All I really have to say is that the tacos were amazing and the customer service was on point. We had people other than our own server checking in on us which I really liked because we never had to wait long for things we needed. It’s also a great place to hang out with a group of friends, but just know that since it’s a great place to go; it gets busy fast so don’t be surprised if you have to wait long for a table.

There could be a long wait, but it’s so worth is. Brussels Sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. Tacos are soooo amazing! Be prepared to be stuffed, so many wonderful taco choices. Margaritas are great too!

The tacos are delicious, perfect blend of flavors, and just the right size. Monday is happy hour all night with great priced drinks and appetizers. I’m a big fan of the nachos, only $ 5 for HH! What I’m not a fan of is when the waitress seduces you with the description of their featured taco(pork belly with a pineapple crema today), so you order 2, and when the bill comes you discover they’re $ 6 a pop! Pinche, you’ve lost your mind, and probably my business for awhile.

This spot was recommended to us out-of-Townes by our Über driver, and we loved it! Flavorful, filling tacos and delicious refreshing non-alcoholic specials! The aqua fresca was a blend of cucumber and pineapple(more like a juice than a water) — amazing. I would drink it every day. Ambiance was great, staff was great, this would definitely be a local spot for me if I lived in Denver.

Oh. My. LORD!!! The FLAVORS! This place is so good. Slammed on a Friday at 7 and we still parked right out front. 4 of us(2 adults 2 kids) they said 45 min but we only waited 30. Did I mention slammed? While waiting we had a beer marg and a pinche mule. Good stuff. Good service. Frickin amazing salsa. The tomatillo. You better LOVE cilantro like I do otherwise GTFO. The brussel sprouts were so frickin good. Zomg the TACOS!!! BLAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! I don’t have words for how good that fried chicken taco was. It was all so good. Zomg.

A true gem! I’m brand new to Denver and wanted to nail down my taco spot. This is it, hands down. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, attentive bartenders and best of all excellent tacos. Lengua is always a favorite. Bookmark either location, they are crushing it! Thanks!

Pinche, Pinche, Pinche!(I’m fluent in Spanish so this is not something I generally say. But I have to. I love Pinche more than anything!) Here’s the thing: my love affair with Pinche is so great that sometimes the dude and I drive all the way up from Colorado Springs to share some queso con tequila, a taco or two, and a generous serving of cilantro-lime juice, and then drive all the way back down home. Crazy? Maybe. Worth it? Entirely. Sometimes I DREAM about the pollo agave tacos. But see, it’s not even the food that I’m so in love with. We generally sit at the bar no matter where we are, and we have always, always, always had a genuinely lovely experience with the bartenders. They’re attentive, fun, full of personality, and they work just as hard as we do during the week — but still have a great time. I love the energetic vibe here, I admire the way the City Park location is packed at any hour of any day, and I truly dig the authenticity. Pinche will always get my vote, and so will the staff.(The kitchen folks work harder than most of us — they deserve mad props too.) A+ on all accounts.

How can you go wrong with tacos, tequila, and whiskey?! I came here for happy hour. The place is very busy and after my first visit here, I see why. I tried a couple of their tacos and all of them were delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try the others. I ordered the queso fundido con chorizo. Best cheese dip ever! It comes in a mini skillet so it is sizzling hot. The skillet is still hot so by the time the cheese cooled and solidified, it was like eating the best part of a pizza: the slightly burnt cheese! The just made chips that accompany it is very fresh and crispy. I didn’t save room for dessert, but I had to try the churros anyway due to the reviews on Unilocal. The recommendation did not dissappoint. I was very stuffed by the time I left this place, but very satisfied as well.

Very friendly service! Everyone makes you feel important. I love the open kitchen concept. It’s neat to see the three ladies back there making all of the tacos. We tried 3 different tacos and all were delicious — the chicken(very tender and flavorful), the mushroom(delicious even for meat lovers), and the fish(a little spicy but excellent flavor). I love that their margaritas don’t have sweet and sour mix, the only sweetener they use in the Purist is agave. Perfect!

