The atmosphere is here. Great private dining experience. Good food, great service. I would recommend.

First off, I didn’t expect this place to be themed almost as much as a restaurant in Disney World so that it really looks like cave walls and ceiling in the dining room. I mean… it was a good strip steak, but I’m not sure it was a $ 40 strip steak. This place feels like it should be listed as four dollar signs, even though you can get away with wearing jeans inside this cave. Fortunately we had a buy one, get one coupon or this place would have been outrageous. We also ordered the evening’s special, so at least it came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Otherwise, everything is a la carte. This means we sat and ate bread until our steaks came out. I also ordered a Coke that wasn’t refilled even once in the nearly two hours that we were there. I came here for a wedding reception earlier this year, and it was much better, because I still got the good food but gave the money to my friends. TL;DR Good food, but too expensive.

We had our wedding here on December 4th and it was absolutely amazing. 4 months later, our guests are still talking about it. Everything went perfectly as planned. Randy’s staff went above and beyond making sure our guests and my husband and I were well fed and having a great time. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, we couldn’t have picked a better place! Wish we could re-live that day again. Thank you Randy for making our wedding day everything we could of ever dreamed of!

We go here for special occasions and it’s always perfect. I always get the steak diana and he gets the chicken with capers. We enjoy the banana foster which is cooked table side and its better than the original ive tried in new orleans. The older gentleman that makes it has a special touch. The service is empecable. We also got married here because the food is exceptional and not banquet — like at all. They even have their own wedding planner. If I could give this place more stars I would.

Went here with friends, I have never been and they love the place. It was an interesting experience, nothing horrible but not exactly my cup of tea. The outside is glamorous, which totally does not match with its surroundings. An empty muddy field and a car wash? I’m sure it existed before all that but it was interesting driving up to Café La Cave. Side note; their sign is super hard to read, I actually drove past it because I couldn’t read the sign so just look for the fancy building with the pretty lit up sign. There is valet parking and a coat check. Make no mistake, your eating fancy tonight! Put on a dress, suit and tie or at least don’t wear your jammy’s. You’ll stick out like a sore thumb, everyone is in their finery and such. Which is great! I personally love getting dolled up and feeling fine but just be aware. The food was ok, not worth the prices I felt and definitely not vegan/vegetarian or lactose intolerant friendly but sadly these smaller places usually aren’t. Our waiter was good but then we had a second waiter who just brought out all out food(courses of course) and he wasn’t amazingly on the ball. Did not understand I couldn’t have a cream based salad dressing and such but it happens. They did come cook some of our food table side, which is rare and was fun to watch. The interior of the restaurant is fun, every surface made to imitate a cave. All in all, it was fun but I don’t think I would go there on my own.

I am NEVER disappointed when I dine here. Café la cave focuses on quality service and quality food. I used this establishment as a venue for my wedding in 2009, and I have been in love since. Their Dover sole and lobster bisque are like no other. Their rooms are romantic and intimate– perfect for a date night or double date. Their service is what one would expect of experienced professionals in this business. I also love their holiday events such as Easter or Mother’s Day brunch. I would encourage you to give them a try! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Great place for dinner or a banquet. Steaks or fish you cannot go wrong here! Karl is an excellent bartender who fixes up the best martinis. Randy is a true professional when it comes to organizing weddings, to every last detail. They have a side banquet room for smaller more intimate parties with nice natural light from the windows. I enjoy coming here anytime I’m at Allstate arena or near by!

Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out on a friends recommendation/Groupon, gotta start off by saying this was an interesting experience. This restaurant is part of a banquet hall. I was confused at first but once you go in from the front you’ll see the place straight ahead. When walking in the décor is the first thing that catches your eye, and I guess the goal here is to feel like you’re walking into a cave(its in the name). It took some getting used to. My thanks goes out to Groupon because this place was pricey. However, I didn’t find the taste of the food to match the price. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t finger lickin’ good either. I would recommend this place but to people who don’t go out often and aren’t super picky. Just a side note however; I wish I tried their famous banana split! I heard if you have a sweet tooth this is the local place to go!!!

