This company was recommended by a friend. They drove up in a pickup, with two guys riding in the back. I talked to them a bit and showed them the trees I needed trimmed. They seemed like nice people. He gave me a really low estimate. They went to work. I saw how much work they were doing and that they were doing a good job. Then they asked for some money for the dump. It cost 10.00 a trip. He wound up making 18 trips to the dump. I quickly saw that it was going to cost more. I gave them 180.00 in all for the dump. He made the comment that he wanted his guys to at least get 100.00 apiece for their work. I agreed, because they did work hard. So I figured 180.00 for the dump and 400.00 for the work, so 580.00, right? Wrong. He came around after he was all done and said, he he needed 180.00 for the dump, 75.00 for his business and the guys decided they needed 150.00 each, oh and yeah, we had to pay for his gas. So a job that he estimated at 325.00, turned out costing 975.00. I believe this is his method of estimating, estimate real low and get the job and then add on, add on. I wouldn’t of had them do the job, if I had known it was going to be so much. This is a lesson to get things in writing and deal with reputable people. Fortunately he did good work. It would have been much better, if he had been honest with me from the beginning. If you use this tree service, plan on paying triple what he tells you in the estimate. I will avoid them from now on and be much more careful, with who I deal with. My recommendation is to AVOIDTHEM. I am not going to mention Arnie Delgado’s(The Owner) name. He likes to get paid in cash, so he doesn’t have to pay taxes.
