Joey V’s Pizza

The char-​b-​q wings are great! I had their pizza a few times and it was ok. I never eat in, only order to-​go. I will say the restaurant doesn’t seem to be the cleanest. Kind of outdated and gives that dirty feel. The staff seems to be ok. Overall I give it 4 stars (because I LOVE the char-​b-​q wings)

Not sure what has happened here but this used to be our go-​to place for pizza, wings, and subs. Lately, there is always something wrong on every visit. Tonight I ordered 50 wings — I go to pick them up and discover they only made 30. They had no idea why or what happened. On a previous attempt to order several weeks ago, they were «out of wings.» A pizza place in Buffalo should NEVER run out of wings! The staff seems to be increasingly clueless and disinterested in servicing their customers.

Wow, what a bad experience. Pizza was terrible, wings were tiny! Ordered a sheet pizza with half pep. The pizza itself came in two large boxes and both sides were smaller than large pizzas and over done. They obviously made a mistake and put pep on the whole thing, I could have lived with that. But, to make up for it they obviously picked the pep off after the pizza was cooked. On top of that, the pizza was not good. Again, the wings were TINY, enough said about that.
Here is where it gets ugly. I’m not usually one to call and complain but $ 55 for this mess was enough for me to pick up the phone. I spoke to a female manager. I was very polite and just looking for someone to apologize in my moment of frustration. What I got was someone who said the following: She admitted the product was not what they usually served. She said because of the storm they were not able to get their usual ingredients. When I suggested maybe pricing the product to reflect the what the customer was given. She acted like they may be a good idea and placed me on hold. She came back later and seemed to be angry. She then blamed everything on the snow storm to include the over baked and under sized pizza. I told her that I wasn’t looking for a refund, I just wanted to acceptance of responsibility. She maintained her attitude and told me that they were not trying to make everyone happy. I explained that was probably a poor business model to go by in the pizza business. We went back and forth and it did not end well.
One last thing, I watched a girl making subs to her bare hands to include picking up the turkey after I saw her handle what appeared to be raw steak. I pointed it out to the women on the phone. She said, «I’m sure she washes her hands».

The food is good and usually the service is outstanding. Recently there is a new young guy in there though that is incredibly rude. Hoping he doesn’t last or it might be time to go elsewhere.

The pizza is great, The wings were good, and the subs are amazing.
