Boy, I been to many different salons and barbershops from Kent to Seattle. And I think I can say I’ve found my «personal barber.» I made a last minute call to see if they had any open slots for me to come in. Jeff said they were pretty full but since it would be my first time there, he wanted to squeeze me in towards the end of the night. When I showed up, Jeff greeted me and start to ask how I usually style my hair. He did a great job paying great attention to how he wanted to get it right. We maintain conversation throughout the cut. Very cool guy and he will do what it takes to get you your cut the way you want.

new ownership sent me message saying they underwent new staff and offered a no charge service. don’t think I’ll take him up on the offer since i found the best haircut barber ever already but I’ll give him 4 stars as it shows he’s willing to make things right

I enjoy bringing my son here! Sometimes we can walk in and get done other times we make appointments. I’ve never had a problem waiting when making an appointment. Even on walk-in times they get us done pretty fast. My son has an easy cut just a fade… But they make sure it’s perfect. He has lighter hair so it can become crocked if cut wrong. I’ve been taking my son here monthly for over a year now and I have no complaints!

Update: The owner has contacted us and confronted the situation. He made it very clear that the stylist fell short of expectation on this occasion, and that it wasn’t a reflection on the salon. I really appreciate his friendly, professional attitude, and we will be going back. Our previous review: My girlfriend took her adopted sister(12 years old) to this salon because one of the ladies who worked there made bold claims about being able to work wonders with African hair. Her adopted sister is Eritrean and definitely needed a skilled hand. Instead what she got was someone who kind of just hacked away at the hair, poured on relaxer with no blow dry and stuck it in a pony tail because her ride showed up. Then asked for $ 60. Not knowing anything about the procedure for African hair, she paid. After leaving she realized that something might not have been right about that. She took her to another salon, and asked about it. They were aghast that the stylist hadn’t done any styling. They took the 12 year old in, blowdryed, cut and styled her hair all for $ 30. The difference was incredible, and it was obvious that the woman at Kingdom Kutz was just more interested in getting home early than in finishing a work in progress.

It’s been a bit difficult for me to decide what to write about this place. I had an appointment for my son, and I have been trying to find a good place that he can go to on a weekly schedule. Since I live pretty close I believed that this would be an ideal location for us. Wellllllll, I was pretty much wrong. Even though we scheduled for 230, my son ddin’t get seen until 330. I had a prior arrangement for later but their lack of staying on the correct time hindered me from being able to get to my location on time. I still left a decent tip, but I will not be going back. I also don’t appreciate people’s religion being forced upon myself or my son. That was the drawing line for me.

I was here sometime last month. Finally I found a good barbershop in South King County. Now for me finding a good barber is VERYHARD. ESPECIALLYINSOUTHKINGCOUNTY. For one I’m picky when it comes to getting my hair cut, & two I have very high standards as to what it should look like. I usually end up having to drive all the way to North Seattle to find someone that can cut to my standards. So these boys here are definitely much appreciated. There’s three main barbers. Dean(the owner), Mike J, & Mike O. All three are on point with their cuts, & do it in a professional manner too. They can give you what you want, how you want it, & knock it out the park. I had got a skin fade cute & felt like a million bucks afterwards. You will too. No lie. The shop is a little small, but don’t concern yourself with that. Concern yourself on what gets delivered, & to be honest with you what gets delivered to you is a superior cut. I’ll be back.
