Zengo is interesting for sure! Great location and the food was amazing! You should go at least once! I give it 3 stars for two main reasons 1. The tables are small and awkward 2. The service was pretty horrible. There were long waits for everything and no one really checked on us or anyone around us. If you needed anything you had to flag someone down(including ordering your meal) and when your bill for two people goes over $ 100 that should never happen. You’re paying for the experience — not the food.

I really enjoyed Zengo. Dining Passbook FTW! It had caught my eye as another Sandoval restaurant and after loving Tamayo, wanted to give it a shot. Without explaining too much about what you could google — it’s a Latin/Asian fusion. And it’s good. They encourage you to do family style since the players are smaller, but not quite Linger small. Order a couple of appetizers or dim sum and an entrée and you’ll have enough to go around. Or you can always order more if you’re still hungry like we did. Loved the shishito peppers and spicy XO edamame in particular. And the duck arepas. Yum! Oh, and the margs. Always the margs!

Came here for dinner. Drinks were just okay. The wait for food was ridiculous! The food wasn’t the greatest(chicken was unevenly cooked and steak wasn’t seasoned well enough) and the dining experience as a whole was sub-par. We had our«okay» drinks comped but that didn’t make up for the slow service.

This place is a massage with a happy ending. The bottomless brunch is some of the best food I’ve put in my mouth, chewed on and swallowed. I am not going out on a limb by saying we don’t want Bernie, Hillary or Trump. We want Zengo 2016… Make America Brunch Again. Brunch we can believe in. Feel the Brunch!

Was not impressed. Sushi was sub par and the rest of the food was mediocre at best. Service wasn’t great either. All in all for a date night i was left very disappointed.

Do not go here. Go to a $ 1.50 Chinese scoop place that has a taco truck parked next to it. It will be 10x better food and you ou won’t have to pay $ 40 per person. Seriously they must make so much money on you idiots that gave this place a good review… they serve terrible food with terrible store bought sauce from the local supermarket. Restaurants like this with mostly good reviews is why this city has no culture.

This place is awful! I have been multiple times and the service was horrible each time. It’s insanely overpriced for below average small plates. Save your money, go anywhere else in Denver.

I’ve been here for bottomless brunch and for dinner and both times have been exceptional! My boyfriend and I got the Chipotle Miso Glazed Black Cod for dinner, we cleaned out plates. Even though it’s a pricey main($ 33), don’t expect a huge plate. It was fairly small and I would suggest getting an appetizer as well. Definitely returning!

I am a patron of the bottomless brunch, so this review is based solely on those weekend mornings. If you don’t mind spending a bit of money(breakfast will cost about $ 50 per person including tip) this is the place to get your fat kid on. When we hear«all-you-can-eat» we assume greasy food under warming tins, watered down drinks, and some«past its prime» shrimp. What you find at Zengo is the exact opposite of this, making their brunch worth every penny. This is a gourmet all-you-can-eat spot where every dish is somehow better than the last, and the amazing staff won’t judge you for keeping the dishes coming. A menu provides you with tons of options to choose from and to order from as often as you see anything you like, as well as a huge drink selection included in the bottomless brunch. We came for my birthday last Sunday and stayed well over two hours and ate and drank so much a long walk was necessary after. Next time you’re in the mood for something truly delicious and different, make sure you eat a light dinner the night before and get over here with the emptiest stomach you can so that you can eat and drink so much you have to be rolled home. Also, Über. I think I was drunk for two days.

Happy to give Zengo 5 stars after my last review. Came for the Sunday brunch and everything was great. The hostess was friendly and sat our party of 5 at a large booth near the back. If you want to make me happy sit me at a booth. The main reason for the 5 star review was Scott the server. He was energetic, helpful and just a blast to have serving us. He brought out his favorite plates(brunch is all you can eat and/or drink depending on what you’re feeling) as well as bringing out anything else we wanted to try. So basically ask for Scott when you go to Zengo and you’ll be sure to have a fantastic meal. The coffee was excellent and they did a great job of making sure it was refilled(like four times but don’t judge me). We basically tried everything on the brunch menu and I enjoyed it all. The beet and watermelon salad was light, refreshing and not overly dressed. The same with the chicken and walnut salad. The shrimp and vegetable potstickers were fried and not greasy and perfect little two bit apps. The ceviche had good pieces of mahi and pineapple. It was a little wet so the tortilla chips didn’t really sop it up but delish nonetheless. The angry zengo roll is a good take on a spicy tuna with avocado and tobiko. The plantains were good(albeit very sweet) with a sweet sauce to dip them in. They do help some of the more savory dishes. The only item we didn’t get to try were the bacon roasted brussel sprouts as they didn’t get their shipment of brussel sprouts that previous evening/morning.

