Ordered the Orange County Omelette. The hollandaise sauce came out ice cold. Manager said they don’t heat it. Ever had ice cold hollandaise? Disgusting. My spouse had ice cold waffle. The waiter in big hurry. I changed for eggs & toast. Everything taste like cheap commercial grade food. Not fresh. I could never go back to this place.

I ordered breakfast burrito to go, it was hot and made in timely fashion. My issue with the food was it was all potato, very small amount of egg and a piece of chorizo sausage that was size of quarter. I ordered all toppings on the side so it wouldn’t get soggy by time I ate it. When I opened the burrito I was very disappointed. If you like to pay 10 $ for all potato burrito this is the one for you.

We were invited to a birthday brunch here. When you walk in it has the smell of an IHOP. I don’t know what the smell is but it always smells like cheap, commercially made food to me. The staff was the best part of the meal. They were friendly and efficient. Our food arrived quickly. I ordered the peanut butter crunch French toast. It sounded like it was going to be coated in peanut butter, rolled in cornflakes and then griddled. It came out as regular French toast topped in PB and sprinkled with cornflakes. Not bad but something I could have made at home and not impressive. That was pretty much the way all the food was that I sampled. Decent but not fabulous or anything I would ever crave again.

Fast service, great prices, tasty breakfast. We walked for awhile and found this place. The restaurant is a little but small, though this should not turn you away. Very nice and clean inside as well.

I have been to this location a few times, and this past Sunday, it wasn’t as busy as I feared it would be. I was there around 9:30am; so, maybe I missed the rush. Anyway, I had a coupon for a free meal for my birthday. I ordered coffee and the basic breakfast, 2 eggs with ham, hashbrowns, and an English muffin. I wanted the eggs over medium, and I got good eggs! I think over medium seems to be a challenge for cooks sometimes even at this place. I took the ham home for my dogs and didn’t eat the English muffin there either. Honestly, I was pretty full after the eggs and potatoes. The coffee was good, too. My waitress was friendly but not overbearing. With the coupon, I only was charged under $ 3 before tip. The coupon made it a really good deal!

I lovED this location before I ran into their newest manager. Male, …Hispanic,(NORACISM please) Ok, soooo here is the situation… I was eating brunch with two business associates who happened to be black, I happen to be white.(NORACISM please)…I had coupons to use. My printer printed a couple more than I needed so, we each gave a discount coupon to a table! YeS!!! I get it… They are trying to make money. So, we gave out 3 coupons for discounts to people we didn’t know, we were reprimanded by this manager and one of the female(longer termer) who I won’t describe because you would know here when you saw her if I did and she does make her living doing this work as a professional waitress, needless to say was REPRIMANDED for doing this and then I was interrogated about how I got the coupon and if I was the person named on the coupon. AREYOUKIDDING!!! LOL So anyhow, he proceeded to wag his finger at me and argue his point with me. WHODOESTHAT? Nowadays it seems like everyone in the customer service industry feels the need to be right? When did the customer is always(OK87%, by my standards because I am the damn bitch spending her money with you) ANDTIPYOU!!! go by the wayside because the service person«Knows, they are right!!!» Comon people. So, I say to you, if The Delectable Egg can’ t give 4 tables a simple discount, very I think it was freaking 15%, seriously, then I’m not interested in patronizing them. What really stinks is that I have a free breakfast coming, do I go get it and then make my stand or do I let it go and never use it again, and loose out on having a «know it all, judmental woman who makes her living by waiting tables(no issue with this what-so-ever, believe me, I raised my younger kiddos doing it in college) wag her finger at me about being nice and giving a discount??? HMMMM, as I scratch my head with my middle finger.