If you are looking for a quite place to slowly enjoy your tacos don’t come here. The place is small and popular. I see in a lot of reviews people complaining about the wait. I have been here at least 10 times and have never had a wait more than a few minutes. But because it is small I don’t come in the middle of dinner service and expect to be seated immediately. I love the environment. It ‘s loud and small and fast moving. The tacos are legit. I have had a couple that were just ok but most were pretty darn good. The margs are tasty too. I have always had friendly service here. My advice don’t over order. You can always order another couple tacos during your meal if you need to.

My co-workers have mentioned this place several times so it was time to try it. There’s limited parking so plan to circle around or park on the street. The parking entrance is from York st. Also plan to wait a bit because they’re fairly popular. It was crowded, close seating, and loud when I was there on a Wednesday night at 8pm. I prefer a quieter place when I dine out. I ordered 6 different tacos to go based on the server’s recommendation and the ingredients were well prepared and fresh. I especially liked the use of pickled onions and mahi mahi taco.

Alright with all this buzz around Denver about the best tacos(Pinches Vs. Torchy’s) I had to try them both to settle my own curiosities. Pinches’s was awesome! Loved the atmosphere, great happy hour prices on drinks, stellar service, and yummy tacos! All the drinks we made fresh with house made liqueurs and mixes — we had a Michelada, Cucumber Cilantro, and Limeade. They all were great! The chips are flaky and warm. There is a wide variety of salsas to chose from — the bartender recommended we try the smoky one, the tomatillo, and the hot pico version. All were great! The tacos were also amazing. From Veggie– to pork– to chicken– to fish. They all had flavor. Would definitely come back– check out all day Happy Hour on Mondays! In terms of the Pinche Vs Torchy’s debate. If you are looking for a more sit down atmosphere with more authentic flavors and spice go to Pinches! You won’t be disappointed.

Tacos were amazing and food was delicious. However our waitress was rude, when asked about what she recommends she acted putout, and to busy. When asked about our appetizer(that was clearly forgotten) she walked away without saying anything, we were then served by someone else, and when our queso(which was amazing) was brought to the table she stated«was this not brought out at the right time» and walked away before we could answer. We never got our queso until after I asked about it 20 minutes later. I was so looking forward to trying the tacos here as we had heard so many good things. Just bummed by the service. Might try again.

This place is an absolute home run! Came here with a group of 8, they helped us find a table and proceeded to blow our minds! You must get the breakfast drinks, Bloody Mary or Mimosa. Then you should get the chips and salsa and try every salsa they have! After that order tacos to your hearts desire! They serve family style, but trust me it’s plenty of food and the wait staff help a lot! Lastly get the chorizos! Go now. thank me later.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. I am never disappointed and don’t mind waiting. Being a creature of habit I always order the same thing. Queso fundido is the perfect starter, and their carne asada tacos are the best! Goes great with a Modelo michelada. Don’t forget dessert! Churros with abuelita chocolate. Service is a little slow sometimes but the food makes up for it.

Went in on a Friday night and was greeted by a moderate wait, but also with a bar menu for drinks. A little hectic, but the space was full and people were enjoying themselves. Cocktails were pretty good. Off menu shishito queso was recommended by our friendly server and was on point. The true stars of the night were the taco special — tempura fried soft shell crab and the churros! Would happily return — great food and prices to match.

This place is awesome for happy hour, with a wide selection of beers, cocktails, and tacos. Seating can fill up fast, so arrive early if you don’t want to wait for a seat. There is also al fresco dining too. The quality and flavor of the tacos and salsas is superb. Each is a small work if art, more like appetizer size, so you can try as many as you like. Just take the dry erase marker, check off what you want and hand the menu to your server. Repeat as necessary. The service is outstanding, with friendly, attentive staff who can fill you in our answer any questions about the menu. The food arrives hot after a very short wait.

