nice selection of popular items in the area for miles around at fair prices! Great helpful staff! cant get better people helping you out!(is she the owner?) excellent fair prices for a retail place good quality for everyday beads, dont expect gemstones at these prices I buy lots of beads off the internet, but this place is just as good and fair prices, and I get to see touch, feel, and choose the strand I am buying not the net. Dont even try to compare to big box stores, this place is service, experience, suggestions, hints & tips and a big variety to choose from that the big stores DONOT have. I once mentioned that my knotted stringing work does not come out even, and they gave me a mini«how to» advice to help me out. Cant get that personal advice from the big box stores ever! Just have patience when shopping here cause it can get busy at times! Not overly long wait and well worth it, but it is best to keep the staff count as is, to prevent the prices from going up to support another worker.

Bodacious Beads has some of the best selection of Beads, for a novice or an experienced beader artist, you will find the missing link. Yeah I agree the way of collecting beads in tins, writing down the prices etc… is a bit cumbersome but it is just a little inconvenient to get what you need. They always seem to have some of the most unique and diverse beads in fact it can be quite overwhelming but I always find something I can buy. It really never bothered me that they let me shop around without bothering me. Hey, I’m the creative artist who needs to work out the designs in my head, but for some people I guess that is a problem. I don’t live in the area anymore and miss Bodacious Beads terribly. I haven’t found anyone like them in Colorado. Guess I will just have wait to shop there when I come home for the Holidays!

Always helpful — especially if you ask, really decent pricing, super-fantastic selection and they never pressure you or make you feel like you aren’t spending enough money. I am usually working on very small projects and often spend under $ 5.00 — no problems. Their method of shopping — pen, pad, tin — is what I often see in other bead stores so it’s not unusual. I’ve been to a lot of bead stores and none come close to covering all beading materials — basic stuff to one of a kind — like Bodacious Beads. Truly one-stop-shopping for beading!

The bad reviews really scared me but I went there yesterday and I thought it was a very nice store. They had many beads that you just can’t get at Michaels and I thought the prices were very reasonable. I suppose online beads might be a bit cheaper but I prefer to see and feel the beads before buying them and I like to support small businesses! All the strands of beads were labeled and priced but you do have to put loose beads in muffin tins and write down the prices — not really a big deal. The service was very friendly and I heard them giving a lot of advice to another lady in the store. The parking lot was a little confusing. Just come into it from the North entrance not the South like I did and you will be facing the correct way. I will definitely shop there again!

Wonderful customer service… Have learned more from Judy and her staff than i have in classes. If you go on any day other than Sat when it is very busy, they will spend a great deal of time giving great advice on projects. So much stock it is hard to take it all in. Never a hassle with exchange or once when i had to return something.

A delightful store with almost too much to take in. Huge selection of czech glass beads on the back wall for $ 3.50 a hank(12 strands.) Not sure if that’s overpriced or cheap — but seemed pretty well priced to me. Lots of sparkly Sworovski crystals and other delightful strands. If you are looking for charms and things, not so much — this is a Serious Bead Place.(Pro tip: take a pad and pen when you come in to mark down your purchases.)

this is in my old hometown and I visit whenever I get back. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Of course the prices are higher than bead shows or online vendors… they have mortar/bricks/insurance/etc to factor in. The upside is you see what you are buying in person… also, the staff has often suggested new construction methods. Sorry that the cute little papercraft/rubber stamp store is no longer next door. Another lesson to SUPPORTSMALLBUSINESSES! If you are business yourself be sure to bring your tax papers so they can put you on file so you can save on sales tax. Enjoy, I always do

Bodacious Beads is the bead best store I’ve visited! Not only do they have treasures in every corner, but the sales people are incredible. They are anxious to help with out being overbearing. They’re happy to consult and share their tricks of the trade.

