The Wine Loft has a great wine selection– and the waitstaff is very nice. They even accommodated some picky requests from our group of women. Will definitely be back with more friends!

It’s called The WINE Loft and they were OUT of Sauvignon Blanc at 7:00 on a Saturday night. I was with a party of about 10 people and we were among the only people there. WHAT? I then ordered a martini and was smirked at when I asked about the vodkas they carried(only two choices available). I opted for beer. Bottled. Because they don’t have anything on tap. Husband returned for a work function and tried to order three different beers directly off of the menu before choosing one that was actually available. I suspect that The Wine Loft is not long for this world…

This is my new hang out! Awesome wines and awesome service! Matt and Darren were great, knowledgable and friendly. And the ambiance was amazing. I’m definitely bringing all my friends here.

Came here for a drink before dinner with my family — my Mom was totally into it, not really Dad’s scene but he still had fun. We were thinking about trying dinner here but with two vegans along the menu didn’t really fit our needs… But the wine sure did! The staff was busy setting up a party and so we got the privacy to have great conversation just like we wanted. I will definitely be back for the HH specials too — they were stacked with options, which of course I cannot remember as it was a while ago when I went there. Overall a great spot that is a little off the beaten path so you can find parking and get immediate service even on Saturday night!

The Wine Loft is brought to you by the letter«s.» S for swanky. S for sexy. S for serious about their wine. Nick brought me here upon my request recently as I wanted a cheese plate and in my experience very few places make a cheese plate as well as a wine bar. You know, perfect pairings and all that jazz. And I have to say The Wine Loft didn’t disappoint in the cheese plate department. For $ 15 you get a selection of four cheeses(sadly neither our server, nor the menu told us what any of the cheeses were and while I could figure some of them out — brie, blue, goat — I have no idea who was making them), garlic, almonds, fruit, and bread. All of the cheeses ranged from basic good to delightfully good to I will cut you if you try to take any more of my share of that cheese good. We also ordered a spinach salad(which was warm and slightly overdressed for my liking, but Nick enjoyed it quite a bit) and a flatbread that was topped with chorizo and was quite enjoyable. It was a quite night in The Wine Loft, but I could definitely see this being a great place for pre-night-on-the-town drink/snack or an after-show drink/snack. I would come back for either of those reasons. Or if I happen to be craving a cheese plate again.

Relaxed atmosphere with a live band that really enjoys making music. Decently varied wine selection by the glass.

Attended a private Junior League gala at The Wine Loft this weekend. The space comfortably held the over 150 guests. This trendy cosmopolitan venue has a nice ambiance and the staff was very accommodating. There was a special VIP wine tasting sponsored by SIP Fine Wine & Spirits in a smaller more intimate room upstairs. Food was catered for that event and the 2008 Magness, Pinot Noir was outstanding. The Wine Loft was serving food off the menu, but we did not order anything, so I can not comment on their food. I will say the wine selection is comprehensive and represents a nice cross section of growing regions with over 40 wines by the glass and 150 by the bottle. I really enjoyed a Spanish red called Bodegas Portia Prima, Tempranillo Parking is limited on the street, there is no Valet service, and there are several private lots about a block away that charge $ 10 — $ 12.

2012 Review #32: Probably this is the only chain in the world that I can imagine really wanting to go to on a somewhat regular basis. For being a chain they do a good job of embracing the existing space and making the restaurant feel not so cookie-cutter like. We came here for a date, and like others have said, this is a really great place to come for a date. Hard to resist another relatively attractive person, let alone someone you actually like, when drinking happy hour wine and squinting to see across the bar. I don’t really like the lounge-style seating, simply because it forces you to either sit about 10 feet from each other, or sit awkwardly next to one another. I also just don’t really like feeling as though I’m eating dinner while sitting in a La-Z-Boy. The happy hour here is an awesome deal. All wines by the glass under $ 10 are $ 5, those regularly $ 11 – 15 are $ 10, and those $ 16 – 20 are $ 15. Specialty cocktails are $ 8 and house cocktails are $ 4. They also have $ 5 sangria/$ 15 sangria pitchers. There are some snacky items to eat like potato skins, flatbreads and cheese boards. We got a couple items to eat and they were fine but I honestly don’t remember much about them. Our waitress was really kind and walked us through the best deals on wines by the glass. She also listened to our preferences and made some nice suggestions, which helped us get a better idea of what we do and don’t like in wine. Arguably the best part of the date, for my husband anyway, was once I had had a couple of glasses and was in a good haze, he started talking about his want(«need») for a new laptop. Well, I was just buzzed and happy and relaxed enough to say«why not?» and we ended our date night at the Apple store. So, if you want to ask for something, this is probably a good place to go.

