Papa D’s Pizzeria

Wanting pizza and fingers the other night, I called my favorite old standby and after placing my order I was told $ 23.63 and that for picking it up myself! Spying the menu on the table of another local pizzaria and their prices I cancelled my order and called Papa D’s.
Boy am I glad I did that!
Their family special is a 2 Ltr of soda, Large cheese and one topping pizza, double order of wings or fingers or french fries. $ 19.50.
The price difference between the two places = a gallon of gas and a two litre of soda. I ordered a calzone, as well, to celebrate.
Driving the same distance as the other place, in another direction, I saw that they even have a quaint little area to sit in and a few general grocery items for sale in the front.
Their phone was ringing off the hook when I got there. My order ready five minutes after I arrived, early.
Back home I was very suprised to discover that the pizza sauce was rich and full bodied like that which I had in Boston, Chere, you know the place!
The Calzone was enough to feed three people and the pie, the large size many places have dropped and replaced with a cheaper medium size only called a large. The chicken fingers were generous and tastey and unlike most of the frozen version other area establishments sell.
It was all very worth the price and the switch.
Threw out the rest of the menu collection and will keep this place from now on.
