I enthusiastically recommend getting your hair cut and colored by Sue Palumbo. Sue cut my hair when I was in high school, but I’ve since moved away from Buffalo for college, then law school, and I now live in Washington, DC. I have been in DC for about five years and I have spent a fortune of money bouncing around from stylist to stylist all over the city with mediocre results. I usually spend $ 75 for cut and another $ 150 for color. Yes, $ 225 total, before tip. I was sick of spending so much money and being only moderately satisfied. So, I decided to schedule an appointment with Sue for a cut and color when I was visiting my family in Buffalo earlier this month. I am absolutely thrilled with the results — my cut and color look better than anything I received at the top salons in DC, and for a fraction of the price! I am especially impressed with the color. My hair is naturally medium, mousy brown and I’ve been trying to get it darker brown with red undertones (think Debra Messing). Sue is the only person who has been able to give me this color. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to get this color from various stylists in DC but I always walk out unhappy. I am absolutely floored that Sue was able give me the exact color I wanted for a very small fraction of the price. My cut looks great too, I’ve gotten lots of compliments. From now on, I’m only getting my hair cut and colored by Sue. I’ll plan my trips home around it!
