QuikTrip

I prefer QT over other gas stations in Des Moines as it is always clean and safe environment with lots of merchandise options.
For the past year or so, the QT on Ingersoll has had inconsistent customer service. The regular employees I usually see working are always apathetic and more interested in continuing workplace gossip while ringing up my purchase. Most times, they dont even acknowledge my presence. They just grab my product, scan it, and tell me the total.
I dont need the clerks to be my friend, but their actions seem to make me feel like I’m intruding on their «work».
The nice employees are the ones I don’t see on a regular basis (most likely fill ins for the regular clerks). Unfortunately, the nice employees are few and far between.
It’s strange, because I never experience rude associates at other QuikTrips in the Des Moines area. I wonder why there are so many indifferent associates/​clerks at the QT on Ingersoll.
It sucks cuz I live a block away from this QuikTrip. It’s conveniently located for me. Hopefully, they get a new rotation of staff so I don’t feel like I’m bothering anybody by purchasing merchandise at their store.
UPDATE12/​22/​2014:
So for the past month, I’ve gone to the Ingersoll QT at various times throughout the day and night. It appears the weekday daytime crew is the culprit of poor service. The night and weekend crews are really nice and patient.
UPDATE 3÷16÷2015:
The current employees have improved significantly. I have no complaints. (Although, the one young, female employee/​clerk who constantly looks annoyed is still there occasionally, I’m guessing she goes to school cuz I rarely see her. If I do, it’s on the evenings.)

I miss Iowa and QuickTrip. You have to live in other states to fully appreciate how polished, clean and quick QuickTrip is. The center cashier island where an associate greets everyone who enters the store and quickly rings up your purchase is awesome. I purchased a 7up for a much hungover-​ed family member on a recent Sunday morning.
STORY TIME: When I was in advertising we had Polly and Maxwell from 93.3(?) shoot a gas promotion photo here. Maxwell accidentally spilled gasoline down the front of his shirt. We left it in the ad.

QT and Caseys are my go to gas stations and convenient stores in the state of Iowa. The QTs I’ve been to in the state have all been clean, safe, and easy. They have hot food ready or ready to microwave. Their drink prices are very good. This location is no different than the other ones I’ve been to and I’ve been to many in town. Their staff are all friendly at all locations, they have a good hiring or training process I guess

QuickTrip’s are by far my favorite gas station in the country! They have the best coffee, they have lots of healthy snack options, they carry beers, and the stores are always clean!
The staffs at these stores are always very polite too, whether your walking in at 3 am or 3pm. They always say hello and welcome to QuickTrip. I dig that! I can’t really say I have ever had a bad experience at a QuickTrip! Keep up the good work!

Okay, you’re saying why would I review QT? Because I am a fan, of course. The staff there are friendly and FAST… they know we are there because we need to pick up something QUICK. The store has a pretty surprising variety of foods, and damn… some are even healthy for you. You can buy fresh fruit and frankly, surprisingly good sandwiches. I especially like the turkey or sliced chicken sandwiches on whole wheat. They are low calorie and damn fresh. Okay… there is a lot of crap there too, lots of chips and pop and sweet stuff, but they want to please everyone. Besides, where else can you find 3 construction workers, a street person, 2 doctors and a judge in the same shop at the same time?
