I needed a mid-morning snack, so I stopped by Bruegger’s Bagels in downtown and got myself an Asiago Parmesan bagel to go. I got there around 10am, so there wasn’t a line, but I’ve been there around lunch time and the line could be 10 people deep, so plan accordingly if you go. The bagel I got was warmed up, so it kind of melted the cream cheese a bit, which I didn’t mind at all. The bagel wasn’t dry and was flavorful. The burnt on cheeses added additional flavors to the bagel as well. They have other items such as salads, sandwiches, and coffee. Overall, I enjoyed the bagel that I got. It was tasty, moist and the service was fast, so I have no complaints.

I love Bruegger’s Bagels! It’s probably my favorite to-go breakfast option. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I used to go to Bruegger’s all the time. Unfortunately, at some point all the locations of Bruegger’s closed in IL! I thought they were gone for good. When I moved to Iowa City and later Des Moines, I was so excited to see Bruegger’s was still alive! My favorite part of Bruegger’s is their light herb garlic cream cheese. I have tried all different kinds of cream cheeses even other garlic ones, but in my opinion, this one is the best! I used to always get the Leonardo de Veggie sandwich, but now I get the Herby Turkey. Naturally, both sandwiches have the light herb garlic cream cheese but the Leo is the veggie option(not vegan). They do have humus for all of you vegans out there. They also sell their own cream cheese pre-packaged in tubs. Sometimes, I buy a light herb garlic tub and a few extra bagels. Also, they have tons of bagel options! I really like the Asiago Parmesan. This location in the Kaleidoscope is pretty good. The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is a little tricky to get to given the construction at 7th and Walnut. For me, the best way to get to the store from the street is to park on 6th and Walnut, enter from the street using the doors by the Burger King, go up the stairs, and head west. Always a great choice for breakfast on the go!

Looking for something good to eat for breakfast, after a few days of continental breakfast at the Marriott, I need to try something else. The place was really clean and the ladies who helped me were nice. I asked for iced chai tea and got a hot one, but it was ok coz I just asked for some ice and pours it in. I got the sriracha egg sandwich and it was pretty good.

Bruegger’s Bagels in the Skywalk, is a deliciously good stop for a bagel or sandwich! They also have soup! I don’t get bagel very often but I do love Bruegger’s 12 grain bagel! I liked to get it with hummus and veggies as a sandwhich or peanut butter and jam! I dig it toasted so the Peanut butter melts a little and oozes out of the bagel! That about all i have ever eaten here, cause it’s great! This location does not have a bathroom, since it’s in the skywalk so you might need to walk a bit to get all that peanut butter off your hands after it oozes out of the bagel! Limited skywalk hours, but nice service and an A-ok way to start your day!

I love going in for coffee and my bagel first thing in the morning here. The people that are working there are super friendly and are typically always perky. When you are in a hurry, it doesn’t take 20 minutes to get your items either which is wonderful since I am usually behind schedule first thing in the morning. Love coming here.