UPDATE: We decided to take the manager, Roberto Martinez, up on his offer to make things right. We are glad that we did! He was kind and generous(took the two highest priced entrees, plus two coffees off of our bill) this a.m. We sat in the same place(we’re a party of six) and it was pleasant. We will return! Very disappointed this a.m. Food was fine. Our waitress was enthusiastic and thoughtful. The problem, you know by the two stars that there was one. We(six) were seated in the front at a circular table. About half way through our meal, a large party of five was seated directly behind at a four top booth, putting the fifth person on the end of the booth. That left maybe a couple of feet between our backs in a major route for all servers. I scooted in so that my torso was touching the table. REPEATEDLY I was bumped as servers moved through the restaurant. Spoke with the manager before we left, he apologized. He did not, however, offer any kind of comp. Hence, this review. We often meet my parents at this restaurant for breakfast. We will be looking elsewhere. UPDATE: We decided to take the manager, Roberto Martinez, up on his offer to make things right. This place is ordinary. The ingredients feel like the stuff you’d get at Safeway. Not particularly fresh but not past their date. When we were waiting in line, at the front, the hostess asked a father, three teenaged boys, and a 4-year-old«How many kids’ menus do you want?» That’s embarrassing to the teenagers. The omelette I had was on the small side, and didn’t have that much filling. The tomatoes I ordered in place of toast were, as mentioned above, not particularly fresh. From the outside of the place, it looks a lot cleaner than it actually is. It’s not dirty, per se, but there are places on the walls where the paint has chipped off and little bits of straw wrappers and food are here and there on the floor. It feels like these guys are on auto-pilot. They are in a great location for getting suburban customers, have enough to coast, and they’re going with it.

This place gets busy since it’s the only breakfast joint in the area. Get here early on the weekends if you don’t want to be on the wait list. The food is decent. I had the Idaho skillet and it did the job with filling me up. I love the green onions sprinkled on top of the potatoes. Gave it a good flavor. My friend’s Denver omelette was pretty sad though. There were no tomatoes, barely any cheese, and only a sprinkle of chopped ham. It was also dry and overcooked. Service was pretty decent until we got to the end and needed our tab. Our server, when we finally tracked him down, said that they were having issues at the front with printing up the bill. I guess they were training a new cashier, but it took over 15min to get our tab. They do have a loyalty club card that you can sign up for and it’s free. When you spend $ 100, you get $ 10.00 off your next visit. Since this is the only real breakfast venue in this area, $ 100 is highly attainable in a short period of time. I decided to sign up. Hopefully, my next visit will be a quicker one.

While the food is exactly what I expected, nothing spectacular but hot, fresh and as ordered, the real reason for 5 stars was the service. Christine did a great job helping me. She explained everything, checked in at just the right intervals, and engaged in conversation with me and other tables showing real interest. I noticed the other servers did not have the same rapport with their tables. She is the one that deserves the 5 stars!

21 minutes just to get orange juice .menu says its fresh squeezed but it is not it tastes like it’s from concentrate. The food is not a big deal. At least for the breakfast part of it I ordered french toast. If I were to come here again order a lunch item.

Came in since I had a free birthday entrée. I usually get the eggs, bacon and French toast and it was served just right. The coffee was also very flavorful – so many places have free refills but the coffee is bitter – but not here. Waitress was very polite and efficient. I came here with my boyfriend after a 15 hour drive from Illinois. The food is delicious and the hospitality is even better. The hostess, Carmen, I believe was so nice and started up a conversation with us right away. We informed her that we were out there to vacation but to also find a neighborhood to live in. Later on in the meal the manager, Patrick, came over and spoke with us as well. He even gave us phone numbers of realtors to help make the moving process a little easier. As far as the food goes, my boyfriend got an omelette, which he devoured. I got the cinnamon apple crêpe. Everything tasted great. I highly recommend this place.

My go to dish when trying out new breakfast places is Eggs Benedict — and this place scores high marks for theirs. Delicious. I have lived near this place for years and finally was invited by a friend to have breakfast there. Why did I wait so long? Overall the amount of food and the prices are a decent value. I will be back.

