We order lunch in my office every day. We have tried this place 3 or 4 times. Every time we ask for well done fries.(seems like a simple request) Every time the fries come HALFCOOKED. Not even done! This last time we pointed out that they have failed to cook their fries on our last orders. The person ASSURED us that he would make sure that they were not only cooked, but well done. Again, we got HALFCOOKEDFRIES. Every other restaurant has no problem with this simple request. Now we think its on purpose because we ask for well done. We will NEVER go here for lunch again. If they are doing this on purpose, who knows what else they do to our food!.

Gyro was amazing! This place was very clean and friendly. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door and the food came out fast and hot. Gyro dinner was huge. Order an extra pita because you will need it. Very impressed.

Used to go to this place from time to time. Picked up a couple of the most god-awful gyros sandwiches ever with a $ 2.50 medium-sized bag of fries. Threw out all the food after a few very expensive mouthfuls.

I went there today for a quick lunch and was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a polish sausage on a hot dog bun with tomatoes, sport peppers and mustard. The gal who took my order asked me what I wanted on it THREE times. She was also having issues deciphering how to enter the information into the electronic register, since it was a «Custom» order. When I received my take-out order, I noticed that the cheese for my cheese fries was missing and had to inform the cook, who I think was also the owner. I received the container of cheese. When I took my order home, the polish sausage was cold and tasted terrible like one that was sitting for a long time, some of the sport peppers were only stems without any pepper. Apparently, service and quality are not urgent at this place and I will never go there again.

I started eating here one day because it was on my way home from work. I went about 4 times over a three week period. The food was good and I liked the gyro sandwich the first time I tried it. I always ordered two different sandwiches each time because I would skip lunch at work so I could get out early. My very last time I will ever go to this place I was very deeply disappointed because of the object I found in my gyro and the reaction and follow up I received from them. I was eating my gyro at home when I felt something strange in my mouth as I was chewing. I spit out my food onto the wrapper and found a burnt wooden match. I called them up on the phone to tell them about it .I spoke in a calm and polite manner. I did not even raise my voice or curse at them. I just told them about what I found. I did not ask for a refund or anything else. I just wanted them to know about it so they would be more careful when preparing food for the public. The«lady» on the phone seemed uninterested in my complaint and sounded like she did not believe me. I offered to come in to show them the object and she admitted they used wooden matches but she wanted my phone # and said the manager was not in .She told me the manager would call me back. Over a week later and no response. I can only say that is a terrible way to handle a legitimate complaint. I would never eat there again and I would tell everyone that this place sucks and not to eat there ever. The place is not worth choking on a matchstick over and the lady on the phone needs to improve her phone manners or at least act like she seems concerned over someone nearly choking on food because of a foreign object in it. Mediocre fast food. I had the gyro and hot dogs. Nothing to write home about. It is better than photos down the street.

Stopped in today, This was my first visit, i ordered the the Chicken Gyros, the sandwich was very good, fries and soda as well. The owner was very nice. I was short on cash, he said I’ll take what you have, and I promised to make it up on my next visit. Very cool business man. The place was clean, and I noticed when a party would leave, they came out immediately to clean off the table. Again very clean. I will be back! Thank you for you hospitality.

Best chicken gyro I have ever tasted. Nothing like it anywhere. This place is just around the corner from where I work, and I vaguely remember trying it out five years ago. What have I been missing? Apparently, a lot! Perfectly seasoned chicken gyro. Pillowy pita. Amazing honey mustard sauce.

My favorite is the chicken pita! The chicken is always great and the fries are always so amazing. Absolutely love the owner. Very nice guy and extremely polite. Shows appreciation of my business every time I go in!

Decent family owned fast food joint. The location is easily accessible on Wolf Road, it’s nothing to write home about, the storefront is a bit run down and from the interior and all the specials it seems like it might be falling on hard times. The food is decent depending on what you’re looking for. If you’re coming in expecting traditional Chicago gyro fare, you won’t be disappointed. They have good Tzatziki sauce and shave off a generous portion of gyro. The burgers are decent, the hotdogs are hotdogs, and the chicken is about what you’d expect as well. On the minus side, the philly steaks and fries are generally pretty poor. The chicken gyros can be a little dry which is a bizarre juxtaposition since they, like almost everything else is usually over saturated with grease. Definitely not the healthiest lunch. Price wise, it’s not too bad. Especially right now(2014) they have a number of deals running with daily deals(just a sandwich), value menus(sandwich, fries & drink) and usually one or two other specials. Meal deals run between $ 5 – 9. I really want to like this place more, the owner is very nice and he always tries hard, and some of the food is decent, but it usually ends up being a very once in a while place.

