I headed to the kaleidoscope food court for lunch today and the only place that didn’t have a line was at Maid Rite, so I decided to eat there since it’s been years. I ordered the original Maid Rite basket, which came with fries and a drink. The cost was around $ 7.50, which I thought was a tad high for a loose meat sandwich. The sandwich was actually a lot more flavorful than I expected. It wasn’t dry at all, and the pickles and onions added additional flavors. The fries were pretty basic… not too thin or thick. They didn’t come with any salt, so I was a little disappointed with that. I’m giving this place 3 stars since to me it seems a little pricey for the meal that I got and also it took forever to get my food. There was one person that ordered in front of me and I got my food before him. He didn’t seem very happy when that happened. It probably took over 10 min for my food to come out. Next time I’ll probably rethink about eating here if the lines are long at other establishments in the food court.

After hearing there were some changes made at this location, I decided to give it a shot. The maid rite was perfect… great flavor and perfect level of juiciness. The fries were a great side option. The only complaint I have is the amount of time it took to get my food(around 15 minutes). There was a good size line ahead of me so I expected a wait. I noticed there were only 2 people working which hardly seems adequate to handle a busy lunch crowd. If management would add additional staff, I could easily give this place 5 stars.

This is a classic loose meat original since 1926 they say. They serve up ground up meat sandwiches with your choice of toppings, piping hot fries and drink. Lots of flavors to choose from.