I am honestly flabbergasted at how this place has only 3.5 stars! We had our Wedding Reception at Café La Cave on December 5th — and it was truly an amazing experience all because of the wonderful staff at Café La Cave. The Wedding Coordination staff is honestly the best in the business. Randy, who is a Bride’s gift from God, is a genius. Any questions we had, or anytime we wanted to meet with him, Randy was willing and accommodating. He helped us with any concerns, and really made us feel like he was here for us — not just because he was being paid to be. Randy knows what he’s doing! He mentioned to my husband and I a new layout to the wedding reception, and both my husband and I were skeptical. We had a large party of 265 – 275 people and we were concerned it would ruin the flow of the wedding. But Randy assured us that this was the way to go, he said, «Most Wedding Coordinators just say ‘You’re, the bride, if this is what you want then okay’ but I can’t do that! I have only one shot to make your wedding the absolute best and I have to tell you, this is the way to do it!» We decided to trust him and we don’t regret it for a minute! Our wedding is still the talk of both families and all of our friends and it was such an unbelievable night. Carrie — where do I start with wonderful Carrie?! She was such a delight to work with on every level of our wedding. She decorated the reception hall like something out of a dream, and absolutely blew us away! I can’t say enough on how amazing this staff is. The Venue, is gorgeous! We came in the week before our wedding to finalize last minute details, and to our disappointment we found that they hadn’t decorated for Christmas. We were again disappointment that we wouldn’t have the décor up for our Winter Wedding, but we figured it wouldn’t matter in the end. We came in on the day of our reception, and they had all the Christmas décor up! Lights, garland, poinsettias, and their beautiful tree — it was stunning! The food is sensation! Every course was delicious — the appetizers were flowing all throughout cocktail hour, no one was seen looking around for the next waiter(they were always around!); The first and second courses were something out of a culinary magazine — lobster bisque and a refreshing cucumber salad; and the entrees were to die for! People are still telling me how amazing their filets were. I absolutely love this place and the people! It is worth all its weight in gold.

Once again, spectacular service… U are treated so well when you dine here. Gilberto is a super nice and informative waiter. Food is excellent. Oysters Rockefeller were incredible, super tasty. The chateaubriand was incredible. The waiters serving you table side is a huge plus. They are very attentive… Very classy. We will come back many times.

Company party here recently + Staff are great to work with, friendly, and provided great service. A lady even offered to take our group photo. It’s that extra mile for the customer that they did that impressed me. + We did not feel hurried while eating our meal. Some venues similar to Café La Cave often have staff who take your plate away even if you’re not done eating yet. Staff here were not like that at all. Our server chatted with us and also made sure to fold napkins of those who left the table for a quick washroom run. When they came back, napkins were back on the table, beautifully refolded. + Food was DELICIOUS! We had bread, soup, salad, a choice between chicken or beef entrees, and a type of chocolate cake dessert. DELICIOUS! + They have a bar + They have a restaurant also + Free parking lot — The only weakness/challenge: poor ambiance Currently, road and hotel construction in front of the venue kills the beauty of the building when you look from the outside. Further, the land beside it is an empty/muddy field. Not too romantic. As soon as you step inside, there is that weird smell to the place. I am not sure if it is sulfur, sewer smell, or construction water smell? I am not sure but it did smell weird in there. The inside looks a bit like«1980’s glamorous». Not exactly my cup of tea but if it works for you, well and good.

I attended a wedding reception at Café La Cave and was impressed at how nice everything was. I can’t say that I remember too many details from the night but I do remember the staff being very friendly, the food being better than standard wedding fare, and the bathrooms to be very clean. I can’t comment on how they are as a restaurant but they do put on a great reception.

Our wedding reception was PERFECT! You guys have exceeded our expectations in every single way! We could not have asked for a more extravagant venue for our special day. I don’t have the words to explain how wonderful everything was. The service our guests received was incredible. The food was DELICIOUS! We cannot wait until another event. Randy, Carrie & the whole staff at Café La Cave — together with our parents, we would like to THANKYOU for all you have done for us. L & S 10.17.15

Made a reservation for dinner and asked about a dress code since the place seemed a bit on the fancy side(was told business casual but got there and people were in jeans and a t-shirts). The guy answering the phone was a bit gruff, but reservation set and got there on time. The setting is pretty cozy and the lighting matches, but it also feels a bit claustrophobic. The only negative I would really give is the table-side cooking. It’s cool to watch your steak being grilled next to your table and the huge bursts of fire are amusing but as a person who didn’t order it, I don’t really want to smell like I just walked away from an outdoor grill. Ordered the chicken mushroom risotto and a crème brûlée. The risotto was outstanding and the portion was huge. Risotto tends to be dense so you can eat a small amount and still be stuffed. Also the bread and butter they served beforehand was really good. The crème brûlée was ok, nothing special but not bad. Service was excellent. They’re very fast and efficient at keeping your glass full and the table cleared of debris.

