This place is great. All volunteers who are super friendly and helpful. Good prices plus it’s for charity. Will be buying my tree from them every year.

You must support this organization! Not only do they provide Christmas trees at a reasonable price but all there sales goes to supporting youth programs. This amazing group of volunteers spend every Christmas season selling Christmas trees so they provide support for there organization. They have been doing this for 35 years. It’s truly amazing. They also have a very thoughtful Santa waiting to talk to you little ones. Super great! Please go here.

These trees were very nice and priced very low compared to most trees we looked at this year including grocery stores and online :) We were greeted and helped by John and another… they were both kind cheerful and helpful… there were six different species of evergreens and it was hard to choose because even the smaller ones looked soo nice !!! We finally decided on a 7 ft white pine and it smells amazing :) it was priced at $ 44 These kind people are volunteers and the money goes to help children even scholarships… we will definately return next year if we are in town.

So happy we found this lot! What a great organization. Tree funds help support over 35 youth and community projects in the south Denver area! And it’s our first tree as we just got married. We got a White Pine!

Great price, selection, helpful and happy staff and all for a good cause. I just can’t imagine a better experience besides chopping down your own. A nice plus was Santa was there. I got a 7 foot Douglass fir with a $ 2 water funnel for $ 59, including tax. Only con was it is a cash or check only payment format.

We picked up a beautiful 7+ ft noble fir for $ 58. It smells amazing and is fresh. Prices were nearly half what we saw at other places, thanks to the fact that it is run by a group of friendly volunteers who are raising money for a variety of projects that benefit kids, including scholarships. What an amazing cause! It’s a win win — get a great tree(easily beats the $ 90 one I got last year) and contribute to a scholarship fund! I will go back to this lot year after year now that I finally found a good place in Denver.

The Optimist Creed reads as follows: Promise yourself… To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. These guys live up to the positive hype! Not only do they do many nice things for public schools in Denver, including hosting Super Citizen assemblies and providing scholarships, but they are also some of the nicest and most helpful people around! You’ll feel the good vibes when you buy your tree and you’ll also be supporting a great group of people doing good for others. What is more Christmas-y than that? As others have mentioned, it’s a cash/check only format. Bring some with or stop by one of the nearby ATMs(Chase or in Walmart).

I found a coupon for $ 40 off online for another tree lot. At first I thought«great!». Then I thought it sounded too good to be true. When I checked the other lot’s reviews there were nothing but reports of being ripped off. The last thing I want is a Christmas tree that makes me feel angry. So I searched for the best lot instead of the best deal and I found both. The Optimists tree lot was my ideal Christmas tree buying experience. The only way it gets better is if you go to the woods and cut the tree yourself. The staff(all volunteer) were helpful but also gave us the space to wander round and round until we found our tree. You can spend over a hundred dollars if you’re so inclined or, if you’re like us, you can spend fifty and leave with a six foot tree and a stand that should last forever. Oh, and they had a fantastic selection of trees when we went ten days before Christmas. Do yourself a favor and get your tree from the Optimists, support a good cause and leave filed with Christmas joy. You won’t regret it.

Great trees at good prices, a great, knowledgeable, patient, easygoing group of guys and some of the money goes to great causes(kids!). There’s nothing more to ask to add to your own Merry Christmas.

We purchased a beautiful, six foot Canaan Fir at their Xmas tree lot in the old Kmart plaza on the corner of Evans and Monaco for $ 50. The gentlemen volunteering there were friendly and helpful and it feels good to know that the profits go to help children. Make sure to bring cash or a check as they don’t accept credit cards.

Bought our first married Christmas tree from the Optimists tree lot on South Monaco. Great service by volunteer men working to raise money. Wreaths and boughs for sale also.

Christmas trees. Excellent trees. And very helpful people. After a decade of buying trees from these guys, they are still the best. All the money goes to help children. P. S. Cash or check only.

Volunteers from The Optimist Club of Monaco South operate a Christmas Tree stand at the south east corner of Evans and Colorado Blvd. For thirty years they have been selling beautiful Christmas Trees at low prices to benefit over 65 community youth projects. Over eighty percent of the money raised goes directly to the kids! The rest is used for the club’s administrative expenses. Not only are the trees beautiful — they are priced very reasonably. We bought a beautiful, fresh spruce tree for only $ 55! The volunteers are friendly, helpful and down-right fun to talk to. This is the second time we have bought our tree from the Optimist guys — I plan on going back every year.
