The Seasons of Cherry Creek

Since my last review was removed due to «privacy concerns» or possible something else, not sure but… This place deserves people to think twice. Watch out for «LM» or «E» both females. I will rewrite leaving out specific names.

Like others, I have read the reviews below and agree with most. This complex is not well maintained, and I absolutely recommend renting elsewhere. I will not be renewing my lease here due to utter dissatisfaction with the quality of the building. I live in the A building, and in just 9 months my apartment flooded three separate times, as well as the stairwell, lobby, and hallways. While the community manager was friendly in fixing the problem, many of the staff members in the leasing office were blatantly rude and said they «couldn’t control the weather.» True, and I understand it’s an «older» building that was built in the 70s, but you can control rent abatement for the completely unacceptable reality that the apartment floods every time there is severe weather, and now my furniture has been damaged as a result. For a «luxury» building, I shouldn’t have to be concerned that my apartment will take on water whenever we have a storm. Moreover, my balcony, which I of course pay extra money for, is unusable whenever there is even the slightest bit of rain due to improper drainage. The flooding problem also was NOT resolved in a timely manner, as the source of the problem was allegedly the poorly poured concrete on my balcony, and the third party contractor did not respond to the management’s requests to come and redo it for over 2 weeks. Again, this shouldn’t have been my problem, yet somehow it was. I have many other complaints, such as the inadequate insulation between apartments, but to sum it up– save yourself the overpriced amount & rent somewhere else. And a word to the wise– the positive reviews are mostly from people who do not even live here…

I’ve lived at The Seasons for over four years and love it here. I know some people complain when everything isn’t perfect all the time in their lives, but I found the management exceptionally friendly, responsive and professional. Individual problems get remedied on a timely basis, and the maintenance staff are all courteous and efficient. As with any large apartment complex, occasionally residents are asked for their patience when individual buildings/​apartment units must be serviced or upgraded, but there’s always advance notice and all reasonable efforts are made to minimize the inconvenience. The grounds are immaculate, social events and amenities plentiful (24 hour concierge staff that helps with everything!) and the location next to the Cherry Creek Mall and the Cherry Creek Bike Path is second to none in the area! I highly recommend The Seasons as an excellent «quality of life» place to live!

I don’t live here but I work for someone who does. He has a small at-​home office set up in his apartment, which is fairly spacious although not particularly well updated. For the amount that rent is here I personally would expect things like a gas stove and nice countertops/​floors in the kitchen/​bathrooms. However, I have only been in one of the older buildings, I’d hope the newer one is nicer.
Sometimes I get assigned fun tasks like doing laundry or submitting maintenance requests. The laundry room here has a good amount of machines until you remember that one laundry room is supposed to serve the entire building. The machines always smell disgusting and mildewy because no one ever leaves them open. The entire room smells like moldy clothes. They provide laundry carts but you’ll be lucky to find one because residents constantly steal them.
Maintenance seems to be pretty responsive and they’ve always been friendly. The front office seems to be less competent. It’s hard to get them to pick up the phone. Once we got a delivery of printer paper and they thought it was theirs (despite the apartment # and name listed) and took it. We finally figured out what happened and they agreed to reimburse us for the order. Then when we got a new delivery, they signed for it again and never told us it arrived. If we hadn’t learned this info from Office Depot and called down to the office, I truly wonder if they would’ve taken the paper twice in a row.
I agree with a recent reviewer about the demographics of this place– mostly older, and many of residents I’ve encountered have not been friendly at all, although there have definitely been exceptions to this. But for the most part, smile at someone here when you pass them in the hall and they’ll look at you like you just threatened the lives of their entire family. Definitely a Cherry Creek North crowd. But, if maintaining a certain image is very important to you, you may like it here. Personally it reminds me of being back in private school.
You can find better places in this price range.