Love me some Pinche Tacos! We started with chips and salsa in which you get to choose 3 different salsas. I forgot the name but the roasted red salsa was very flavorful and not too spicy. The roasted tomatillo salsa is spicier but very flavorful. I got the special which was buttery lobster on a sweet potato tort… Delish! I also got the mahi mahi taco with chimichurri sauce and a grilled chicken taco with an al fresco salad on top. One of the tacos my husband got was the lengua taco. He boasted about this one and said it was his favorite. I like that you can get a wide variety of items and try very different things. Establishment is very small and do not take reservations. It is worth the wait! I wil be going back and highly recommend it!

Formerly known as Pinche Taqueria, but I can kinda see why they renamed the place. For those who don’t speak Spanish, let’s just say pinche means«less than reputable», although the meaning is actually much stronger in reality. Yikes. Nonetheless, the food/tacos were actually very good, so it’s probably good that they switched the name. We initially came in a large group, but were told it would be a 45 minute wait, and we weren’t looking to wait that long, so we went next door to Three Lions. Yet, people were really jonesin’ for tacos the entire weekend, so we ended up going back to try our luck the next night, with a smaller group. Thus, I would not recommend this place if you have more than 8 people. Groups of 4 were actually sort of forced to share the larger communal tables too, so make sure you’re okay with potentially sharing your table with strangers. I went with the lengua, carnitas and pulpo(octopus) tacos. All of them were very good, although I think the lengua was my favorite, as it had a bit of a crisp on the edges, and it had that richness and chewiness you get with lengua. The pulpo was cooked very nicely too, although at $ 5, I would have gotten another lengua taco if I wasn’t trying to experiment with everything. Drinks were pretty standard, as I tried some of their margaritas, but personally went with beer. Prices in general are a bit on the more expensive side for tacos, ranging from $ 3.50 to $ 5. Yet, the quality of ingredients seems pretty legit, and they do load up these tacos with all the fillings, so in all, I think it’s worth it for most of the tacos. The waitstaff in general wasn’t the most attentive, but it wasn’t bad enough that our experience was ruined. One of the guys working behind the counter kept running into me, which was sort of irking, but our waitress kept apologizing for him, so that’s all you really can do. This review should really be 3.5 stars, but I guess I’ll round up due to the quality of the food. This is definitely a fun spot for some tacos, although the service is a bit subpar. As the place is fairly small, be prepared to wait if you have a large group, or if you’re visiting during peak hours(duh). I’ll likely be back the next time I’m in Denver, perhaps to try their other location in Highland.

We had a pretty good experience here at Pinche. Got recommendations from a couple people so we decided to cheat on our regular taco Tuesday place and give this place a try. Place was pretty poppin but somehow the taco gods must have been smiling upon us because as two we got seated immediately. I ordered a michelada and the beau got a margarita. I was very pleased with my beer. Michelada mix is one way to make shitty beer taste good. Their mix is wonderfully spiced, which I appreciated because sometimes I have to Doctor a places mix up. Not Pinche. We also ordered chips and salsa to start. We fancy ourselves salsa connoisseurs so we always have to do a salsa sampler at places. Pinches was good, my only beef is that we got the second«spiciest» and it tasted mild to me :-(I really enjoy my spice and I understand not everyone is a spice freak… but isn’t that why you have multiple salsas? To offer something for everyone! I guess next time we will have to go spiciest, but you live and you learn. Another thing to note the tomatillo salsa tastes very much like the cilantro mint chutney you get at an Indian restaurant. Was very surprised by this but believe me I’m not complaining. I practically drink that stuff when I go to Indian… it’s gotta be all that cilantro. Big fan. Now on to the tacos. These are some gourmet b’s. I got the fish taco, the shrimp, and the crema pollo, and I enjoyed each and every one. The only thing missing once again was the spice which I usually would have just added some of the salsa but alas it was not spicy. A few other things to note. The service here was fantastic. Our server was awesome and super attentive. She really was great and a pleasure to be waited on by. Also the ambiance here is pretty rad. We will be back