I could give Zengo and our server Armando a great big kiss! We had a fantastic time at Zengo, little drunk and so darn full! I’ll overlook the fact that they don’t actually open the doors till 10am so we all had to freeze our tits off outside for 15 minutes. FYI — most of the popular places in Denver at least give you free coffee while you wait! As soon as we sat down Armando gave us the run down — they want to turn the tables so 2 hours is all you get — thank you for your honesty. And honestly, unless you have a huge party that talks rather than eats, you don’t need a full 2 hours. Now I’m a pretty serious eater. And paying $ 39 for a bottomless brunch & drinks was nerve-racking for me. I like to get my monies worth. So coming to a place that served small plates was unsettling. What if the service is slow? What if they take their time with the drinks? What if all the small plates are VERY small? It’s only 2 hours! — No need to worry! It’s 2 hours later, my hubby is taking a nap and I feel like I am going to explode. Armando took great care of us. He asked if anyone had any dietary restrictions, when we said no, he suggested that we try a bit of everything, starting at lighter & moving to heavier then dessert and that he could get the kitchen started with some recommendations & we can add anything we want as we go. Sounds great to us! Saved us researching the menu. There was so many small plates that I can’t remember them all. Lucky that I have great friends that let me take photo’s of most things before we got stuck into them! Us girls had Sangria’s to drink and then after a while I changed to Guava Mimosa’s. I don’t love sweet drinks but these weren’t too bad. My friends hubby helped himself to the bloody mary bar & my hubby wen’t the DD route and had cappuccino’s. If you don’t like cinnamon on your coffee, make sure you let them know because he was a little taken back with the amount on there and they happily gave him another one without any complaint. And the coffee is NOT bottomless, $ 4 each. For the quality of the food & service, it was worth the money even without the drinks. The plates were coming out so fast in the beginning and then slowed down as we were starting to get fuller.(Thank goodness) The waffles are to die for, the edamame beans are a must have — sounds odd I know, but trust me, the sushi rolls were so fresh, ceviche was beautiful, crispy tofu was amazing!, delicious sauce on the Brussels sprouts… I could go on! But I won’t because I should probably have a lie down now.

I’ve been to Zengo several times and it was always great. The food was excellent, but somehow it was a little expensive, $ 15 for two persons imagined that, they also had this small portion of BBQ Chicken! $ 26 for a double jack and coke! They are trying to charge Georgetown prices, but in Chinatown. Again, the food is good, but it simply isn’t worth the prices.

Zengo is a quaint place tucked away just west of downtown Denver. If you want to avoid paying for parking and still be able to head downtown for drinks after dinner, you’re in luck! Just cross the bridge over the light-rail tracks and you’ll pop out at union station. The atmosphere here at Zengo is great! A charming place for a nice date, but also a fun spot to grab drinks with friends before heading out. Definitely a little bit pricey for casual meals, but both the food and drinks are top notch quality.

My husband and I came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner and we were amazed! I had a pork belly Bimbimbap and he had Wagyu steak. I thought the Bimbimbap had a good flavor and the pork belly was tender. My husband said each bite of his Wagyu steak was heavenly. We also had the blistered shishito peppers for an appetizer, but we thought it needed a thicker dipping sauce. We both enjoyed our dessert, which was an Espresso White Chocolate Mousse cake. We also thought the service was attentive. An overall excellent experience!

The Good: Awesome date atmosphere, creative fusion dishes, and great service. The Bad: Just«okay» drinks, higher end pricing and some food that didn’t measure up. I had the pleasure of going to Zengo the other day and truly enjoyed trying out a variety of foods and drinks. Overall, it was a great experience and I would return because of the great atmosphere. Food: Their fusion tacos and thai empanadas w/peanut sauce were really awesome, while the edamame and sushi left a lot to be desired. Drinks: I tried the guava mojito(delicious) and the house margarita(mediocre.). No beers on tap, although they do have bottled Mexican beers.

