I moved to Des Moines from San Francisco where there’s basically a yoga studio on every block that range in class type, heat, feelings, or whatever else you can imagine. I moved to Iowa assuming my yoga options would be less but didn’t realize that mainstream yoga really hasn’t hit Des Moines yet, which is GREAT because it allowed Adamantine to be created! My first yoga studio experience in DSM was at the most well known and sort of corporate place. It was fine. Nothing special. I wasn’t impressed at all and was ready to drop my dream of continuing a regular yoga practice until I found Adamantine. Don’t get me wrong here, I was a little skeptical of the idea of self-guided practice. I mean, what does that even entail? It’s really incredible though. James Miller has crafted a practice that allows my generally hectic and stressful mornings to have a semblance of routine and has taught me more about yoga in 2 months than I learned in a year of traditional studio practice. He combines the principals of yoga and challenging postures into a sequence that literally works for EVERYONE. Whether you’ve done yoga in the past or are a self proclaimed yogi, his practice will strengthen your body, teach you to breath, and allow you see improvement daily. What could be better?! Give it a try. I bet you’ll fall in love.