Wow! This place is amazing. Great wine and great food — what else could you ask for? Staff was also exceptional — very knowledgable and were able to reccommend something for my tastes. I am a novice wine-drinker, and they helped me choose a great wine and learn something about it as well! Food was DELICIOUS. I had a margerita flatbread and the crimini mushroom bites. Excellent flavors and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very cool. This would be a good place for drinks/happy hour and also for large group events. I am going to suggest that my company has their holiday party here — would be the perfect setting!

Normally I don’t dig chains but loved the comfy couches and this place had one of the better wine lists out of all of the wine bars we checked out in Denver. Also great prices on the happy hour wine pours. We also ordered the goat cheese and fig flatbread which was a delicious accompaniment to our wine. Service was attentive. This would be a great place to come with a group of friends after work or for a romantic night out. This place can pretty much accommodate it all.

This place is ALMOST LoDO proof. The occasional peanut gallery night is pretty rare here. Otherwise, I’d definitely say that this is a great place for entertaining, being entertained, and getting over yourself at the same time. It’s just really relaxed. Service — 1 star(1) I’ve never had to wait long for a drink, even on a busy night, and the food is surprisingly fast. The bartenders and servers are usually super chill, even on busy nights. Food — 1 star(2) Kind of a Western European approach to food — more emphasis on flavors than portions. That being said, the flavors are pretty sexy. I’ve had plenty of friends here for different occasions and they always wanted more. It’s kind of one of those places where you can have fun with food and wine without being pretentious. Knowledgeable staff — 1 star(3) What I LOVE about this place is that they’re pretty moron friendly. I’m(slowly) developing a palate, but definitely figuring out my favorite varietals. I’d definitely say that this is a great middle ground for novice wine lovers and the Sideways crowds. Price — 1 star(4) Their variety speaks highly of them. Any time I’ve been here, they’ve had wine glasses of all different prices, cocktails, and beers. Trust me — worst case scenario, get their Sangria pitchers. I think it’s like $ 14 and split it with a friend. My friend and — almost didn’t finish it! Not bad for 7 bucks a piece. Clientele — Minus half a star(3.5) One of my favorite aspects of this place is that it’s pretty universal. You can go here for dates, after games, birthday parties, happy hour, etc. That bad side of this is that you almost never know what you’re walking into — a huge party night where everybody’s mingling or a super chill night where everybody’s in groups. Music — Star(4.5) They have original, experimental DJs fairly often. Otherwise, their normal music is pretty good too. I’ve Shazamed SO many songs from this place. Then, I’ve turned around and downloaded them just to play on the way home. They have excellent taste in music.

I just held my 30th birthday party there and I was super impressed!!! They were incredibly attentive and accommodating from the initial call to make the reservation all the way through the event itself. They reserved a whole corner area off on the first floor to accommodate 25 – 30 people. They allowed us to bring in homemade cupcakes to serve(some places throw a fit at this or charge to slice a cake and provide plates) and set up a nice buffet table for us for the food and to decorate with our own floral arrangements and candles. The server, Brandon, was incredibly attentive and had no issues keeping separate tabs for all the guests — and no one had any billings issues at the end of the night, very rare in a large group setting like that!!! The food is also amazing, I ordered a couple of light bites from their ala carte party menu, and they were delicious(the Brie canapés and prosciutto wrapped figs). I would highly recommend The Wine Loft as a venue for your next event or special occasion! (I have also attended an event at the DTC location and received equally great customer service there as well.)

I hate the phrase«It’s a chain but…(I liked, loved, didn’t mind it, hated it, etc.)» Who cares if it’s a chain? If it’s good, it’s good — end of story. That said… I like The Wine Loft! Inside the cavernous interior they use tall curtains and mini-living room set ups instead of traditional tables. The space is cozy but spacious at the same time. It’s an intimate feeling, perfect for a date. Happy Hour had great pricing. The cheese plate was huge with lots of variety in cheeses, breads and other tiny tasty treats to go with the cheeses. I love a good cheese plate! The wines we had were good, husband picked them out, so I don’t even know what I was drinking. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. The Wine Loft is on my list of go-to happy hours when hubby and I are feeling romantical.

Post-birthday dinner date we made our way over to the Wine Loft. And I’m telling you people. If you’re looking to seal the deal(take that as you will) with whomever you’re seeing, take him or her here first. Alcohol + dim lighting + suave soundtrack + plush LOVEseats = lovers retreat to Cloud 9 within city limits. Even after dating The Dude for almost two years, going to the Wine Loft with him rekindles the«crush» on him and makes me feel as giddy as I did after two months. And based on the body language and behavior of the other couples(or… couples to be??) around us, it seems to have that effect on a lot of people.