Y’all gotta come here on Monday for sure, all day happy hour! $ 4 drinks(including great wine and margaritas), plus an impressive array of 3-$ 5 appetizers. I had the happy hour Malbec(very easy to drink and robust) and the deviled eggs, which are covered in onion, cilantro, crispy chorizo, cotija, and a tangy chipotle sauce. Mmmm, I love spiced up deviled eggs. These had so much flavor, I could have eaten a dozen. Adam ordered the queso with chorizo which was incredible, I had a bite. However, if you have Celiacs you should steer clear of the tortilla chips which are fried in a shared fryer. There are plenty of other gluten free options, however. Most of their tacos are safe to eat. We tried the grilled mahi mahi(generous portion of fish but a bit bland), the carnita, the barbacoa(both as you’d expect, I’d order again), and a mushroom taco which I forget the name of, but it was beautiful. So earthy and strong and addictive. It was by far my favorite taco. The tacos are between $ 3.25 to $ 4.50 each, and they’re all pretty tasty and made with quality ingredients as far as I can tell. Really fun atmosphere in here too. Everyone seems to be having an amazing time, and it’s packed. Expect to wait awhile for a table.

***NOTE: This review is based PURELY on service. I didn’t even have a chance to eat the food.*** I wanted to take my sister and a group of her friends out for her birthday and this place looked pretty amazing(according to the pictures). Tips: THEYDONOTTAKERESERVATIONS. They ONLY seat if YOURENTIREPARTYISTHERE. We had a party of six individuals. One of us went around 6:00pm and told the host we had a party of six. The host said we had to wait around an hour. Ok. Fine, we will do it. THEREISNOWHERETOWAIT btw. you’re standing by the door, or somewhere by the wall between tables so it’s really cramped in there. We wait an hour. the rest of the party arrives between 7:00 — 7:20. We were waiting on one more person who was LITERALLY parking her car down the street. We went up to one of the hosts and the host said we had been waiting over an hour and were wondering when the next table would open up. The host told us that WEWOULDBENEXT. We see the workers putting together a table of six as soon as we ended the conversation with the host. We are assuming that was our table, because why wouldn’t it be since the host told us that WEWERENEXT. However, instead of coming to us, asking if our entire party was there, they seated a different party… even though they told us we were next. We go up to the host, ask her about what just happened, and then she says, «Is your entire party here?» To which I reply, «Our last member is literally parking outside.» The host then says, «I’m sorry, we can’t seat you until your entire party is here.» Ok.W. T. F? Let me clear a couple things up: 1.I’m pissed because they didn’t even ask us if our party was complete. Someone told us we were next, set up a table(having us believe that we were next), and then proceeded to seat a different party. 2. Their policy to seat everyone once they are all there is super rigid. Because the individual who was parking would take another minute to walk inside, we would have to wait another…30−40 minutes? That’s insane. We were not going to wait over two hours to eat. 3. We were waiting over an hour at this point, the least you can do is communicate with us on wtf is going on instead of telling us we’re next and have us eagerly wait, only to see you seating a different party. We eventually left and found another restaurant to eat at. Based on service, I would never go to this location again.

The good: happy hour, drinks, chips & salsa, most of the tacos. The mediocre: cramped space, volume, communal tables. The bad: some of the prices. I promise I’m not totally anti-social, I just don’t love communal tables. When I’m out to eat with friends I’d like to be able to sit and talk with THEM and not the total strangers next to me. Communal tables at such small restaurants make that a challenge, especially when it’s open seating. Human nature means they’ll leave a single seat making for awkward«can you move down» conversations. Margs are good, some nights better than others. Tacos are good, esp the agridulce. My husband likes the pollo agave. While $ 4ish/taco isn’t the worst pricing, it’s also not really«street taco» pricing. It’s just an issue of semantics.

