Such good breakfast! Very cheap, they only take cash so make sure you stop at an ATM before or just have cash on you! Tiny place, seat yourself kind of thing. Very homey. They use mugs that are personal,(mine had puppies on it). Everything tastes amazing and it’s always the same people working so they remember you when you come back! It’s an adorable place and awesome food. X’s and O’s! J

Had brunch here on the weekend. Loved it a whole lot. I hadn’t been in before the alleged new management so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Ambience — friendly and bright and retro-riffic with chrome and formica. A little dingy, but apparently it really has been around since the ‘50s when it was brought in on wheels. There are maybe eight booths and then a few seats at the counter. Crumbly sidewalks and a couple of steps up to get inside, not really accessible to those on wheels. The menu is big and BBQ-centric. If you order something with BBQ you can pick any of their sauce varieties(listed with pepper ratings for spiciness). Yes, they have a BBQ breakfast — two eggs and toast with home fries smothered in BBQ and American-cheez sauce. Truly epic and unique. I got the Bourbon Street sauce(two peppers) and I think I’ll try something hotter next time. Hubby got pancakes with blueberry crumb topping, mom got biscuits and sausage gravy(this still pales next to Olive Tree’s sausage gravy) and corned beef hash, and her exchange student got steak and eggs which looked like it had a nice solid piece of real steak as opposed to the hammered-flat kind. Oh, and the coffee is stronger than the other brunch spots on the block. The Mill and the Tree have to up their game on this one. They don’t take plastic, so bring cash. They sell their Some Great BBQ sauce in bottles for $ 6.49 and it’s locally bottled in Lancaster. I think they’re calling the restaurant the Smokin’ Little Diner now.

I love diner food. I love old school diner food — give me some Elvis, a Jukebox and a Poodle skirt and I’d be in heaven. I was so excited to try this diner and was glad that we did. All of your favorites are there and breakfast is so big it could feed 2 people. I had the BBQ breakfast which I thought was unique until I noticed that the entire restaurant is going to become a BBQ place. :(I hope that it is going to keep the diner charm as it is what makes it so unique.

Now under new management, the place is fantastic! Incredible BBQ, and the hawg wings are to die for! Seriously try pretty much any BBQ items, I highly recommend the Fireberry sauce if you like it spicy, or Bourbon Street if you like it a little milder

Been here a few times. It’s the kind of place that jumps out or you miss it if you not into the mom and pop type place. 50’s style all the way. Very nice in the old style. Food is very good. Step back a fey years and enjoy.

The food is basic diner food but they do a good job at it. The service is friendly. This is a classic American roadside diner where you order breakfast or lunch leisurely sip your coffee, read the newspaper and sometimes chat with the other patrons. No pretensions here. Sometimes it’s refreshing to just have a decent plate of bacon and eggs in a relaxed atmosphere. It takes you back in time a little.

I came here for breakfast with a fellow Unilocaler this morning. It is a 50s diner which was brought in on wheels back in 1954… and it’s been in Depew ever since. It definitely has that old school feel. Employees are nice and you can tell they’ve been there for a while, used to their ways. The service is real kind here. The food could use an update, I’d probably give it 3-stars overall. I had ham, homefries and 3 eggs. The eggs were wonderful, the ham was a generic cold cut that was heated up, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Prices are more than fair, especially if you come for the early-bird specials. Oh and their diner coffee is actually pretty decent! I’m happy drinking it with no cream, which is always a sign of good coffee for me. They also serve burgers, chicken sandwiches and other typical lunch /later dinner food. Overall: I’m a fan. Great prices, decent food. I don’t expect much more from a diner like this.

Well I know I had visited this place some time ago, and had not been back but I could not remember why I had not gone back… Well now I know… I recently went back here, and have to say I was very disappointed… I got your basic breakfast… English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich with cheese, bacon, and egg over-medium to over-well…I also got a side of homefries and a small juice… First the egg yolk was broken and the egg was cooked over hard… I had asked for butter on the english muffin but could hardly taste any on it… They did not put any cheese on it… So they offered to take it back in the kitchen and put cheese on it… I said just bringing me a slice that would be fine… Overall this sandwich was very bland, and seemed to have almost no taste to it at all… The homefries were on the softer side(seems like they were boiled too long)…They also had a foul taste — almost as if they were old and or freezer/fridge burn… And in fact after I left the diner I had a foul taste left in my mouth from them… The small juice was so small it was not much bigger than the pepper shaker, lol… In fact my first gulp left me with just half a glass left, lol… Oh, and I also got a water with a lemon… I thought the lemon looked odd as it had a shriveled old look to it… Well it tasted worse than it looked… It tasted just off… So bad that I had to ask for a new ice water without lemon… I am giving this diner 2 out of 5 stars… The stars are not for the food…1 star for a friendly waitress…1 star for a diner that’s a cool throw back in time… Will not be returning here…
