Been here once, won’t be going back anytime in the near future. Although I must say I vaguely remembering the staff being helpful and kind, the prices are absolutely ridiculous for what they have to offer. It appeared that virtually everything in the store was around double the price in comparison to your local Lowes or Home Depot. Considering all the products offered are for sale at the larger chain stores such as the ones mentioned, and that there is a Home Depot within a 5 mile radius, I do not see why one would come here unless for one or two urgent purchases.

When we lived in mountain lakes, this was an easier store to visit. Now, in Denville, despite being in the same town, I have to drive to back to mountain lakes to shop. But it’s still worth the effort. Here’s why…
This morning, we were coming from church — also in mountain lakes — looking to buy rock salt to spread on the church’s drive and entrance. The fellow working in the store gave me some good advice on which brand to buy, found out that it was for church and gave me a nice discount. He even helped load 250lbs of salt into the trunk. How cool is that? And this isn’t the first time the people at this store has impressed us.
Local stores like this have to compete with huge stores on many levels. This store has always earned our business through service.
We will be back because of the way they value our business — always with excellent advice and best in class service.
Give them a shot next time you need something from a hardware store.

Mountain Lakes, NJ
The employees here are very helpful and this location is much more conveniently located for residents of Mountain Lakes and the surrounding communities than Home Depot. I found a new type of wall hanger that holds up to 200 lbs and leaves very small holes in the wall. This was recommended to me by an employee and it did the trick. I’m going back today for more.
