00), while I opt for the Fanta Grape flavor Soda($ 2.00). Both SODAs was the tiny bottle though. *SIGH*
But when we received the TACOS orders, unfortunately, what I had ordered earlier, I received the WRONG order of Tacos. SADFACEINDEED. I wanted to return MY order, but«sucked» it up coz I was indeed starving. From what I could recall Hubs opt to have 4 Carne Asada Tacos. The portion was little to our liking, and the flavors of the meat DONOTWOW us as much. * DOUBLESIGH* *TRIPLEMEH* YES, the Tacos comes with Cilantro and Raw Diced Onions. YES, they have a Salsa Bar. Unfortunately the Salsa they happened to provide was NOTSPICY enough for our liking. ALL in all, perhaps due to the miscommunication, and even some of the Tacos went SOCOLDSOFAST, made me an Unhappy Kitten. *MAJORMAJORSIGH* YES, there are a couple of seating areas inside, and its good for Groups. But with this isolated incident, I guess we will stick to establishments, we like even though we need to travel 20 to 30 minutes away to satisfy those TACO CRAVINGs… My apologies for this TACO Rant! To make matter worst, my Bad, my cell phone went cranky on me, and the turn out for the pictures from my cell phone was very bad. *ENDOFCASEOFSIGH* TACOMEX — Tacos Y Mariscos 3780 Peoria Street, Denver, CO80239 Tel:(303) 373‑8193 @90/2014

TacoMex is a pretty typical little taco spot. The have a pretty good variety of taco options, but not nearly as many as other spots I like to go to. The place looks a little divey from the outside, but once you walk in it’s bright and has some pretty fantastic decorations. After checking out the menu, I decided to go for the Cabeza Torta. It was pretty good, but rather small compared to others I’ve had. It had a great flavor and hit the spot for me. My friend had an assortment of tacos and they all looked pretty good. I almost went back for a round of tacos, but decided to hold off. Overall it seemed like the place was well kept. The men’s bathroom could have used a little attention, but it was around lunch time when we went and they probably just needed to play catch up. TacoMex is an OK option in the area for some Mexican food and I’ll probably head back there one of these days.

Everything I’ve had here is good. They have a nice variety of food – all traditional Mexican, essentially the same as other TacoMex locations in this area, ranging from tacos to a full dinner. They also serve breakfast. I’m not a great judge of authenticity when it comes to Mexican food, but when I go there, most of the other diners are Hispanic. Most of the menu is posted at the front counter, but desserts and some other items(not to be missed) are posted at another counter at the back of the dining area. They do takeout and they’re open later than most other restaurants around here, which I find convenient. It can be very cheap or kind of pricy, depending on which items you order. The menu lacks prices, so it’s hard to tell in advance.
