Caveat; you get what you pay for. That’s pretty much what you need to remember when you’re here. We bought a bench after seeing it in a Big Lots flyer — it seemed like a great deal at $ 35.00(the flyer had it listed at 49% off). At the store I noticed that the regular price was actually $ 40.00 and that the original $ 70.00 price tag was kind of made up to look good on the flyer(I tried pricing this bench on the web, but could only find it on the Big Lots site). So it was really more like five bucks off. A discount is a discount though, I guess. Just wish the ad had been more transparent. Upon trying to assemble the bench, we found the holes had been improperly drilled and spaced incorrectly. We literally could not get it to fit together. At first we thought WE were the defect, two idiots with tools unable to put together patio furniture, but it wasn’t us. It was the manufacturer. Upon measuring placement of the holes, we were sure there was no way we’d get that sucker together. We didn’t really have much of a problem taking the bench back to Big Lots though, which is a plus. I find Big Lots to be a little strange. They have couches for sale(and wooooooo, are they ooglay!), next to garden hoses and off-brand pork rinds(ew). They have great deals on some things(like benches), but then charge almost as much for a wind chime as said bench. So yeah, not a huge fan, but I know we’ll be back at least once. We need a garden hose.