Their Sunday brunch special was godly. We must of had 13 courses. The ‘make your own bloody mary’ bar was a great and fun twist on casual dining. I have to give major props to the entire staff because I looked out to the kitchen at one point and saw a line of tickets longer than DMX’s arrest record, and they weren’t even breaking a sweat. If you’re in the area, this place is a must try.

Arriving quite early for a private event being held here, I really didn’t know what to do with myself, especially, because the bar was packed. Lone and be hold, a seat opened up perfectly for me to relax a bit while I was waiting. It’s great to have immediate service, and I was really happy how the bartenders were on-point with attentive service, while still slinging out Sake, and Sangria to the HH crowd, which really seem to like the Sushi, as numerous people were ordering it. Everything just got better, once the party started, and I was impressed how many people flocked to get the appetizers, and the servers ability to keep up with the demands for drinks too. I could barely hold one drink without spilling, while the servers would have full tray’s, and still be busing tables. It was my first time, so I didn’t know that some people crave Zengo(night & day). Needless to say round 1 –5 food went quickly. When the whole staff provides exceptional service, and keeps up with my high demands, it’s as good as it going to get in my book. The manager Matthew recognized good service and we’ll he did a great job to provide it for our party. Just a short walk over the bridge next to Union Station, and there is even a b-cycle station at the adjacent park.

Living right about this hip spot(literally, right above) makes it very convenient for me to drop in for a delicious order of shrimp-vegetable potstickers and Zengo fried rice easily. And I love to do so! However, I would be a frequent visitor to this Richard Sandoval restaurant even if I didn’t live a few steps away. And like many other reviewers have mentioned, their $ 39 bottomless Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am — 2:30pm is second to none. Bottomless free flowing brunch cocktails including mimosas and a Build Your Own Bloody Bar with over 30 fixings to make it to your liking are a cherry on the top to the yummy bites including chorizo benedict, spicy tuna rolls and a dozen other unlimited small plates that fill the table! Quite certainly, if you haven’t been here, you must come!

Update: I am still swooning over a perfect date night last night at Zengo. Just so happens there were Dragons and Drums for Chinese New Year, along with some special menu items to represent luck, wealth and happiness. The place was buzzing and felt alive. The service was great and attentive with honest and engaged conversations. We thought Alexa was incredible!! water filled consistently, plates taken timely, never had to ask for anything. It’s been awhile since I’ve experienced seamless service and this all happened here. Our menu tonight… Asian Chicken Meatballs, Hawaiian Tuna Poke Tower, Asian Vegetable Spring Rolls, Peking Duck Steamed Buns and my favorite Crispy Tofu with Baby Bok Choy. Oh and Churros! Anyway — here is what I think — if you are celebrating something or haven’t been here for awhile — tell them! Get acquainted and it is simply an elevated experience with genuine care and hospitality. I care about the food but still look for moments of care with service. They have both and it seems to be getting stronger. Chef Robert is a talent for sure! 2.6.16 Zengo has been putting out stellar food in the Riverfront area of Denver for years and brought some killer chef talent to Denver. I recently had a chance to enjoy a menu tasting before the new menu rolled out and it was really incredible. Richard Sandoval is a wonderful host and a talented leader among his team. I am a huge fan of their brunch or any meal with your favorite people that you like to share small plates with!

I visited Zengo for brunch on Sunday with two friends and was completely delighted! Despite arriving without reservations at the peak of brunch time and right before a Broncos game, there was no wait for a table of 3 and there was complimentary valet parking! Before my other guests even arrived I had a yummy Guava mimosa in my hand! The food choices are incredible and there’s definitely something for everyone! I despise the typical American eggs and bacon diner-style breakfast and this is definitely NOT that. Between the 3 of us we ordered atleast 12 dishes and finished(and loved) all of them except the chicken chilaquiles. Despite being absolutely committed to loving Zengo I do have a few small complaints. First off, we all supposedly ordered different flavors of mimosa, but refills were all poured from the same pitcher. This was confusing. Next, our server seemed a bit judgy about the amount of food we were consuming which should not be the case when there are mostly small plates being served and it is «bottomless». We cleaned our plates of everything we ordered, so it’s not like we were being wasteful, just hungry!

