Okay, I’m all for supporting local businesses, so after having passed by this place forever, I decided that I would stop in to get my nails done. First they took off my existing polish, then filed my nails and soaked… all good. After cleaning up my nails in general, I generally expect that I get some lotion and a little hand massage, it’s not a lot but it’s something I look forward to — well it wasn’t a part of my whole experience. As soon as she was done cleaning up my nails, she asked me to pay, «to make it easier on you…» whatever… then she went to polishing, and I’m sorry, she was more concerned with the episode of «America’s Next Top Model» that was on, than my nails. The strokes from the polish were not even, and smooth. Here I am, a week after getting my polish done, andthere are cracks in the polish and you can see where the first coat ended and the second coat was used to fill in. I’m not impressed and won’t go back.

Nail Time is fantastic! Choi keeps her business ultra clean. She keeps the best product. On top of this, her prices are hard to beat as are her service hours. She is open pretty much all the time. Great care is taken to ensure that all manis and pedis are done well. Don’t miss this place!!!

Sucks, do not waste your money. The lady choi that did my nails messed them up and as soon as she saw a person come in she started rushing my nails? I was very disappointed and my nails are seriously so uneven.

I had a very good experience here. The service was great and the environment was very pleasant. I got a no chip manicure and I have absolutely no complaints!

The only reason why I knew this place existed because I saw while stopped at a red light. It’s a new place, set behind the old White Castle in Des plaines, so it’s a little bit hard to find. It’s run by a husband and wife and their young daughter was helping out that day as well. Everything there is brand new and the prices are very reasonable, $ 20.00 for a pedicure and $ 25.00 for no-chip manicure. They have only been there for 3 months, so I felt that they were still getting into the swing of things. Other then that, everyone there was friendly and very attentive and I would go back again.

The end doesn’t justify the means. That’s how I looked at it. I went to nail time the other day thinking I’d try a new nail salon closer to my place. Heck, $ 30 for a mani and pedi, where do I sign up?! Although as mentioned in the first sentence, the mani and pedi turned out fine, the environment in which I got them done was very uncomfortable and nail time is not a salon will I return to or recommend to others. They have a large selection of colors of both Essie and opi with the names written on the front. When I got my pedicure done, it almost seemed as if the older gentleman doing my nails was still trying to figure out the steps to the pedicure. After he wiped my legs with the hot towel he threw it on the floor and proceeded to wipe the floor with the same towel he just used on my legs. Can we say sanitary? Afterwards he took out a couple sheet of paper towels to wipe down my legs. Paper towels? Really? Anyway, pedicure turned out fine but the whole towel and paper towel thing really made me cringe. The manicure was fine except that the owners created these duck tape covered foam blocks which are supposed to serve as a holder for your hands when you get the manicure. Well they weren’t very comfortable and whenever I tried to lift my hand off of the blocks the lady doing my nails kept pushing my hand down on them. Not cool. Manicure was fine but once I was done I went to go dry my nails and the youngest girl(10 – 12 yrs old probably) there proceeds to give am a massage. First off, please don’t touch me unless you are certified and don’t put peppermint oil on my neck unless you ask. It felt so awkward getting massaged by a ten year old. Anyway the whole experience was just bad, especially when the two young girls went to go get ice cream from the back and ate it in the middle of the nail salon while everyone was talking in another language and laughing to whatever they were saying. Very uncomfortable experience overall.
