Yes, this is a typical southern fish camp style restaurant. Most is fried and fried very well. They offer a few broiled-grilled items. However you get your meal the fish is always fresh.

Not a fan of this place at all. Food is overpriced. it must be the fountain of youth Poncé De Leon was looking for because the amount if grease on all the food has to be what’s keeping this aged clientele alive.

I wish I could give Less than one star. The food is terrible here is overpriced. Gone here multiple times of years and every time we leave I asked myself why did we bother.

When I visited the fish was over cooked and fishy and overpriced. Salad bar was more like taco/potato toppings than actual salad. Not sure why so many people go there.

The parking lot always seems packed between 530 and 7 o’clock so we had to give this place a try. I was so excited to take my family to try this seafood restaurant. That was very short-lived as almost everything seem to be fried! The salad bar was very plain and typical. Where in the world is the alcohol because I truly needed some!!! Well the answer is we don’t serve alcohol because were a family restaurant. Well it seems more like it was a retirement community restaurant because almost everybody in there had to be on Social Security. I will say that my son did enjoy his meal because he got crab legs. He said they were very good but my steak was absolutely thin, overcooked and tasted like it came out oven institutionalize kitchen. I guess they’re doing okay because the parking lot is always busy so on this one I will have to say try it once and decide for yourself.

Go here for the scallops — that is what they do best. Salt and pepper fried scallops are so good! The salad bar is ok and a nice addition to your meal and the onion rings and cole slaw(seafood restaurant staples) are pretty good, but again, the scallops are the reason to go here! And, just like other ‘fish camp’ style restaurants, their candy selection at the cash register is great.

There are many unexplained wonders in this world… the parking lot full of cars every weekend night at this place ranks as one of them. This is a fish place for people who have no clue what good fish is… it’s the«Golden Corral of the Sea» whereupon every senior within 5 square miles goes for what reason I can’t explain… cheap eats? This place attracts a clientele that resembles what would happen if the cast of Hee Haw and Golden Girls got together… but enough about the regulars, your here for the seafood, right. Wrong. I wish I could say the food explained the phenomenon I referenced earlier, but it doesn’t. There is nothing unique, special or different about this places. It’s a crowded version of Long John Silvers… if that. With a line for the salad bar that resembles a military mess tent. Better plan: Go to Harris Teeter, buy yourself some nice Tilapia, Flounder, Sea Bass or better yet, some Pacific(not Atlantic!) salmon. Go home, fire up the grill, and go to town. Now you’re eating decent seafood. I can promise you, you won’t get anything at this place half as good. And just what the hell is a «fish camp» anyway?

Was in the area Sat. nite, read the reviews, don’t understand why it was rated low. Our experience was good hubby had the grilled salmon and I had the broiled flounder included the salad bar and a sweet potato most fish camps don’t offer sweet potato anymore. Service was excellent ! Had been to many other fish camp, this location is good.
