I also had an issue with carpet installation. Paid more than $ 4k to get my whole house re-carpeted, and their installers broke a window. When I called the store about it, they gave me the runaround, before ultimately telling me I should just claim it on my homeowner’s insurance. I told them the deductible exceeded the cost of the window, so I wasn’t going to do that. They are not offering to take responsibility for it at all. Apparently I am out of luck, and should have factored permissive property damage into my budget for this project. No one I spoke with at Lowes was helpful in any way, and they made it clear they no longer want my business in the future. Lowes is dead to me.

There are few times I feel complied to publicly give a company a bad review. We purchased carpet from derby Lowes on Friday. I was told it was in stock and they had 2 rolls in the back. The installer would be calling Monday or Tuesday the schedule install. I called on Monday and got nothing but attitude from Lindsay in installed sales because they have 48 hours to set up the install. I was told she would try to get the installed to call me. No call so I call back and get even more attitude from Lindsay because the installer must be busy and will call with in 24 hours to schedule a time. Noon on Tuesday no call. I call on my lunch break and get Lindsay again she says she will check and call me back. 3 o’clock share calls and says the product was delayed by the truck and they will give me 10% Off. And I will defiantly get a call Wednesday to schedule an install. Wednesday lunch break and no call. I call them and they say the carpet is not in yet and I will get a call as soon as it shows up. 5:50 on my way home no call so I call and Lindsay says carpet is in and some one should have called to tell me that. I say no one called. She says she will talk to that person about that(doubtful). I say I need this done this week we are on a tight schedule and didn’t think it would be 5 days before we would be able to schedule the install. She says the installed is not answering phone calls because it is now after 6 and she will call me @10 Thursday to confirm install. 6:45 Wednesday calab calls and apologizes for the confusion and says he will take care of the situation. I tell him this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Thursday 10 on the dot(this is the first call they have made to me the entire time) Lindsay says the schedualr had Thursday as the first install time. I say that is a week away we need it installed before that. She says he has a 3 day job that might be over early and if it is they can do it sat. I say that would be awesome please let them know we would really like it done on Sat. They will call Friday and let me know either way. Friday 330 no call so I call the store. They say installed sales has gone home for the day. I say it’s only for 330 I need to talk to some one about my carpet install. They say let me get you to a Manger that can help. After 9 minutes on hold I get Brian he says I will call Nathan and call you right back. 515 after work no call from Brian so I call the store. I say Brian said he would call me back at 330 I never got a call. Customer service says oh let me get home for you. I wait on hold for 11 minutes and the the line goes dead. I call back and wait on hold for 9 more minutes and the line goes busy. I call back and get calab he says he is on a forklift and needs so go to the front. He gets to the front and says he will call Nathan and keep me on the line. He calls Nathan and he says he will call him back in 10 minutes. Calab says he will call Nathan in 10 and call me as soon as he finds out if they are coming sat. 10 minutes later calab says they are not coming sat and the install will be Thursday. I say that’s dissopointing and really need it in before that. He says if there is a cancellation you are first in the list. I say all of that because I called Lowes at least 2 times a day for 3 day after giving them 1500 bucks for carpet and got attitude and lots of people that didn’t seem to care about me as the customer. Transpeancy and honesty go along way and I don’t feel like my experience had much of either.