Had my daughter’s baptism reception here this past Sunday, 08÷23÷15. (Negative): My mom and I came here for a meeting to talk about the venue and we made a deposit and booked the BABYGRANDBALLROOM Wed, July 8, 2015 for 08÷23÷15 from 2:30 — 7:00pm. Time passes, and I receive a call from Carrie AUGUST9, 2015(OVER a mth after making our deposit) asking if we could push back our reception time because they had double booked that particular room and the other party was going on until 3:30pm. Um, no… invitations had already been sent out right after«securing the room» and making the deposit, and it would have been a big time gap from the end of the actual baptism til the reception(a pet peeve of mine). We got relocated to the La Petit room(yes, very petit indeed). This was VERY disappointing. To go from a huge spacious bright and inviting room to a room a quarter the size of it dark and with no windows 2 wks before our event. WHY wasn’t this caught right after the deposit was made? I concluded it was done on purpose, because that way, we’d have no choice BUT to bite the bullet and have our reception here(invitations had already been sent out & we received about 75% of the rsvps already). Had we known this early, we would have cut our losses, lost our deposit but gone somewhere with a nicer room to offer. When the husband and I came to check out our new La Petit room, there was a bar, but Carrie said the other party only had access to it, but they weren’t having alcohol(ummmm, doesnt make sense-ours was a tally bar and we made them almost $ 700 in liquor sales alone). We were the ones who had to recommended putting up a make shift wall to block off the other non-drinking party from the bar and so our party had access to the bar(common sense). Also, come the day of our party, what happened to our promised silver covered chairs with«bling»(in the words of Carrie)? We got plain brown uncovered chairs. (Positive):(One star) Although Carrie severely disappointed us, in fairness, she WAS timely in responses to her emails. (Two stars) Diego(the server in charge) was absolutely delightful, fantastic, a gentleman, professional, and SO courteous. All the other servers were fantastic and polite as well. The bartender(Roxanne), everyone praised about as well. HE and his co-servers were the only reason why I am able to turn my frown upside down when thinking about having my banquet here. Will we be back to dine here? Probably not. Will we be back for hosting another banquet here? No thank you.(But special thank you Diego, coservers and Roxanne!)

My sister had her wedding reception here. The place is beautiful and elegant. They have a small outside area, which was very nice and comfy. The ladys at the bar where very nice and fun. The apetizers where very yummy. The meal was just amazing! I don’t usually like wedding meals, but the food from this place was over the top. Super delicious! I also loved how professional the staff and the gentleman that did all the intro. Not sure if he was from the banquet. This place is very unique. I loved it! It was such an amazing time.

I took a friend here for her birthday with a groupon. Even with groupon very expensive. I had steak, mashed and asparagus(all ala carte). The potatoes I had one bite of, dibnt like(and they took off the check). The steak was ok– service was good– but nothing spectacular. The cave environment and dim lights would be suited to a romantic dinner but this place was just too pricey for my wallet. I could get as good a steak for half at Longhorn.

Our AMAZING wedding was here this past Valentine’s Day! Everything could not have been any more perfect than it was! When I saw the room before our guests were invited in, it literally took my breath away. The room was absolutely gorgeous! I loved working with Randy. He definitely knows his stuff and made my ideas come to life. He has really great contacts and referred me to the best florist to work with(i had two florists drop my wedding last minute). Randy is worth EVERY penny! He made everything completely stress-free. I didn’t Have to worry about going to the hall the night before my wedding to set up my centerpieces or anything-it was all done for me. The service throughout dinner was excellent! The courses were brought out timely and the empty dishes were removed quickly. The food was delicious and the filets were perfectly cooked! This is definitely not your typical wedding food! All of my guests had a fabulous time. I have received so many compliments on the meal and the ambience of the ballroom. I am still in awe on how beautiful our wedding reception was. The people at café la cave are great people to work with and make wedding planning as stress free as it can possibly be. They gave me my perfect wedding while working within my budget and not putting any pressure on me. You will not be disappointed with this place! I wouldn’t have changed anything about my wedding!