Update: The staff members who I found particularly unhelpful no longer work at the front desk and a lot of repairs are underway to improve the overall condition of the buildings and amenities. That said, what you pay is ridiculous for what you actually get and I have moved out of the Seasons.
Dear Seasons of Cherry Creek:
You and I have a problem– see, your staff seems to think it’s their job to make my life more difficult and I think their job is to make my life easier. If you’d asked me a week ago if I liked living here, I’d say yes but when I walked out this morning to realize I’d accidentally left my car in the unloading bay (probably because I was ferrying groceries upstairs due to a lack of carts then rushing to get my clothes out of the washing machines so my fellow residents could use the overcrowded laundry facilities) and saw a hot pink sticker with the handwritten note that you have my license plate number and WILL tow, I realized this is the third incident in the five months I’ve lived here where your staff has really wrecked my day. And three is far too many.
Let me tell you about the first, I moved into building B at the beginning of April and the single covered spot available was the very last spot on the very top floor before outside parking began. My leasing agent advised me to check in with the concierge and move to a better spot when one became available in the very full parking garage. When I went to do so, I was lectured by the concierge that such moves messed up their accountant and were not acceptable and was then told that I needed to tour the parking garage and make sure my new spot would be okay because I wouldn’t be allowed to switch again. Having done so, I let him know which one I wanted and then received a week of phone calls because he was so busy scolding me about inconveniencing the accountant, he didn’t bother listening to what I wanted and had me down for two spots. When I was finally able to get in touch with him, he reprimanded me again for not getting in touch sooner even though I had called the desk and received no answer and even left several voice messages. If wanted to be scolded, I’d move in with my mother.
The next incident occurred when my fire alarm batteries failed at 2 am on a Saturday. I ignored the ear-​splitting beeps at 5 minute intervals as best I could until the morning when I called the concierge and was told that it was a battery issue and couldn’t be fixed until Monday. I thanked him and hung up. I then called back 10 minutes later because the random beeps were completely intolerable and could be heard up and down the whole hallway and was told I should disconnect it from the ceiling. I’m 5’5 and can’t reach, plus that’s obviously not a safe solution. I called back 4 times for help and got no answer and my voicemail wasn’t returned. I finally ended up begging a friend to come over and unhook it for me. If I wanted to beg my tall friends to come over and fix stuff for me, I would buy my own place.
Once upon a time (I used to live here a couple of years ago and loved it so much I moved back), the concierges memorized everyone’s information and could greet any guest and most of the pets by name. Now they don’t bother to greet the guests at all when passing in the hallways, lobbies, etc. Reality check: the Seasons will very soon not be the only luxury apartment building in Cherry Creek. The pool isn’t new anymore, the gym isn’t new anymore, the Building C green renovation isn’t new anymore and we’re all sick of everything being broken constantly (multiple elevator cars, the toilets in the gym, the coffee machine, the card readers in the laundry room, the starters on 3 of the 4 grills, the heaters in the hot tub etc. etc. etc.); it’s time for you guys to get back to what you do best: service.

This place needs to get their «stuff» together for as much as residents pay. The air conditioning is constantly «being repaired» which means that it is either blowing hot air, or no air at all. When it is 90 degrees inside my home, I get nothing but attitude by the female office worker when I walk to the leasing office to put in a maintenance request. Of course, the maintenance staff leaves around 4 p.m. and this is not considered an emergency so I have been told twice that it will have to wait until the following day. The most recent time I was told someone was on call and would be at my place 10 – 15 minutes later. That was over an hour ago as I write this review with my front door open to the hallway with a fan blowing in what cool air there is out there… still waiting.
Concierge and office staff rarely answer the phone as well… l

After living here for 16 months, I would not recommend living at The Seasons. The amenities do not make up for the inconsiderate staff, the faulty fire alarms that went off over 10 times due to «errors» since I lived here — and those were only the ones I was home for, the endless renovations they continue to do only so they can raise already inflated rents. When it snows, the parking garage is not kept clear and is very slippery and unsafe. The «dog area» consistently smells like urine, especially in the warmer months. I agree with previous reviews stating they could care less about you and do not care if they inconvenience you and will still up the rent every chance they get. There are so many better options and neighborhoods.

THE WORST PLACE IVE LIVED.
Yes there are lots of «amenities» but everyone I guess forgot to inform be before moving in that they were going to begin brick work on the buildings. Originally it was supposed to last 1 month. Only 1 only of being woken up at 8 on your days off the the loudest and annoying grinding and carving noises. It made my dog bark everytime they were outside my windows, which that month was about once a week. Then I’d get notice about my dog barking and I would go and complain and tell them he was growling and barking at the people outside my window. Anyways this one month project that started in June, is STILL going on. As you all know, it’s OCTOBER. If I would have known that I would have had to listen to this everyday day of my time here I wouldn’t have ever moved in. The option they gave me to move was to terminate my lease for $ 2000. Point is, they could care less about you. And never inform residents of what’s going on or compensate for mistakes made by them. Like a project that should take 1 month now taking 4. Apparently my nice apartment and my $ 1800 rent means loud construction and a bitchy staff.

