To commemorate my first professional haircut in almost ten years, I got a free cut, shampoo, and style from Nick, one of the students, for volunteering to be a live model for one of his classes. The owner and instructor, Peter, helped out with some of the cut, and it turned out fantastic. Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. I walked out of the salon feeling like a star. Why I ever went so long without visiting a salon, I’ll never know…

Chandra has been doing my hair for three years now and every time I walk out of the salon someone comments on how great my cut is or I often get asked where I get my hair done. For cherry creek area, it is well priced and I feel like I am paying a fair price for the great cut.

I was recommended to this salon by a friend. I was looking forward to a great hair cut and, specifically, walked through the type of hair I have for the best stylist. My appt was set until Jody, the manager, called and switched stylists on me and assured me I would get a great cut verses who was probably the best stylist for my hair.
Needless to say, I have been struggling the last couple of weeks with a really bad haircut. My stylist cut short pieces of my hair where I have been left wondering what she was thinking??? I have been so frustrated trying to style this bad cut and make the best of it. Jody, I think you should have left me with my original stylist, but I will not be back.

I first met Peter at the Cherry Creek Arts Fair about 8 years ago. He and his team were cutting hair for charity. In dire need of a haircut, I put my name on the list and waited for my turn. Peter was up in rotation and he got me.
Can I just say it was the best haircut I had received for years up until then. I have since gone back faithfully several times a year.
Peter always cuts my hair a little different every time, always involving me in the haircut decision. I always leave Zuri feeling beautiful and sexy.

Don’t be fooled by the attractive building. Peter, the owner, gave me a terrible haircut. No style or understanding of how hair falls.

Zuri Salon is absolutely fabulous. I have only ever used Jimmy, the Artistic Director and he does amazing things to my hair. Everyone at the salon has been extremely friendly and I will continue to go here.

First time here, I was walking by and desperately needed a blow-​out for the night. The customer service was good initially, but went down hill later. I worked with a very nice woman named Roxanne… who unfortunately could not give a blow-​out. Roxanne was to give me a blow-​out with a head full of «…waves going in all directions» (her description of what she would give me)…and she struggled for about 15 – 20 on same section with zero progress. I get a lot of blow-​outs so I became concerned and asked her to stop and I left.
I went down the street and had my hair finished by another salon and walked out with a GREAT blow-out…lots of wave and curl.
Although Roxanne was very professional — I will give her a 5-​star rating for professionalism, I was puzzled that the front desk did not seem to care when I left. The woman at the front desk was talking on the phone for over 10-​minutes and didn’t acknowledge that I was upset or put her caller on hold to work the front desk.
I stopped another stylist walking by to explain what happened and he was just as rude and seemed appalled I was not going to pay. Why should i pay? I came for a blow-​out …did not come close to getting one and stopped the stylist who had been working on ¹⁄₈ of my hair for 20-​minutes.
I won’t be back… a decent blow-​out is not alot to ask unfortunately and I got alot better customer service down the street at Frizz. In fact, I highly recommend Frizz.
That being said, I should have known this may be the outcome b/​c the person that helped me was the only one that had an opening and her prices were 50% cheaper than the other stylists they mentioned to me who were not available… so I guess I should have taken that into consideration, but I figured how hard is a blow-​out if your are a pro?

for 24 years, this sleek euro refuge has led the trends in cherry creek. peter friedauer, a swiss immigrant, knows style like no other in the region. expect to be enchanted by the inviting ambiance of his spa and the gentle touch of his impeccable staff. my hair has been shortened by nearly everyone there at some time or other and i have never had anything but an enjoyable and welcoming experience. no attitude, no exorbitant prices and very, very good work. from full service spa treatments like their legendary pumpkin pedicure to the elegant check-​in desk, everything is designed as a sumptuous treat for the senses. and if you can’t trust a bloke who cuts his own hair that well, who can you trust?
