Going through high school as a student that played non stop sports eating habits were never much of a concern to me. 20 years later sitting in the doctors office looking at a chart of weight and height I noticed that at 264 I was 4 lbs over the obese mark. I started at Pride Fitness signing up for 3 group classes a week. The first class I was nervous I would not be able to keep up but was quickly relieved when I saw members ranging in age from 20s to 70s and a trainer Tyler Tinker that was not only upbeat and encouraging but clearly practiced what he preached. He speaks simply and clearly and gives instruction on how to do each exercise before starting so you don’t have to be concerned about not knowing what you are doing. He will then walk around and make sure to pay attention to everyone’s form to make sure you are not only maximizing each excercise but also to make sure you don’t hurt yourself. He also always has what he calls a regression option which is an option to the exercise which may be a step down on the difficulty level. The classes are always upbeat with great music playing and everyone has an attitude of «we are all in this together». As for my results… in 4 months of not always making the best meal choices and quite often not making 3 classes a week I currently weigh in at 234 and have defined muscle tone where I haven’t seen it in years. These results fire me up to just be more committed and can’t wait to see the results in another 4 months.

Never would I have ever thought that I would be a morning person but 7 weeks into the 9 week challenge I’m feeling great and up early getting things accomplished even on days I could sleep in. Thanks Tyler for all your hard work and pushing us to be OUR best!

I have been attending Pride Fitness Performance since it opened. In the time I have been taking classes I have found head performance coach, founder and owner Tyler Tinker to be exceptional at what he does. He and the other performance coach, Dane Martin are extremely professional and their passion for what they do shines through in each class and every interaction with their clients. There is something for everyone at Pride Fitness Performance from boot camp style classes(pride fit group training) to yoga to help you work on your mobility(Yoga Corr), even classes where you can work on olympic lifting and powerlifting skills(Muscle Hour). You don’t have to be super fit or a natural athlete to benefit from the program. All you need to do is try your best and trust the process, your coaches genuinely care and want you to succeed. The people there are some of the most supportive, inspiring people you will ever meet.

I’ve attended pride fit classes, yoga core, and I’ve had personal training sessions with Tyler Tinker — the owner of the gym. I love the bootcamp style classes(pride fit) because of the people. It’s such a great community and everyone pushes and encourages each other. If you’re looking to get back into shape, meet inspiring people, or want to improve your Olympic lifting form, this is the place for you!
