Pretty good quick in and out place. But wasn’t a big fan of how the service worked. Went in for insoles for my boots which ran a bit big, they were being sold for 4.99 and the guy working there cut the size around the insoles(which could have been done at home by myself, the insoles have marking for sizes and all you need is scissors) and that jacked the price up to 10 $. I didn’t ask for him to cut it up or anything he just did it.

They are fast, cheap and great quality. Think Duman’s except for shoes. This is where all of the 17th St. lawyers go, but you would never know it to look at the place

I also LOVE the Denver Cobbler! I’ve worked in the building right across the street for more than three years, but had never been in the shop. …until this week! A strap broke on my favorite Kate Spade handbag, so I popped in just to see if he could repair it; assuming that I’d leave it and pick it up several days later. Well, Simmon(pronounced«Simon») whom I assume is the owner, took the bag and repaired the strap right then and there! And it was only five bucks!(to be fair, it’s a fabric bag, not leather). Yes, the shop is kind of dated(and a teensy bit dusty) but the architecture of the celing(see photos) which is a leftover from the space’s early days as part of the attached parking garage, are very cool. I will definitely be using the Denver Cobbler again!

I LOVE the Denver Cobbler, but I love them even more after today. I needed an emergency shoe repair on my heels that I wore to work. The tip had completely come off the heel and the heel itself was starting to split. He fixed my BOTH my shoes right then and there(the tip on the other shoe was starting to wear down). He was done in less than 10 mins, and he even fixed the chips in the heel to boot! Only $ 12 for the entire repair. The Denver Cobbler is always fast with their repairs and their prices are so reasonable. Plus, it’s fun to go into his shop — it’s like stepping back in time.

I’m in love with the fact that a place like this still exists. On the outskirts of what you would call downtown, there’s a crappy looking building on Glenarm. «Denver Cobbler.» Looking at my shoes, I needed new laces, badly. Mine had broken and been retied multiple times. I decided to head into this place to get some new ones, and I’m glad I did. This place has somehow withstood the test of time. It’s obviously been here a while. The man working here hardly spoke any English, but he helped me find the right laces for my boots right away, and at a very good price($ 4). This place is dimly lit, smells like shoe polish and adhesive, and is just the right amount of dirty. I wish I had fancier shoes that I needed fixed more often, because this is where I’d go. Check out this whole building, including the parking garage. It’s just got this amazing«Old Tyme» feeling to it.