Believe the hype — best tacos in the world!!! For between $ 3-$ 4 a taco, you can mix and match from their exceptionally creative menu. I came with some friends and between the three of us, I think we must’ve tried each taco on the menu. We all were raving about each one! The pescado and the carnitas were probably my favorites — both came with pickled onions, something I wouldn’t imagine myself enjoying but ended up tasting delicious… they gave the tacos incredible flavor. This is THE place to go to happy hour — the palomas are absolutely awesome and only $ 4! They also have a number of happy hour small plates at great prices that are unbelievable… our table loved the barbacoa nachos and deviled eggs. Go try Pinche now!!!

I love the people here. And it doesn’t matter who. The host, the waiter, even the sweet lady that pours me water– they’re all genuinely nice and amazingly attentive. Drinks…awesome. Especially the pinche Paloma. If you don’t show up in the right mood, a couple of those will fix you right up. The tacos… like nothing I’ve ever had. You go about your day while these guys sit around stewing and marinating delicious meats. Just long enough that by the time you get here, they can pile it high on a chewy tortilla and top it all with some beautifully crafted veggie or sauce that’ll brilliantly compliment whichever meat it arrives with. Current favorites: Pollo Molcajete — grilled, smoky, tangy Lengua — crispy, rich, spicy Pollo Agave — rich, sweet, crunchy Customer service that never quits, an atmosphere second to none, and food that blows my mind. Five stars I say!

I thought this place was called Pinche’s? Why couldn’t I find that when I checked in? I guess it doesn’t matter cuz the food was the bomb. I had heard about this place for several months and I am so happy I finally was able to try it on Sunday. I ordered the carnitas taco and the asada. The carnitas tacos was soooooooooooooooo good. I loved the flavor of the pickled cabbage and pork in my mouth. It was spot on. I didn’t care as much for the asada taco. I’ve had better asada tacos at different places. I do want to try the shrimp and scallop one when I go back. The table next to us ordered that and it looked delicious. The prices really weren’t that bad, especially for the quality of food you get. We ordered the brussell sprouts appetizer and it was delicious too. I do wish the space was bigger. I liked the more intimate feel of having a smaller place, but since the place is so busy, it would’ve been nice to not have to wait due to spacing. I have a new love for street tacos and they variety of flavors«Pinche’s» brings. I can’t wait to go back.

The place is pretty small but there is indoor and outdoor seating. The worse part is they won’t seat you until your WHOLE party is there. As in not majority but every single person. I guess there is a happy hour that ends at 6 that has pretty good deals too. I would recommend that you try the queso(they have a few different kinds). My friend is making me mention that the tray they serve the queso on is hot because she touched it and it burnt her finger. Happy now Megan!!! They have a big list of tacos and you mark how many of each you want. They then bring them all out on a big tray. Overall really good food and fun atmosphere. Paris the bartender makes some wicked good drinks too.

Wow it only took me like 3 years to finally check this place out Lol I’m really on top of things! Rolled through on Thursday with 4 friends. We enjoyed: the queso served on a skillet with warm(!!!) tortilla chips, 2 servings of the guac(strong lime flavor which I love), margaritas, and about 10 tacos with fish, carnitas, chicken, mushroom(obviously for my vegetarian friend. Why are we friends again? Jk) and lengua. I thought everything was great with really unique flavors. The restaurant is small but it’s cozy and decorated really cute. The staff was friendly and helpful and one of the bartenders hooked us up with some fruity tequila shots. That is truly the way to my heart pumping with ancient Aztec Mexican blood. It’s a day later and I’m still thinking about this place because I really want to go back already! I see why people rave about this place. Good food, good vibes, good drinks! PS– Other reviews mention this, but the tacos come chock full of fillings, so it’s smart to use the extra tortilla to make a second taco. BAM! Extra tacos, you’re welcome planet earth!!!

