I made the mistake of stopping by this bakery, as I was«greeted» by the most rude woman I’ve ever encountered. In Vietnamese, I inquired to a 40-something year-old Vietnamese woman about the price of some pastries that were displayed on the counter that lacked signs. She annoyingly snapped at me for asking her this question. Once I found out the price, I decided to approach the counter in order to place my order. She disgusting rolled her eyes and asked in Vietnamese, «What do you want!?» I should have walked out of the bakery at this point. Luckily for her, none of the customers there at the time were Vietnamese and didn’t comprehend or appreciate how obnoxious and rude she was behaving towards me. I seriously wanted to yell in English, «Why are you treating me this way? What is wrong with you? I just came in to buy a pastry.» I’m happy to report that I took the high road and didn’t make a scene. I can tell you this, I’ll never make any recommendations to this place and never plan to return. What a nightmare!

This place is one of the best banh mi places I’ve found in Denver! We were craving it so went out of our way to go here. We’ve also heard that the café sua da was legit as well. So we got coffee and the banh mi thit nuong(grilled pork). The bakery had a number of other things I wanted to try as well but I didn’t want to overdo it! They had fresh churros, pâté so, the flat sesame bread, sesame balls and a number of other things. They make everything themselves which is awesome! Even their own moon cakes! The coffee was legit!!! It was really good. A little sweet for me but the coffee itself had a really good taste to it. Like nutty or something. It was really good! The banh mi was really good as well. We didn’t get jalapenos in it which is a norm in Texas so next time I’ll have to ask for that. The meat itself was a little sweet for what I’m used to but it was still really good. Will definitely be going back soon!

Been coming here for a couple years. Amazing bahn mi’s. I always get extra meat and extra spicy pork. But all the sandwiches are wonderful. So many delicious items to choose from. The iced coffee is always great and drank before I get home. Love love love this place.

Amazing customer service! Even on a snowy morning/afternoon they had plenty of business, and for good reason! Great pastries and Bahn mi. Love the duck and pork.

I love the Grilled Pork bahn mi. The only reason why it is a four star is because they skimp on the the pickled radishes depending on the person behind the counter working that day. The white dudes will short you, but the Vietnamese dude with the glasses and the girl will treat you right. Make sure you put the sriracha sauce and the whatever delicious oily red spicy sauce(by the water and next to the sriracha sauce. *they sell them in little mason jars for $ 4*) on your bahn mi! They also have mexican coke which goes better with bahn mi than regular coke lol.

I am now a regular at this spot. The sandwiches are very affordable and delicious. There are many options to choose from, my favorite so far is the grilled pork. They’ve got a fun selection of other baked goods and good coffee choices as well.

The Vietnamese coffee was delicious but the banh mi was just ok. The bread was huge and fluffy but the meat/veggies weren’t that great. My banh mi had way too much mayo, it was freezing cold and dripping everywhere.

Yummy yummy yummy. Delicious and relatively cheap for the portion that you get. Had the grilled pork Bahn mi and Vietnamese coffee. The coffee can be either hot or cold and I took it hot, it’s sweet(seems to be due to condensed milk). The place was empty when we were there. It had a good amount of seating available and the environment was clean and pleasant.

Hipster alert Downhill location. Very Americanized and cheap on the fillings. I grew up in Denver having visited many Viet sandwich shops throughout my childhood till now. I used to come to this shop when it was in the same shopping center right next to POM back in the 90s. Hardly any pickled dikon and carrots within and grilled pork has a bitter after taste. When I’m craving an authentic well made Viet sandwich I’ll just drive next door over to POM and grab one. — The guys were on there phones with gloves on — Over priced pastries which should be less than a dollar

Bahn Mi is one of those simple foods that when done correctly will make even the lamest eater weep with joy. Vinh Xuong Bakery absolutely crushes it! Start with the bread… a perfect crusty baguette baked in house. The bread is probably the best I have had in Denver. A lot of places have trouble getting a good loaf at our altitude but these guys nail it. Follow the bread up with a deliciously fresh pickled vegetables, flavor packed roast port, and a smear of pâté and you will have a meal to die for. Best part(and don’t tell them) is that this sandwich is enough food for two people and at $ 4 would be the best deal in town even if it wasn’t so delicious. So in short, if you LOVE fresh, authentic, healthy(reasonably) Vietnamese sandwiches you need to eat here. If on the other hand you prefer crappy fast food from a mega chain joint… that’s fine… stay away… who needs you.

