Only thing saving this from getting one star are the Mozzarella sticks, which were delicious. However, our hot dogs should have been just like the ones those two wisecrackers in the commercials eat. No, these New York dogs that we ordered were sitting in soggy, wet buns as if they were dunked in water before placed in their containers. They literally fell apart while we ate them. When bringing this to the server’s attention, we got a ‘eh. sorry bout that. They steam the buns so that’s how they look after they’ve been sitting a while’ Okay, so you’re basically saying ‘sorry about your luck, and it sucks to be you’ Still hungry, I turned around and ordered a sonic cheeseburger. I said very little mustard, mayo, and ketchup. When I got it, the said condiments were gushing from all parts of the burger overpowering the patty and leaving an acidic aftertaste in my mouth. The soft drinks were about 80% ice. It took me seconds to finish my ice tea from a medium sized cup until the straw started sputtering on nothing under a thick pile of ice. I’ve never had a bad experience with Sonic in Wichita, and it’s my guess that 95% of all of your fast food joints in Derby have teenagers that do things half-a## when it comes to the preparation and/or serving of food.

Its a paper thin greaseburger, usually dripping through the paper it’s wrapped in. It’s iconic of the 1950’s and I will entertain myself to eat there every few years, but it’s not worth much more than that.

I would love to say something good about this franchise, but since having a family member work here for 3 weeks without pay just a «checks in the mail» lame excuse, I can not. Maybe if they compensated their employees accurately and timely the service would improve. Pathetic scum runs this one.

Gotta love Sonic happy hour. Vanilla Dr. Pepper with 3 real cherries or a diet cranberry limeade with extra cranberry is how I Sonic.