Stopped in for a BOGO Gyros sandwich and Onion Rings with my wife. Asked about adjusting it to buy the more expensive Philly Steak, getting the cheaper Gyros free(would have saved them $ 0.50, retail), but they didn’t go for it. We bought two Gyros sandwiches, upgraded the required fries to Onion Rings, and purchased a drink to qualify. Also, the BOGO offer isn’t real — only took off part of the ‘free’ amount, saying I needed to pay tax on it. No — taxes are only paid on the sale amount! Not worth the argument and extra $ 0.60, but not good for customer service and nitpicking little amounts. Gyros sandwich was a decent portion, and tasted OK. Nothing special, but decent. Onion Rings were very good. Drink selection was standard Pepsi products. Service was not good. It seems the regulars did get good and friendly service, though. Lots of smiling and joking with the customers, so if you want to be a regular, this place could be a lot of fun. Being a newcomer, barely got a ‘hello’, was dealt with very matter of fact with my questions, and no ‘goodbye’ at all. Overall, not a bad place or value, but nothing to stand out from the others in the area. Try it if you’re hungry and have a coupon, but note that it’s fairly strictly held to what is written.

Quite possibly the worst hot dog ever! Surely in the bottom ten all time. First bite tasted a little funny, so I took a good look at it. Hmmm, maybe its cuz of the ugly tomato(the very top slice of the tomato, not red at all, just a sickly mix of yellow & green); so I tossed it. Second bite same thing. So I thought it might be the ugly pickle; so I tossed it. Third bite and it still was bad. At this point I decided it must be the smashed, wet bun, but I was done with the dog and the Gyros Factory… never again!

Overall, I like it. Good(not great) gyros, burgers, salads. Great service, friendly staff. The pricing is very affordable, but they do tend to nickel and dime you to death(every little thing is extra). Not a huge deal, but very annoying. I stop by once in a while for a quick carry out when I am too lazy to cook, and will continue to do so when Gyro Factory is on the way home.

The owner/manager seems like a nice guy and is always happy when we bring our lunch posse in once every month or so. I have really only ordered the Gyro here which quite frankly was heaping with Gyros meat(the meat wasn’t dry like some of the other reviews have stated). It is about as good as you can expect from a Gyro sandwich. The portions of fries are generous too. The coupons and daily deals are the way to go here. The menu is quite extensive, but I could see how one could very easily end up spending 10+ dollars on what should have been a cheap lunch if they didn’t stick to the deals… Overall I frequently go here and hope to eventually fill out my «Lucky 7» punchcard and get a free seventh meal.

I’ve had their food a few times, and it’s not disappointing. People have been nice to me while I have been here so no complaints on that. I like their friend mushrooms. They are not greasy and super juicy. Very tasty! The gyros are pretty good too. Not the best I have ever had, but still good. I ordered the large gyro which when I arrived at my friends I had a «WTF» moment. All I saw was meat. I’m sitting there like WHEREISTHEBREAD? But after some searching it was underneath. So then I was pleased with the amount of meat given. Had to eat it with a fork for a bit but that’s okay. I wish there was some more sauce on top but eh no biggie. Still very good. Overall I like the place, not my favorite but it’s close so I will return.

Watch out for their«advertised specials.» the daily specials are just a sandwich. No fries, no drink. Also, if you want just a glass of water? Ten cents for the cup!!! I’m looking at my bill and there are miscellaneous fees: 10 cents here, 25 cents there, 30 cents here… That translates into: a glass for water, two pickle spears and extra sauce for my QUITEDRY gyros which had less than a teaspoon of sauce on it. And then the guy props open the doors and is effing COLD in there! There is a 3 inch«step» into the fast food place, too, and a sharp turn into the building, so it is NOT truly accessible for wheelchairs unless you have help. Décor is common for this type of place. My roomie has a saying: «Try it once and don’t like it? Don’t come again.» I won’t come again. Trust me. Not for all the coupons on earth.

The Gyros Factory is nice place to grab a gyro or homemade burger. The meat they use for their burgers is above average and a far tastier burger than you will get at a typical fast food place like Wendy’s, Burger King, etc. This week they have a $ 1.99 special on their fish sandwich which is breaded and made from pollock. While similar to a fillet-o-fish, I prefer the taste of the fish sandwich here. I ordered small fries, and they are very generous with the amount they give, I can only imagine what a large order of fries would look like. As I can not stand battered fries, I really like the fries here. The owner works the register and he professional and friendly. Nice place to stop for an above average quick meal. Would not go out of my way to eat here, but decent place for lunch if you are passing through the area.

The bf saw this place and wanted to try it, went there on a Thursday night, empty. We got a good deal 3 gyros large portion of fries which were crispy, and a large drink all for 15 bucks not bad plus they had alot of other deals. The gyros weren’t horrible but for my taste I like the meat cut thin there’s was thicker. Try it before you judge