I didn’t expect a 20 minute wait on a Monday night but I soon realized that the crowd was due to Monday’s all-day happy hour. For happy hour they have discounted appetizers and small bites as well as cocktails but the tacos are not included in the happy hour pricing. I came for the tacos(they ranged from $ 3.50-$ 4.50) & I was able to try 4: 1. lengua: Triple-cooked Colorado beef tongue-served crispy, avocado, diced onion & cilantro, roasted tomatillo salsa, guajillo honey mayo 2. pescado: Chipotle & beer battered fish, slaw, avocado & pineapple guacamole, pickled red onions, lime 3. taco estilo abril: Griddled cotija cheese, roasted chile poblano, creamed chipotle corn, sour cream(reminded me of elotes) 4. shrimp & scallop xnic pec: Pan roasted shrimp & scallops, yucatan pico de gallo, avocado crema, lime My favorite by far was the lengua. The flavor was on point & the tongue was tender & flavorful. I liked the abril as well but thought texturally it wasn’t as interesting since everything was pretty much liquidy or soft. The pescado was fun & colorful with bright pink pickled onions that were more sour than I expected. I got a limeade soda cocktail for $ 3 from the cocktail menu & thought it was delicious! For folks who like to feel their alcohol but not taste it, this is the cocktail for you! I could definitely drink more of these based on flavor but the alcohol does kick in a bit later. The ambience here is fun, dim, relatively modern, hip & loud. There is outdoor seating as well with some outdoor lighting. Inside they have a little wall cubby area where you can take photos(by the bathroom). This place is synonymous with Pinche Tacos(taco truck). All the workers will be wearing Pinche Taco shirts & the walls will have the word pinche on it everywhere so don’t get confused! This is 1 of their 2 locations in Denver. There’s limited parking so street parking might be necessary. I was too full to try their churros but it looked delicious(& is the only dessert item they offer). The price is higher than what you’re used to paying for a street taco(especially if you’re someone like me who’s used to buying Mexican street tacos @ the flea market in San Jose for $ 2) but the creative menu & variety of taco options makes it worth it. I don’t get why the most expensive taco on the menu is the vegan gluten free 1. Our waitress wasn’t particularly friendly(didn’t smile or greet us) but the hostess was super friendly which made up for our bored/disinterested waitress.

Came here for lunch after trying the one on 32nd St. The value was definitely not there when not not eating at happy hour prices. The shrimp taco consisted of three tine shrimp and a boatload of pico making it more vegetarian than seafood. The Asada on the other hand had great flavor albeit overpriced considering that it was minuscule.

I went to Pinche last Friday for happy hour. We were told the wait was 30 minutes and we almost went next door(didn’t want to miss happy hour!), but then the hostess mentioned there was a community table available and that she may have to seat someone else next to us at some point. Perfect. I ordered the Pinche Paloma, which was a nice alcoholic grapefruit refresher. It tasted great and it was only $ 4 on the happy hour menu. For food, we had the chorizo deviled eggs. They were super good– a bit spicy and pretty innovative. I also had 2 tacos. The lamb taco and beer battered fish tacos. The lamb taco was out of this world(I love lamb and it was super tender and tasty). The beer battered fish tacos were decent, but nothing amazing. I would definitely go back to order the lamb and maybe the beef tongue or something of the like(or maybe just all lamb tacos :)). Atmosphere-wise, Pinche has a nice patio, along with cool decorations inside the restaurant(Day of the Dead skulls, etc). All in all, I enjoyed the happy hour and food and would return!

I came here for dinner. The place was super busy from their happy hour. It was from 3−6pm(a bit earlier than I’m used to), so I completely missed happy hour. That didn’t stop me from trying some fun things, as the hostess was able to find me a single seat amidst some larger parties. My server, Jennah, was super attentive, friendly, and quick. The house margarita was excellent and a great value. I don’t like my margaritas too sweet, and they were more than accommodating about lightening up on the simple syrup. The tacos were amazing! I had the shrimp and scallop xinic-pec, hontigo, and the pork belly agridulce. My favorites were the hontigo and the pork belly. The hontigo had a great blend of mushrooms that had a delightful chew to them making every bite an umami explosion. The pork belly was very unique in that it was braised in a sweet and sour sauce. The skin had a nice crisp to it, and the cabbage helped to balance out the sweetness with more acidity. Overall, everything I had was great! I would definitely recommend stopping by if you get the chance!