Zengo is a great place for a girls night out! They have a fun selection of drinks and there’s truly something for everyone on the menu! I recommend the edamame and the Shishito peppers for apps. I also had the Pork Carnitas Rice Noodles. Delicious! I’m hoping to come back for brunch soon!

I’m so bummed about Zengo. This used to be my FAVORITE brunch spot in Denver(see previous review). However when we came in last weekend, it wasn’t the same. The quality of the food wasn’t as good. They also changed some of their dishes and they weren’t as exciting. Drinks were still great. But the food just didn’t blow our minds like it used to. The part that really put a damper on our experience was how the bottomless brunch was executed. There was 8 of us, and in the past, we’ve always been able to order WHATEVER we wanted from their bottomless brunch menu. But this time, before we could order anything we wanted, our server automatically decided that she was going to give us a «tour of the brunch menu.» Without even asking if that is something our group would like to participate in or not. She just said she was going to bring out everything on the brunch menu in segments. This«tour» felt more like a «taste» of the menu — some of the dishes weren’t portioned out for our group! For example, they brought us 4 tiny waffles… and there was 8 of us at the table. They also brought 4 slices of bacon and 4 eggs… even though there was 8 of us. Not very satisfying. When we tried to order certain dishes, she’d tell us that she is going to bring it out later and that it is part of the tour. This«tour» took the fun out of our brunch experience. We felt like we couldn’t order anything WE wanted. We just had to sit there and wait for food to be brought out. Food that we didn’t even ask for, like tofu and salmon. None of us wanted those dishes, so it was a complete waste of food. We felt like we weren’t allowed to order what we wanted to order. Why would someone choose to go to a bottomless brunch, when you feel like you can’t choose what you’re going to eat. Our group wasn’t too thrilled with this execution, and didn’t really make us want to come back.

Came here with a near-expiring LivingSocial coupon. Wasn’t somewhat hesitant about this place. When we arrived at about 6:30pm, it was sparse in customers. However, by the end of our night, people started to pile in, almost every table was full. Appetizer: Thai Chicken Empanada, fried crispy, stuffed with chicken, and slightly spread with curry sauce. Main dishes: Zengo fried rice, had Asian-style barbecued duck, smaller shrimps, and bits of pork in it. It wasn’t salty, it had a good flavor to it, and was a bit greasy like any other fried rice. Chipotle Glazed Miso Black Cod, which was basically Asian mayonnaise mixed with Sriracha decorated on top of a Cod, wait they call that their aioli. They did pan fry some daikon and asparagus to accompany it. Dessert: Banana Chocolate Tart, had chocolate covered strawberries and bananas, an ice cream on top a think chocolate tart, with what appears to be Coco Puffs on the side. This was very rich and sweet, the ice cream helps balance it out. Overall, like Vilma S. said, the dishes were tasty, however, the portions were small and on the higher price for the quantity. It is a Richard Sandoval restaurant, which tends to try to go upscale. The common theme for this place is, do the Happy Hour and the Brunch, best bang for the buck!

It had been a long time between visits so it was good to be back. My husband and I split the Omakase platter and I can’t tell you what was my favorite. The passion fruit ceviche was so flavorful we couldn’t get enough of it. The sushi was all spicy but not so spicy that i couldn’t handle it(ketchup is my spice of choice). I had a passion fruit lychee mojito(love me some passion fruit) which was the perfect sweet to the spicy sushi. Service was adequate. We’ll be back soon

My boyfriend and I came to Zengo(both first timers) for our anniversary and let me tell you, the service was fantastic! Their staff sure knows how to to treat people right and not bother you too much. I don’t believe reservations are necessary but I would guess on a weekend night, it gets busy. Their wine selection is the perfect size — not too big, not too small. Regular menu is the same way — you’re not overwhelmed with options and not wishing you had more. As for the food, that’s where my rating goes down a bit. I got the short rib udon noodle and he got the black cod — neither of which were outstanding but decent. I would possibly come back and try something else. They do have a patio so it could definitely be nice to do a happy hour when it’s nice out!