I don’t live here but I sure wish I did. I visited to hang at the pool with my girlfriend. The facility s beautiful and well kept and seemingly friendly and approachable when I have been in the main building.
I loooove the outdoor grills and right by the pool.

The amount of maintenance and remodel work at the Seasons has the left the once nice quiet place to live, like a construction site. The noise is constant, and especially coming from the brick pointing project that is in its 5^th, 6^th, 7^th week? Other things affected is the security of the building as so many of the in and out workman have access keys.(the cash machine was recently stolen from the lobby) Also, the on street parking is occupied all day long by work trucks, etc. Another major drawback.
So if you are thinking of moving here, check on the property work schedule first. Minus the absolute overload of work being done on the place and all that comes with it, the place has a ton of great qualities!

My girlfriend and I moved to the Seasons a month ago. In the first month more issues have occurred in this «luxury» living establishment than anywhere I have lived previously.
The sales agent neglected to tell us that most of our floor would start to be renovated after we moved in. The hallways are a constant mess, the noise can be unbearable at times, and security is non-​existent due to the revolving door of workers. On top of that they are repointing all of the brick work on the building, which is a nuisance.
The building itself, Building A, is constantly filthy. There is trash through out the foyer, the elevators, and the hallways. I will admit that the cleaning staff works hard and is here every morning, but with over a 1,000 tenants a once a day cleaning in a «luxury» living space is not adequate.
The elevators are constantly breaking down to the point that we have been stuck on them once and can wait for over 5 minutes at other times.
For the price you pay, there is definitely a premium due to the sale of «luxury,» you would be better off renting elsewhere or buying a home if you know Denver is your longtime home.
Long story short, the Seasons has a very long way to go to be «luxury» and live up to the price and expectations they set for themselves.

This is literally the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. And I’m not one to be picky. My rent was just outrageous for the quality of living at this place. I was paying $ 1,500 to live in a 500sq foot studio apartment. They claim to charge that rate because of the location and amenities.
For $ 1,500 per month, I was paying to deal with broken elevators at least once a week, broken AC during the summer and broken heat during the winter. Most of the outlets in my apartment didn’t work. The fire alarm randomly went off all the time and to top it off, there were several occasions when I had no hot water.
It was especially joyful to have construction going on all the time. The loud drills and radio blasting during the day… plus a random fire alarm going off, felt just like a soothing blanket of calm over my soul.
The leasing office is horrendous, with the exception of a few people. I filed a formal complaint for the quality of living and the community manager was incredibly rude. Also, if you decide to cut your lease, they charge you $ 1,000.
So, if you’re trying to drain your bank account to experience a blood curdling fire alarm at 5am on a Monday, followed by a nice cold shower right before work… live here.
Otherwise, I’d say skip it.

I highly recommend The Seasons of Cherry Creek!
I’ve lived in Manhattan — both luxury doorman and non-​doorman buildings, and the prices here don’t compare. Coming from that, I feel like I’m getting a great deal on a nice apartment and all of the amenities they have to offer.
I was given corporate housing in the Seasons, and it made the transition to the area very easy. I like it so much that I’m moving to another apartment at the Seasons for my permanent housing solution.
The complex is well located; near grocery stores, shops & restaurants in a safe area. I’ve walked home at all different hours of the day and night and never felt worried.
The amenities are nice and well kept; the gym is more than adequate for people who want to do cardio or use weights. And it’s much better than dealing with zoos like the nearby 24 hour fitness. They also have a great class lineup. The pool, grill, and firepit are also very nice pluses to enjoy with friends. I’ve come with my son on the weekends who enjoys walking around the pool on shallow end. Plus it’s nice to sit out and relax near the pool with some wine on the evenings.
One of the things that sets this complex apart are the activities that they schedule for the community — new resident wine & cheese night, food trucks in the courtyard, trunk shows, hikes, game tickets, etc. I haven’t experienced a more active apartment community.
The only cons that I experienced were a smoking neighbor, but if that’s a concern, they have a 100% non smoking building. Other than that, we’ve heard a couple of false fire alarms during the day, but a quick call down to the concierge desk solved that problem.
Finally, I can’t say enough about the staff. Sysanga is absolutely great to work with. She’s very friendly and responds promptly to all of our questions and concerns. She put us in an apartment that is perfect for us. The concierge staff has also been very helpful. They’ve helped book cars and given suggestions to me and my husband. Not to mention the little toy car that Jay gave my son on the first day that he met him. It was a nice little touch that won’t be forgotten. No, it’s not a 24 doorman building like New York, where there is a concierge and doorman at every building. So sometimes the concierge here is responding to other requests or walking the grounds. But if you shoot them en email, they’ll respond in a timely manner.
Another review also mentioned that they received poor service due to their minority status. I’m also of minority status, and I’ve seen residents and staff here that are from a diverse set of ethnic backgrounds. I’ve never been treated poorly by anyone. And sometimes my kid acts up and I’m THAT person that people would love to hate.
Overall, I’m happy at The Seasons and everyone here has made us feel very welcome at our new home.