This place is awesome. Love stopping here after a ski day. Grilled Pork Banh Mi is my favorite, but I always check to see what the daily special is, sometimes it is roasted duck!

O.m.g. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Oh, did I just mutter incoherently? Had their pork bun, grilled bahn mi with a vietnamese coffee and my brain farted from the gloriousness of the meal. It is really that good. yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Just had great customer service here and had to give the props. I got there right before closing and they were sold out of bread for the sandwiches. I was hangry and frustrated. The lovely gentleman at the counter had their other location drop off more bread so they can make me some sandwiches(right at closing time). Now that’s going above and beyond. Thank you! PS. The tofu sandwich is really good! Meatball is still the best but try the tofu sandwich too.

Ehrmagerd… Duck. Bahn. Mi. YAAAASSSS! This place is an awesome hidden treasure! They have a very modest menu: 4 – 5 sandwiches, several coffee options, and boba/smoothies. The day I went(a Sunday), they had a roasted duck bahn mi on special. Hnnghh… it. was. amazing. Highly, highly recommend. Get it! If you want a pork bun, check the fridges!

Pffffft! Get at this spot, fo’ real. My homie was rappin’ ’bout that Vietnamese coffee for days, and I’m all, «Yeah, yeah– it’s dope. That’s what’s up. I’m uh get at that.» But after a stiflin’ hot afternoon skateboarding and we end up at the War Memorial four-stair-over-the-chain off Alameda, homie made good on that rec and forced me in. Also jammed some shredded beef rolls/wraps, and when asked about GF, my man came correct with all that soy sauce and hoisin knowledge. Then proceeded to go down the list of options across them menus of all the joints I could get at next time. My man gots a natural cadence and I was practically in a trance. The ladies are so sweet in here, and with four workin’ behind that counter, they’s all just hustlin’ some good service. Homegirl even took interest in the crew skating out front, which I had a solid view of from my comfy bench spot. She-beaux’s back home in Detroit, but upon that return I’m plottin’ a course from DIA to this joint right here– then to the market across the street cuz’ they gots to offer some bamboo mats or home décor we’d be feelin’. It’s not even like, «Oh, I hope these fools make it.» It’s like, «Yo, these fools be doin’ it.» Get. At. This. Spot.

Great customer service and they actually speak English(probably because it was a white guy there). There wasn’t much of a selection when I went around 3PM. We got a couple of the bread sticks(the sticks you pull apart and usually put in congee). They were good, tasted on point. Only down side were they were next to the sesame balls and there were a few pieces of sesame on them. I also got the #1 moon cake with nuts and no egg. Let’s be honest, I’m Asian and that egg is nasty. It was not very good. There was a strange taste of meat in it and these weird red pieces that almost looks like raw meat inside. Not what I’m used to. Also a bit expensive for $ 8 a moon cake.

Cozy little sport right off Alameda. I came here around lunch time during the weekday(12PM) and I saw the reviews for the banh mi sandwiches so I had to check it out. I was expecting a crazy mess like New Saigon but I was the only one there! CRAZY! I ordered the grilled pork and got a puff pastry with beef, $ 6? Great deal. The sandwich itself was good, I still prefer New Saigon, but for the location, price and the quick service, no complaints. I’ll be back!

Phenomenal coffee and some really inventive desserts. Definitely check this place out. The staff is really friendly, and they have a wide variety of treats to choose from. It’s also cool place to hang out if you have a little work to do or just feel like chilling. I regularly stop by this place when I’m in the area.

Sorry, it just didn’t do it for me. Ordered the banh mi dac biet which is the combo with all the goodies(ham, cha, headcheese, pâté). It wasn’t flavorful and the pickled daikon and carrots were a bit overpowering. And at $ 4 a banh mi, I expected a lot more. Maybe I’m just used to the California prices where a banh mi is $ 3 max. I will say the restaurant is extremely clean and inviting. Service was friendly and fast.

I love this place! This is by far the best Bahn Mi sandwich around! The only place that offers such a variety of Bahn Mi sandwich options. It’s also a bakery too and has some tremendous desserts and coffee options. You have to try this place. Truly one of a kind.
