Fuddy Duddy has always been a favorite stop for us. For a while the ownership changed hands and it was not up to snuff. But the original owners took it back about two or three years ago and it’s all back to perfect. The fudge is first rate. It’s smooth and flavorful with no grit. And the people that work there are friendly and pleasant. Head down to Fuddy Duddy and have some caramels, fudge, or ice cream today! I know I’m going to.

Great fudge and caramel covered marshmallows. Lost two stars for the terrible«salt water» taffy. I look forward to salt water taffy when going to the beach and this stuff was terrible, what a waste of money. The peppermint tastes like bitter peppermint extract mixed with play dough. Everything else tasted weird and half was hard. Ughh. I’ll be back for the caramel marshmallows but definitely avoid the taffy!

We went back a couple days ago and it wasn’t the same anymore. It’s under new owners and it’s not as popular anymore as it had been. I walked in asking for a specific type of candy that the old owners made and was told I must be confused and that they had been there for years when in fact they have only been there a year. That’s always good, try to make the customer look bad so you don’t take responsibility for the pitfalls of your business. Worst yet, they had bought the candy shop down the street, Depoe Bay Candies. Now that business is failing. I would recommended Ainslee’s Salt Water Taffy Company which is in the middle between the two. They have not changed anything since their start in the 1940’s. Never going back to Fuddy Duddy, how disappointing.

I made my first trip to Fuddy Duddy’s yesterday. As I walked up to the shop, I noticed a woman(the owner maybe?) bringing in their sign board and asked if she was closing. She said she was getting ready to as it was a slow day, but welcomed me inside with a smile. Oh, the candy was everywhere! It all looked so good, it was hard to make any choices! She was so friendly and took the extra time to visit with me a while. I ended up getting some chocolate/peanut butter fudge and caramel corn that were both very good. However… the SEASALTCARAMELS!!! OMG! They are little bites of heaven! I will have to go back soon, as I only bought 2 not knowing how good they would be. I inhaled them both before I got back to Newport. If you are anywhere near Depoe Bay soon, you seriously need to go get some and experience them for yourself. You will not be sorry!

Have been going here for years for the caramels! soft and chewy and luxurious. The caramel covered marshmallows are fabulous as well. Their taffy is great but on the harder side(marionberry and peanut butter chocolate is the best).

Big time Fan for several years. Fuddy Duddy’s IS my favorite Candy shop along with Indulge in Seal Rock. The mass on site collection Fuggy Duddy’s has, gives the shopper an enormous array of choices. The Proverbial, Kid in a Candy Store definitely takes hole of one here as you try to choose. I usually come in and head straight to my favorites without giving anything else a try. I must expand my confectionery affections. A difficult task, but somebody’s gotta do it.

Good café latte. Lots of goodies, from taffys, fudge, brownies, and cookies. They also serve ice creams and coffee drinks, and italian sodas. Informal place, has a patio outside and seating area, and their café latte was okay. One can tell that the owners of this place are super christians because some of the chocolates say one nation under god. It’s probably just me, but I like my sweets non-denominational.