This is specifically about building C (the new, green building).
Pros:
Apartments are very quiet — you never hear your neighbors
Apartment is very green — utility bills are very small
Floor, kitchens are very nice
Nice gym, community center, pool
Very good location near the mall and Cherry Creek North
Cons:
The monthly rent is absurd. They raised it over $ 200 this year now that the pool is in (albeit 4 months late). We are buying a house, and our $ 400,000 mortgage for a 2,300 sf home in Denver is cheaper than the 945 sf apartment we have
The pool is a college fraternity party on weekends. It’s loud, and you can’t get a seat past noon, not sure you even want to with the crowd that’s there.
Good luck having a hot shower on Sunday night, the boilers never work then
The leasing office staff thinks they work at the Ritz Carlton the way they walk around with their noses up so high
In summary, if you love spending New York City prices for an apartment in Denver, then check this place out. But I’d recommend being sensible. You can get an apartment 85% as nice, but for 50% of the cost. I recommend going that route.

For the amount of money I foolishly spend here every month one would assume I would be able to sleep past 6am… ever. I believe they purchased their fire alarm system from a big lots going out of business sale, it wakes you up at 6 am EVERY day. Once this place does torch its going to be a classic case of boy who cried wolf. Save your money go to wash park its farther away from Aurora. On a positive note you will love the wine soaked elderly residents of building A

This isn’t a review of any experience living here, but rather the management during what was meant to be a tour of the facilities.
I came to view the property with my girlfriend. As a luxury community close to Pura Vida and Cherry Creek shopping, not far from her office, it appeared to have the amenities she was looking for. Unfortunately, the people in the leasing office thought otherwise. After a 30 minute wait in the office, we were asked to come back after another 30 minutes, making an appointment with a woman who would help us at 3:00pm, as all leasing associates were «busy» helping other people (one was actually on a phone call, as opposed to meeting with a client). We came back 30 minutes later, and waited another 30 minutes. During the second 30 minute wait, one leasing associate helped an elderly Caucasian couple the moment they came in, and we witnessed others get immediate care, as we waited with zero attention given to us.
A man with black-​rimmed Prada glasses came to us and stated the woman we had an appointment with would be another hour, and he refused to show us the property, even though he and another leasing professional were unoccupied. He stated that we could either continue waiting until she was done (which he anticipated would be «at least another hour»), or we could view their website to see if the prices of their apartments were «affordable» for us, and showed us the door. We left with no intention on ever returning.
Considering our respective professions (I am an executive management consultant, she is a med student currently working in the insurance industry), and the fact that nothing in our demeanor nor mode of transport (a late-​model Mercedes Benz SUV) would impress an inability to afford the accommodations at Seasons of Cherry Creek, the actions that Red Peak Properties professions took constitute a possible violation of the Fair Housing Act; their actions clearly indicated they had no intention of showing us the property.
I would not recommend this property (or any Red Peak-​owned property) to any professional minorities looking for luxury rental accommodations, as their biases during our initial (and final) visit were clear by their actions.

While it is understandable that rents are increasing on apartments nationwide, The Seasons is taking one of the most objectionable, aggressive, arm-​twisting approaches to it that I have ever seen.
Not only are they unwilling to sign 12-​month leases, and jamming current long-​term tenants with massive rent increases, but they refuse to even inform tenants about future rent increases. Lastly, they are insisting on electronic on-​line rent payments and being rather predatory about it.
If The Season’s intent is to have existing tenants move out so that unknown new tenants can replace them at sky-​high, yet to be revealed rental rates, then they are going to get what they bargained for.
What a joke.

I can try to appreciate the employee comment/​reply to my post previously… the only problem is that she has the same name as one of the people I spoke to about my experiences, in person, while a resident. I guess when there are enough complaints, mine in particular doesn’t stand out…
