Trainer Scott Personal Training

I started with Trainer Scott two years ago when I realized that straight cardio wasn’t cutting it. After 2 weeks of lifting weights I started to see results. I started coming here after finding Scott on the internet. I emailed him the day I signed up and asked if I could come in. He responded right away and said absolutely. From the first time I came in I felt so welcome by Scott and all of the people who work out here. I was so out of shape and uncomfortable working out in front of everyone but no one made me feel that way and Scott let me go at my own pace while still encouraging me and showing me proper form. I come all the time now, have met some awesome people, and look forward to my workouts. I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone!

I purchased a Groupon which brought me to Trainer Scott, I think it was $ 59 for a month.
Scott is great, he’s really enthusiastic and he knows how to empower and motivate people to work out as hard as they can. The classes are pretty small around 20 people and they are INTENSE, but in a good way where you want to go back. Each day is different and you can go at your own pace. I’m not an avid gym goer and I’m not really into fitness but there would be days where I would wonder where the heck the time went because the classes go by so fast (in a good way). I’m someone who needs guidance and help and someone to kick my butt into gear. I recommend Scott’s training to anyone looking to get into shape.

I needed motivation to stick with a workout routine and Scott and all the participants make this class so rewarding and addictive. It doesn’t matter where you are at physically, this class will work for you if you put the effort into it.
I’m over 40 and out of shape, and I can honestly say that I look forward to each class. Everyone is friendly and supportive. Any stress from my week is annihilated and I leave class feeling like a million bucks. What are you waiting for? Come do a class with us!

If you’re the type of person that gets bored at the gym and needs motivation, this is the place to go.
When I came to Scott’s class, I was really nervous because I hadn’t worked out in a long time. When I say I hadn’t worked out in a long time, I mean I completely lost my motivation months before I moved to Denver. I had been eating out twice as much and drinking twice as much due to a slew of good-​bye lunches and dinners.
I knew that when I got to Denver, I needed to find a boot camp to get my butt in gear. Scott’s looked just right and once a Groupon came along, I decided to just bite the bullet and do it. I’m so glad that I did.
His classes are intense but you feel great after and definitely want to come back. Everyone is really nice and supportive of each other and he constantly tells you to just do your best and not get down on yourself for feeling if you get tired.
In addition, it’s reasonably priced. I feel like boot camps usually cost an arm and a leg and you HAVE to come on the designated days. At Scott’s, he has a class every day except for Friday and Sunday and you can come as often as you want!

Started off great! Scott seemed like a good trainer, even if all he talked about was himself. Constantly. He has no problem reminding you that he is stronger in every way and is the best at everything. We switched from private training to small groups and it just went downhill from there. A client should never have to constantly ask «what’s next» while his trainer is texting and not paying attention. We ultimately left him because he is massively self-​absorbed and the workout experience wasn’t satisfactory any longer.
We want a trainer that knows his business (physiology, nutrition, etc) and actually has a plan for his clients.

Scott always provides a great workout. He is especially good with dealing with tight muscles and stretching. He works with men an women of all ages.

Started personal training with Scott in 2011 & then transitioned into group training in 2012. I needed to whip my AR a$$ back into good olé southern a$$ kickin’ shape & Scott got me back to as my grandmother used to say «you feel like a brick wall my dear». Scott keeps you hopping from one thing to next, your heart rate pumping, & before you know it you’ve muscled through an hour of intense training. Don’t even think about missing gym because Scott will be texting and/​or calling you telling you to get back to the gym.

I was nervous when I started the class because I hadn’t had a regular workout routine in a while before joining, but my fears were put to ease when I started. While I found the workouts difficult, they were not overwhelming and I noticed a lot of improvement in a short amount of time which was very gratifying. The variety of workouts kept me motivated; before joining Scott’s boot camp I could never work out regularly for more than a month because I’d lose interest.
My sister invited me to joining this boot camp with her. I’m very glad I listened to her! We ended up enjoying it so much that our brother decided to join as well. The other people in the class are great too. I found the environment very supportive, which just pushed me that much more to better myself.
I found the boot camp schedule very convenient. Since it’s offered at different times 5 days a week, I could easily show up a few times a week without having it interfere with the rest of my schedule.
I’d highly recommend Scott’s boot camp to anyone. Scott is a great trainer and the workouts and other people in the class are great!