I always wonder how this place stays in business… oh wait, it’s because people like me actually go back when it’s not stellar but it’s the only option in that area, but I’ve gone for the last time now. I’ve had quite a number of things from their menu and nothing is great, everything is average, at best. Most of the items I’ve had are pretty blah, I’ve had food come out cold, and I’ve been pretty disappointed in many aspects. Most recently I ordered the fresh fruit and granola crepes with yogurt. First of all they need to amend the menu, it’s not plural, it’s «crêpe» or at least that’s what I received. I received a darling little crêpe that was filled with nothing but cantaloupe chopped up into tiny pieces and 2 surprising grapes inside the crêpe. Garnishing the crêpe was a dollop of yogurt, a few paper thin slices of banana and possibly the total of 1 strawberry chopped up. Off to the side were a few of those teeny tiny canned blueberries… and this is June folks, blueberries are plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Oh, I forgot to mention I did receive a granule or two of granola sprinkled on top — almost lost them in the melon though! The worst thing about the meal is that it is accompanied by a side of awful cooked apples in a horrible and sweet gel of some sort. By the way, I’m not saying this is the worst experience I’ve had here, once the«crêpe» was filled with honeydew melon and nothing more — that was beyond bad. There is a great breakfast restaurant in another city(a small chain) that does a similar meal with 2 very full crepes with a multitude of different fruits, an entire ramiken of granola AND they give you a large freshly baked muffin — all for the price of The Delectable Egg’s poor attempt at this meal.

Great breakfast selection. Several gluten-free options for toast, pancakes, waffles & breakfast potatoes(their hash browns aren’t) They offer a flavored coffee in addition to the normal regular and decaf. The flavor of the day was hazelnut. It was fine but I like dark roasts and this was definitely on the light end of the spectrum. Our waitress was very polite and took our drink requests. Because there are so many good choices we had to ask her to come back a few times. She did a great job of bringing a coffee pot for our table(why can’t all restaurants do this? so much nicer to pour a 2nd/3rd cup than waiting forever!) I settled on the stacked racheros breakfast(I’ve had it before and enjoyed it) with breakfast potatoes. It arrived and looked super delicious. It is a combination of grilled tortillas, green chiles scrambled eggs, cheese, chipotle sauce, avocado, tomatoes, scallions and sour cream. Wowza! The green chiles and chipotle definitely have some spice and the potatoes helped temper that. This is definitely big enough to share(I didn’t though :-) and very good. Will have to go back for their other breakfast and lunch options.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and the food is good to great. I have never enjoyed the service, but have taken my time with deciding what to post as a review, due to my love of the food when I want some delicious breakfast but do not want to cook, but at the same time conveying the need for better service. Today an event occurred that made me realize just how to word it: I was starving near lunch time and decided that I could really use a breakfast burrito. The Delectable Egg is near my workplace, but I also did not want to go there and wait for the food to be cooked and decided to order take out. The phone call was weird. I was not asked my name or number(a common practice in take out) nor was I given the options usually associated with the breakfast burrito(hash-browns or potatoes, which salsa I wanted, any extras). Before I could ask, the lady said good bye and hung up. I was not given an amount of time it would be either. I went to the restaurant about 15 minutes later, and my food was ready. I asked about the salsa put on my burrito and the lady rudely told me that only regular salsa is put on the burrito unless stated in the order. I asked if options were usually given when ordering, and she stated yes. I told her I was not and she stated she could give me a side of the salsa I wanted. I was impressed(this would have been good customer service and my review would have been written very different), so I said yes. She then said it would be a $ 2 charge. What? I asked if I would have been charged that additional cost if I had been given the options when I order, and she stated no. This is POOR customer service. I understand that I could have asked about the options, but I was not given the chance while on the phone. Just poor. The food is good, but when you add on the service that you will probably get, the food goes down to decent and it is worth the drive to anywhere else to get breakfast food. P. S. For those of you stating ‘did you not see the options listed on the menu?’ They are not listed online. Hence why I was going to ask during the phone call.

Every chance I get, I shout it from the rooftops, I LOVEBRUNCH! I’m a sucker for a good Benedict, and Delectable Egg serves up just that! Bf and I came here on New Years Day and found it surprisingly low-key and perfect for what we were looking for…1) someplace reasonably priced 2) breakfast food! Although we came in around 1pm, it was relatively packed. We were promptly seated, and helped quickly. Let me say, the California Benedict was to.die.for. wow! perfect amounts of peppers, onions and mushrooms were added for a delicious flavor! My boyfriend enjoyed his simple breakfast of french toast and eggs as well. Overall, YUM and will return :)
