This is the best car repair and maintenance facility in Northwest Illinois. This coming from a longtime resident who has tried, or heard about, just about all of them!
They have this «fifth sense» about cars that’s almost spiritual. They’re, like, «car whisperers» who can give you reduced cost alternatives to the massive unforeseen and unfunded expenses that the voices in your head are screaming at you!
I have underspent my expectations every single time I have visited these good folks and I have been going here for years. They’ve kept my 2007 Scion Xb, with close to a couple of hundred grand on it, on the road way past its destined mortality. They’ve also put a timing belt on my wife’s Mini Cooper S for half the price of the dealership! They’ve done my son & daughter’s cars and too many friends to count so we all conspire to shout out the truth about theses dudes & dudettes. .. they’re phenomenal!
Try them out. It’s worth the slight risk.

Tom & Pete are some of the best mechanics around. Always there when you need them. Helped me and my Mom out of a couple of binds with car trouble. They’ll let you know what you need done now, and what can wait. Honest service with great prices, and two great mechanics!

Outstanding service and even a better price! I called about new brakes/​rotors and was quoted a fair price and given a time that worked best for me. Great service! Tom and the staff are very friendly. They diagnosed the problem with my car in minutes and took me into the repair area and physically showed me the part that was bad. They fixed my car quickly and at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this shop. Thanks!