It has been over three years since I started going to Scott’s gym. In that time, I have attended his personal training, group training, and boot camp classes. All these class styles offer many benefits; I have personally seen improvements in strength, endurance, and agility, but in all my time at the gym, the improvement I am most proud of is a change in attitude.
Four years ago, I would have never thought I would enjoy working out consistently, let alone join a group training class. At that time, I was occasionally going to a normal gym and sticking to basic exercises thinking that was enough to offset the sedentary lifestyle of a person working in the corporate world. A good friend convinced me to attend Scott’s boot camp one day and that was the day I realized that not only was I not pushing myself hard enough, but also I had been underestimating the value of working out and the benefits it could bring to my life.
The first day was tough and it made me realize just how out of shape I really was. Luckily, I found that the class was in itself the best support system. You meet all sorts of different people who all want to enjoy the workout and lead healthy lives. The positive atmosphere I felt starting that first day is one of the reasons I decided to stick around and luckily, with five boot camp classes offered each week, going after work is not a problem.
Through many push-​ups, pull-​ups, planks, towel drags, and burpees I have achieved more than I ever thought possible. I have made many friends at the gym who motivate me and challenge me, especially Scott, who has been with me every step of the way encouraging me through mental and physical plateaus. Now, I see these classes as an essential part of my day and even look forward to the «eight-​count body builder» birthday challenge (something you have to be there to enjoy).
I highly recommend going to the boot camp classes. It will change your life.

I have worked our with Scott for about 2 years now. I started out with the boot camp and eventually transitioned to group personal training. The thing I like the most about the training is how different each workout is. It is also very challenging. He keeps us motivated and I have a great workout every time. Highly recommend!

I have been attending Scott’s Bootcamp for just over a month now, it is a great workout and keeps you motivated to keep going back. Scott and everyone that attends classes are all awesome the joking and the overall atmosphere makes the hour seem to go by quickly and you get a great workout in. The routine constantly changes so makes the workout more effective. Having bootcamps available 5 days a week really helps with being able to find time to go even if you have a busy schedule.

I am getting in really great shape. I’ve worked very hard and have had a lot of support, thanks to all my new friends at the gym and Scott.

I love it — not a «real» review? I have a canceled check endorsed by Scott. Just read his replies to the lousy reviews and you will understand the person we are talking about… his mouthy, flippant responses speak volumes.

I would give this 0 stars. This was the worst non boot camp class ever. I went for a class and was told we aren’t doing boot camp today and to go stand over there in a dark, freezing cold, dirty gym and do 100 reps of weights. Never a hello, what’s your name, any injuries, etc. Pretty much get out of my face and lift weights. Hugest D Bag and totally disrespectful nearly shoving me out the door when I told him it wasn’t for me. It’s called respect dude, especially towards a lady. Such a waste of my time.

I have been going to Scott’s bootcamp for a couple of years now and it’s great! The workouts are challenging but you start seeing results immediately. The group environment and jokes help the hour go by fast. Having also had a gym membership I can tell you that bootcamp or group personal training is a much better way to spend your money.

In my house we have a treadmill, free weights, exercise balls and all sorts of other things to help you stay in shape. The problem is I’m kind of lazy when left up to my own devices. Being lazy hasn’t hindered me in the past, but recently I’ve upset my metabolism with all the eating out and drinking. (I think some of you may feel my pain?) So, I’ve been watching this group of people run up and down the hill by my house, then do push-​ups, squats, bear crawls, and a million other exercises under the direction of one man. After a while of watching I made up my mind to head down the hill and see what all this movement was about.
Turns out Trainer Scott operates a boot camp 5 days a week at Wash Park (at Downing and Ohio). Monday through Thursday at 7 pm and Saturday mornings at 10 am. You can go to all 5 of these classes for $ 75 a month. It’s almost like he doesn’t give you a reason to not sign up. So I did.
The first hour-​long class I thought I was going to die. I almost threw up 3 times and I almost passed out 4. I know, I know. You are probably thinking why did I go back? Well, I may be exaggerating about what I felt, but that’s because this workout seriously kicked my ass. Like, I could barely roll out of bed the next day because all my muscles were so very sore.
I am really enjoying the classes though. Scott has a way of making time fly while making you sweat your guts out. And each time I feel myself getting a little stronger. And that is a very fantastic feeling. Plus, I’ve been going for about 3 weeks now and I still feel the soreness from working my muscles so hard and I think my belt is getting loser even.