I will be coming here instead of chain craft stores for any beads I require for craft projects henceforth. The selection is better and more varied, and they have items here that you will not find in most stores. Yes, the online bead emporiums do sell those unusual beads, and they may have them a little cheaper, but you don’t have to pay any shipping to come here, and you can visually compare the colors of the beads you want next to one another without worrying that there might be a mismatch because of your computer monitor settings or the lighting used in the web site photograph. The setup of the store is a little odd, and some of the organization doesn’t’ make sense to me. You can take a small pencil(like at Ikea) at the door along with a muffin tin to keep track of bead prices. Some of the beads were missing price stickers on my visit, but this was a small minority of the stock. I found the staff very friendly, but when I asked about how one goes about learning the basics of beading(I don’t make jewelry but was very curious when I saw a few beads I liked that wouldn’t work for my project), I didn’t get a very good answer. The woman I spoke with was similarly vague about what materials I would need, which was surprising since I was defensively preparing for a sales onslaught and getting ready to say no to a long list of beading supplies I thought she would try to sell me. In short, if you are a beading novice and looking for tutorials, this isn’t your shop for anything beyond supplies. In your case, the chain craft stores will probably have a list of classes you might try. I also dislike the parking arrangement at the strip mall where this shop is located. That isn’t really the fault of the shop, but I thought I’d note it. People pulling into the lot too quickly almost hit, and maybe sometimes do hit, the diagonally-parked cars in the lot way too often. I am considering parking in the nearby residential area instead on my next visit and walking around the corner rather than using their lot. One thing I did like quite a bit was the lack of pressure here. I spent about 45 minutes browsing here and ended up leaving with less than $ 5 of merchandise, but nobody rushed me or seemed to want me out of there. Nobody gave me attitude for«only» buying what I did. When I was offered help, I said up front that I only wanted a few very specific things, so they knew from the get go I was not planning to bead a Swarovski crystal tiara or a jade bead necklace. I was still given the same level of service as the people buying things for large jewelry projects. Since I have been made to feel like«small potatoes» at shops were I only made a small purchase before, I appreciated that the staff was not pushy with me and offered me help again later despite knowing I was not going to break the bank there. Do note, however, that much of the staff is comprised of senior citizens, or at least older adults. One man there on my last visit had a bit of a Clint Eastwood air about him. He was never rude, but he seemed like your typical grumpy old man. Don’t take it personally, and let the ladies who work there take care of you – you’ll probably have a perfectly good experience and find better beads than at chain competitors.

This is a great bead store to go to if you already have an idea of what you’re looking for. They have lots and lots to choose from at really great prices. I would say almost as good as what you’d find at wholesale bead websites, minus the shipping costs! Some other reviewers mentioned poor customer service. There are a couple unhelpful employees, but I don’t think they’re being unfriendly on purpose or trying to discriminate. I’m a young blonde and I still have to write down prices for them. Give them a try! You’ll be very pleased with their selecion, and save money!

One of the best selections of beads in the area, best prices too. This is first spot I check when looking for something unique. If you know anything about real bead shops, you know they all have their own quirky pricing systems. BB’s is a pad of paper and tray you pickup at the door and if something is not tagged you write it down. Since they usually tell you this as you walk in, there’s NO excuse for complaining that THEY don’t know the price of something. It’d be humanly impossible for them to recognize every individual piece with the thousands of beads, findings, charms and pendants they carry. And unlike the big box stores, you CAN buy just one bead :). I like that they leave me in peace to browse and touch anything my heart desires — hate it when salespeople keep bugging me. In a bead shop, like a bookstore, I’ll know what I want when I see it.

These ladies REALLY need to sharpen their customer service skills… I dont know if its because we are black or because my daughter has developmental disabilites, but before we walked in the door,(could see in the large windows), the fat lady with brown hair was looking at us as if she didnt want us to come in. We were not offered a bit of help or asked what we were looking for, only given instructions on pricing. The bead selection was OK but not great, and that paired with the uncomfortable feeling I had throughout my visit means I didnt spend a dime there and I wont be back. I refuse to support a business that makes customers feel like I did on my visit there. I am in retail myself, and if I made my customers feel unwelcomed in my store I would probably be fired. I cant believe I drove so far for me and my daughter to be treated so badly. Unacceptable!

They seem to have a decent selection of lampwork and glass beads. However, most of their charms and small selection of other metal findings are made of cheap materials… the kind that would turn your skin green. Not much there in the way of real brass or copper. Prices were okay, but you can find much better deals online. The customer service was quite bad, and this is what would keep me from going back. I asked if they had something specific and was told, «Everything we have is on the floor.» No offer to assist me in finding it amongst the gazillion pieces in stock. When it came to checking out, I was asked how much the pieces were. Huh? You work here, not me. When I didn’t know how much something was, I asked her to leave them out of the total because I didn’t want them. Then she walked away from the counter and said, «I have to find out where to put these back.» She could have done her re-stocking after ringing me up. There was also some weird old guy that works there that kept following me and watching me. This is why some small business suck. The store owners think it’s all about them, and they forget to treat the customer well.

I used to go here when it opened many years ago. I was in High School. My grandmother lives of of Tuohy about .5 mile away. I used to walk there and stare at stuff for so long. I hadn’t been back in about 5 years until this past week. I almost started crying. I now like more semi-precious stones– which they don’t have a huge selection. However, they have such good prices and cool tribal stuff. For any serious bead lover you need to take the trip and stop in. Trust me!!!