Good… very good. It’s so sexy, sexy should be spelled with two ss’s instead of an x. It’s hot. Great for stepping out with your girls for a night out on the town. I felt like my skirt wasn’t quite short enough, and it was quite short. The dim lights make you want to make out with someone. So, 2 thumbs up for date night… maybe not a blind date, but a 2nd date for sure. The wine selection… I’ve actually seen better, but for the prices it’s aiight. Full bar so don’t get hung up on the wines… but it is called the wine loft… leading one to believe their might be a «fuller and more robust» wine list ;) But, if you are looking for someplace to show somone you have a sexier, hipper side to you — this is it — end of story.

The Wine Loft’s «Brie en Croute» was listed by Denver Magazine as one of the top 100 must eats in the city, so I gave it a shot: Rating: 5.5(out of 10) Price: $ 10 The Skinny: My feeling is that if you include a national chain on this list(which Wine Loft is), the must-eat there better be a total knockout. It better be leaps and bounds over anything local. So walking through the door, I had high expectations. As an avid maker of Brie en Croute for years and years, I was excited to try someone else’s take on it. Maybe they could put a twist on it that would reinvent it for me. Once the plate arrived, I noticed the balsamic glaze, the sprinkle of walnuts, and the other elements on the plate — it looked like things were going in the right direc… Wait… Where the hell was the puff pastry? Where was that perfectly light and flaky shell? Where was the buttery goodness wrapping the whole thing up? WHEREDAMMIT? In its place was an imposter. An inferior outside in taste, texture, and plain ol’ tradition. It was like an anchor to the dish. No matter how good the brie and outside components were, no matter how funny the phallic shape of the pastry, the plate could not be saved I’ve got a picture of it in its phallic glory on the blog on my profile jko

I was debating between three or four stars for this place since it’s really not my sort of hang, but I guess I can’t hold that against them so I’ll give it four. I stopped in with the cousin this week pre-Nuggets game since she had a couple of free happy hour drink coupons. The ambience was very intimate and comfortable with big squishy couches and dim lighting. While we didn’t peruse the wine menu too closely, we did get a little more personal with the cocktail menu. I had a prosecco pear and then a white sangria. The cousin had a martini, extra dirty, and the red sangria. She looooved the martini… said it was just how she would have made one herself. My prosecco pear was tasty(I’m starting to love anything with a bit of St. Germaine) and the sangria was pretty underwhelming. But sangria is three bucks during happy hour, so whatever. We also ordered shrimp and blue cheese pastries as well as mushroom bruschetta. While I appreciate what they did with the pastries, blue cheese isn’t really my thing. The pastries did have a drizzle of honey on top which complimented the puff pastry nicely and was a welcoming contrast to the bitterness of the blue cheese. The mushroom bruschetta was melt-in-your-mouth tasty and I could eat it all day long. Probably the addition of lots of butter. The best part: our server used our coupons for the more spendy drinks so the bill came to $ 18 before tip! Not too shabby at all and cheaper than three beers at the Pepsi Center. All in all, I’d say I’d be back for happy hour, I’m just not in the area too often.

This is the best place ever! My husband and I love it. I just had an event there and everything was perfect! they made everything so special. The staff is so nice and are on top of it. The Manager Brian was great about getting back to us by phone or email, he made everything happen, he went above and beyond for us. The food is good, and they have an outstanding wine list. We go the the Wine loft all the time.

Happy Hour Specials: Mon– Fri 4−7pm: $ 3 Sangria, $ 4 Cocktails, $ 5 Glasses of Wine that are usually $ 11 and under, ½ off Signature Cocktails, $ 6-$ 10 plates of food. Tuesdays ½ off select bottles of wine. Wednesdays complimentary wine tastings from 5:30−7pm. Nice, clean establishment, GREAT signature cocktails including Artisan Martinis w/blue cheese stuffed olives, Prosecco Pear and the Gin Throwback. They also incorporate Leopold Bros. liquors — which is a bit shout out for the Denver based distillery. Attentive staff, Brian the GM is passionate about his drinks and his ever rotating wine list. I resent the comment of the previous Unilocaler that was unhappy that beer wasn’t offered under the happy hour deals. A wino myself I am hard pressed to find a happy hour that incorporates deals on wine.

Wine Loft is a swanky place to enjoy a nice glass of wine in an even nicer environment. If you are looking for a great place to take a date that offers a suitable locale for quiet conversation, Wine Loft will suffice wonderfully. There are comfortable couches and chairs set around dimly lit tables that offer an intimate social atmosphere… great for couples and small groups. The service is also outstanding. However, minus one star for price. We had two great classes of wine, and the total bill was about $ 25 dollars. Now granted I didn’t pick the wines so I didn’t see if these wines were on the high or low end of the price spectrum, but ideally the bill would be a bit more moderate. In summary, check out Wine Loft for a swanky social venue.
