Let me just start by saying, I love this taco truck, as does my best friend/roommate. When we want tacos on the Drake side, this is our default choice. The service is always fast, the tacos are inexpensive, and they are absolutely delicious. They are never out of anything when we visit. My roommate loves lengua and cabeza, and many taco trucks run out of these more exotic meat choices as the day wears on. Not so for this truck in my experience. They are awesome, inexpensive, and most importantly, delicious!!! Highly recommended if you are a fan of traditional Mexican tacos, especially if you love having reliable access to cabeza and lengua in your tacos. Great stuff!

The art of the taco. This place should write a book. Tried the asada, cabeza and tongue tacos and there was very little left on the plate after I devoured them. It’s been some time since I’ve had real Mexican food, and it was a breath of fresh air. Delicious vegetarian option you might ask? Yes. Gigantic rice and bean and avacado and cheese tacos that do not fail to delight. Yes, this is past 24th street so although you’ve been told not to stray this far, go. Nobody will bite you. Mostly populated with Spanish speaking laborers, but while we were there we also saw two gentlemen arguing about religion, a sorority girl from Drake and everyone got along just fine. It’s community seating, so you’ll have to share the salsa with your neighbors. It was nice to hear a little Spanish. Can’t wait to go back.

I’m Mexican a la madre and very picky when it comes to flavor and authenticity. Perhaps many are looking for tacos like the ones Taco Bell or Taco John’s give you. Those are not authentic and that’s not what you are going to find here. Mexican tacos are small but they pack flavor. The only Americanized food you’ll find here is their burrito. Otherwise, it’s all authentic. I highly recommend the asada tacos. If you are into tongue and tripe, my mom says this is the best. I haven’t tried their horchata water but they have sodas. Oh yes, bring cash.

This taco truck is pretty much on the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parts on 19th and University. It looks pretty sketch sometimes, but it draws quite a crowd! They set up picnic benches so we can enjoy the weather and eat! As for their menu, it’s pretty simple. They have tacos for $ 1.50 and burritos and quesadillas for $ 6.00. Their tacos are pretty small, so I would recommend getting two. On the other hand, their burritos are huge! So, I would recommend splitting that. Although it still wasn’t too filling… Choices of meat include beef steak, pork, lengua(cow tounge), and something else. Their food isn’t as good and authentic as I hoped. I was hoping there would be more flavor, but it was really quite bland. I suppose it was a good experience though! I’ve been wanting to go. CASHONLY
