Granny’s Sweet Freeze

If you’re on the East side, you simply must try this adorable and tasty mom-​and-​pop ice cream shoppe ~ just plan on additional visits, because you’ll want to try all their delicious varieties!

Granny’s is one of the best ice cream places I’ve ever been to. The only other one that I like as well is in Saint Pete Beach, Florida and that’s just too far to drive when I want ice cream! Their prices are really fair and portions are large!

Charm. This place has it. It’s definitely a roadside ice cream stand, but it’s colorful and fun. They have so many flavors of dipped cones, and also offer shaved ice and a variety of ice cream delights. They’re really easy on the pocketbook, and their ice cream is awesome.

I love going to a real ice cream shop nowadays especially after the fro-​yo craze with all these chain fro-​yo places popping up everywhere. Nothing beats the taste of good old classic ice cream. This place I heard has been here for a while and I never noticed it, it is difficult to miss if you do not know where it is. Although it is on a main busy street, it just doesn’t stand out to drivers in traffic.
This is kind of like a classic ice cream shop, you stand outside and order the ice cream from the staff members who are inside the shop, which is more like a large booth than a shop. Parking is definitely limited, there are a few spots in front of the shop, but you may have to resort to parking in a random spot and walking up.
Granny’s offers a great variety of ice cream products and flavors! We were a bit overwhelmed with all the options, but it wasn’t too busy so we were able to take our time to look over everything. We got the Oreo Arctic mix and a Butterscotch dipped cone! These tasted awesome! We both got a medium size and both had difficultly finishing it. If you get a small size I guarantee you will be satisfied.
They do accept cards now (minimum $ 5) which is nice! The staff members are very friendly! We ate in the car and in those 10 minutes there was a non-​stop flurry of customers constantly; business is good!

Such a cute place! So many flavors! I got the swirled cone and it was delicious, can’t wait to stop by in the summer.

This place is my favorite spot to take my kids for a treat. They always have vanilla & chocolate plus a flavor of the day. Don’t take your visa card as they only take CASH.
