Fun and festive atmosphere. Everything is designed to look and feel island like in nature. The dinner is tasty, the drinks are refreshing, and show is very entertaining especially with audience participation.

Very rude, slow staff, food is horrible with greasy spam and canned pineapples deep fried or put on a grill. All they want is your money to turn tables and push entrees for the show. Tons of groupon customers on weekends can be a red flag. Most of the fried appetizers are pre-frozen and with no taste. All of the ten people in my party were not impressed with this tacky place. Not recommended at any price.

We came here for the Mother’s Day show and everything was great! Our server was super nice, the drinks were decent, and the show was entertaining. I am a huge Mai tai gal and must admit that their Mai tai was not the best I ever had.(Too much grenadine!) and the food wasn’t the greatest, but it was still a good time and something different! I feel like the appetizers were good, but the main dishes were just alright.

Good for a change but don’t go to this place for quality of food or service. Or go with a lot of patience for a slow service and below average food. We sat at exact 7:00 pm on Saturday and it took 28 minutes for our server to show up(after asking if we had a server). We ordered everything at that point figuring the super slow service. It took 48 minutes to get glasses of water. Drinks came decent time. Food did not come to our table until exactly 9:00PM! That’s full hour and 32 minutes after ordering!!! Would only come here for some hula dance but even for that I will have to drink before coming to have tons of patience for the slow service. Advice: if you get seated on the very back corner table next to kitchen — just ask to move or take any other empty table. 2 white families did it before an Asian family got stuck with it!

Really liked this place! The service was very welcoming. The drinks tasted great! Everything came out in no time. Saturday they had the live show. Come here and try the food. The chips are house made with the salsa, went well with the Zombie. Will be back! The show was really fun and entertaining!

I had low expectations of this place because it is in the suburbs and in a strip mall. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was inside. My friend and I wanted a dinner with a show which is what we got! The food was not good… the pork was dry and the poi was cut into big chunks and lacked something… sesame seeds maybe and rice sauce? The show was great and about an hour long. I added some pictures so you can see for yourself. The dancers were good but again not what one would expect when you hear Polynesian. Overall cool experience for the family but a little out of the way for visitors to Chicago.

My husband and I were staying in the area and looking for something a little different for dinner. This was perfect! The interior is adorably decorated in Hawaiian fashion. It’s very neat. The food was great — we both had pulled pork and slaw. But every time the waitress would walk by with someone else’s food we wished we lived closer so we could try whatever that was another time! Seriously, everything we saw looked and smelled amazing. The wait staff was sweet and personable.

Food was great and service was great. The kitchen even gave me a recipe. The food came out a little slow or it would have been a 5. We have the Coconut Chicken and the Loco Moco. Both were really good and big portions. Good price point’ We are definitely coming back!

I would give it 0 stars if I could’ve, but that wasn’t an option. I did not know you had to order an entrée in order to be there because it was our first time there. We were in a group of 5, and I was the only one not wanting to order food. The prices were starting from $ 25 but you’re pretty much paying for rice and I already had dinner so I just wanted to drink. I asked to speak to the supervisor which he was very unpleasant when speaking to us. He said that’s the policy and how he would have to pay the dancers. Even though I would’ve ordered drinks and an appetizer that would’ve been the same amount but he insisted I had to buy the entrée and take it to go if anything. VERY rude and unprofessional this guy was, so we left! What a way to treat and speak to new customers.

The ambience is great, very tropical the drinks are very good. The food is just average. The show was nice but has not changed much over the years. The audience participation was cute what works better with larger groups. You are required to purchase an entrée if you are staying for the show which is $ 25 a plate. Even after we spent money and drinks and appetizers we still had to buy an entrée which was not that good

I love coming here! Its really quiet during the week so if your looking for something more intimate its perfect. The weekend they have dinner Theatre with an amazing Hawaiian revue! Now let’s start with drinks! They are incredible and strong so if your a light weight like myself plan a designated driver! But I don’t think there’s a single one you can go wrong with. Food: I always get the Kahlua pork. It is tender and delish and amazing! The movie loco is tasty the ribs were not as tender as advertised. Dessert: I know ive had it but nothing is memorable… keep that in mind. And lastly I think the only thing I yearn for is coconut shrimp as an appetizer.

I went here this weekend for a friend’s birthday. So there were positives and negatives. First the positives. It’s a fun atmosphere and the show is pretty good. I thought parts of it were corny but overall, fun. Now for the negatives. The food wasn’t great. I tried the Maui onion soup which I did not like at all. I also ordered the Honolulu coconut chicken. It wasn’t horrible but the sauce was this flat and overly sweet sauce that was unappetizing. Unfortunately, the chicken without the sauce was tasteless. I would have loved seasoned chicken or a better sauce. Also the dish came with plain white rice… yuck. Usually white rice is given when there is a sauce to use with it. Plain white is gross by itself. The coleslaw was disgusting. I also got the outrigger for dessert. It was bananas wrapped in philo dough, fried, drizzled with caramel and topped with ice cream. That wasn’t bad but the bananas were a bit mushy. Also the service wasn’t the best. Overall 3 stars for the ambiance and show.

What a great little place! The show and service really make me want to visit the Polynesian Islands! The dancers were great and the mc was funny! He made us feel like we were part of the show. The chips and sauce were delicious! I wasn’t very impressed with the pulled chicken but my hubby’s coconut chicken was quite tasty! We love this place so much that we will be renewing our vows here!

Pretty good spot almost hidden within a strip mall on a cool little strip in Des Plaines Came on one of their more popular nights(Friday) and had a blast. The interior is quite dim with all of the decorations that you would think any typical Hawaiian themed place would have. All of the action is on the stage as there are a couple of MCs that bring you on stage for some good hula fun. Since it was my bday season I was one of the people called on stage to do a hula dance with the hula girls… pretty cool. There was a 70 year old woman having a bday as well and she did the damn thang. The food here is pretty good as I went with the Coconut chicken which sounded too good to pass. Its basically boneless chicken breast marinated in coconut cream, deep fried with coconut flakes. Pretty good as it came with rice and plum dipping sauce. The drinks were just as good and pretty dangerous. We had 2 zombies each which has 4 different rums along with pineapple, lime, papaya & melon. You could taste all of the different flavors while getting drink. Good service as well as their was an item on the menu that the server told me not to get due to the fact they changed vendors. Good spot and very entertaining!