First, check in to get your free mojito! I’ve ate at Zengo a few times and most recently we were here for my cousin’s birthday. They let all of us check in for the mojito! Our waiter was awesome and super patient with our party of nine. Every time I come here, I introduce people to the tuna wonton tacos which is truly a mastery of Latin-Asian fusion! I absolutely love this appetizer and wish more pieces came with each order. We usually have to share it so everyone only gets a bite. The sushi here is alright, but I wouldn’t suggest it, only because there’s a lot of other great items on the menu… such as the Short Rib Udon Noodle! Really tasty soup and the short ribs are soft and tender. The Wagyu Beef, Bacon Brussel Sprouts and Zengo Fried Rice are also great options! Also, Zengo is a great spot for photos. The entryway, the bar, the seating area — fantastic ambiance for group photos and selfies. Take a picture to capture your Zengo moment!

I love Maya in Dubai. My friend works at Tamayo in Denver, and I love Tamayo. But I really, really love Zengo. It’s a bit further walk for me, but it’s the cutest Richard Sandoval restaurant in Denver! Situated at the bottom of the DaVita’s headquarters, neighbor to Confluence Park and La Biblioteca(another RS option), Zengo fuses bright colors, lots of windows, and Asian-Latin cuisine all in one sitting! I’ve had the opportunity to dine at Zengo for Happy Hour, DD Brunch and Bottomless Brunch. Hands-down, bottomless brunch at Zengo is not only the way to go, but the best brunch option in downtown Denver. For $ 35 for two hours, you can enjoy an array of flavorful tapas, fruity champagnes, and all you can drink bloodys! Between the food runners, your server, and the highly engaged(and humorous) managers, there is no way you are left without food or beverage at your fingertips. I’m a religious snacker who loves to mix & match flavors one plate, so I’m in heaven at Zengo with their creative dishes. My favorite dish to date is a sushi roll I had there during a brunch(although I think is mostly a happy hour menu staple) that featured crunchy tempura salmon belly with grilled asparagus & roasted red pepper goat cheese! Lastly, its fair to mention how accommodating Zengo is to group reservations. The more the merrier I think is their motto! They’re flexible with timing too. Essentially, since it is family style tapas, they will just get the table started with a variety of popular favorites and allow you to supplement as necessary! It’s a great setup! Can’t wait for our next visit!

Based on several Unilocal recommendations and reviews, I planned a girls’ night out here for a party of 10. Although we went at happy hour, we found out that due to the size of our party(which wound up being 9 ladies), they could not honor the happy hour menu because we were seated inside and the happy hour menu was only honored at the bar and patio.(And a party of 9 is too large for their patio.) The manager was kind enough to work with us and permitted us to order a limited number of items off of the happy hour menu without any stress. As you can tell from the posted pictures, everything was very fresh. The portions weren’t terribly big but everything was DELICIOUS. We had a delightful time at the restaurant. Sadly, they contract with VIP Valet. They are the absolute PITS. The manager clarified that Zengo contracts with VIP Valet to provide services. The valet driver all but refused to move away from the vehicle of one of my guests until she tipped him. Multiple ones of us watched him floor the gas on our vehicles and drive erratically at nearly 50mph to go park and again when returning the cars to us. I called and notified the manager of our positive experiences at the restaurant and negative experiences with valet. While I enjoyed Zengo(thus the reason for the 4-star review), the valet company they have chosen to use has left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I will steer clear of Zengo until they partner with another company or encourage VIP Valet to call and apologize for such poor service.

I was disappointed. I was so excited to try this bottomless brunch. $ 40.00 for all you can eat small plates and drinks. Sounds amazing. In execution, it was disappointing. The food: sooooo salty. Seriously everything is way too salty. You get a ton of food and the waiters are great and very attentive but the food is(some of it) borderline inedible. Annoying. I will say, I typically hate waffles and the waffle was amazing. The bloody mary bar was wonderful. And all you can drink. The mimosas… eh. Big glass, lots to drink but they taste the same. Guava and Passion Fruit should not taste the same. I don’t know Zengo. I don’t think I can every try you for brunch again. I left feeling too let down.

Yummy yummy! Great spot for happy hour! Try some of their small plate appetizers or entres. Tasty drinks! They even happily honored the«free mohito» for my Unilocal check in even though it normally wouldn’t be available during happy hour pricing! Zengo is just a short walk from my son’s downtown apartment. And from the crowded outside crowd by the time we left it is a favorite of a good amount of people in the area. Service was impeccable and prices quite fair. Highly recommend!
