Love love this place. So nice. They do an awesome job. I always see Ben. My polish always last for weeks. They just remodeled and it’s bright and beautiful.

This is my go to nail salon!
I used to live in the valley, but I have recently relocated to Orange County. However, I do not go anywhere else! I usually try to make an appointment when I plan to visit family in the area!
They are always super busy, so make sure to call ahead. The couple that works there are really nice and polite. They try to accommodate both walk-​ins and appointments. Sometimes they run behind schedule, which can be a little frustrating. But it’s what you can expect for a high demand nail shop that can only service 4 people at a time! It’s amazing how popular they are, yet they are smaller than most nail salons I’ve been to!
I have very sensitive feet, and ingrown toenails. They are very gentle with my feet. I have never been cut or nicked or felt any form of pain here, besides when they pulling out my really bad ingrown nails (it’s a curse I tell you!). I especially like talking to Van; she has a sarcastic humor, and is a proud mama.
Their manicures are great, too. Either Henry or Van will do. The massages are sooo worth waiting for!
Some of their nail polishes sit there for awhile not being used, so I do suggest bringing in your own color if you have a special color in mind. Otherwise, they are suitable to be used, nothing too insane.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try any of their other services, as I usually have limited time to investigate. Although many of the customers I have met while waiting for appointments swear by their eyebrow threading and gel manicure services.
I have not had any other employees besides Henry and Van, and I hope the bad things people are saying about the other employees will stop you from coming here! Sometimes they are heavily impacted, especially on the weekends, and may have to cancel appointments, so I urge you to try to make appointments during the week or not during peak hours if you can!
Best hole-​in-​the-​wall place I’ve ever stumbled upon!

I’ve been going to this shop since I was about 15 so almost 10 years now and will never go anywhere else! No matter what I want done to my nails Henry always finds a way to do it and usually does better than I imagined! They always work around my schedule when i make appointments and always call if they’re running late or early. Ven and Henry are amazing at what they do and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for great nails/​toes.

As a lady that had been going for manicures and pedicures for the last 20yrs. I must say by far this way the worst experience I have ever had. Here’s why…
The gentleman that met me to do my mani-​pedi started out with shenanigans. When I asked his name he standoffishly said, «Benjamin, Benjamin Franklin». Well, Benjamin had allot to say. Actually, he continued to speak the entire time, not listening to my request for square-​round nails or to use a base coat that I brought with me. It seemed as though this man needed to talk to someone. Maybe I was not the best candidate. On my relaxing «Mani-​pedi» time this man never stopped talking. When he did it was only to answer his outrageous statements or ideas. Ie, «nice wedding ring, you can sell your diamonds when you’re bankrupt.», «that’s not even a karat», and nonstop stories about where he lived in the USA for 30 minutes while my nails where being abused. I tried to ask him about his technic, he said it was good. I had to ask him 4 times to not cut my skin. However when time came to paint my finger nails we could not due to the complete mishape of all my nails. Benjamin, of course, said it was me that wanted short nails. An absolute nightmare come true. I would avoid this place if possible. I still am waiting for my nails to grow back to reshaped the nails I’ve created for years. I came for a relaxing time. Left with dicy, unpainted nails and an unwavering annoyance. Not a way to relax. I would never recommend this place.

I love this little hole in the wall place. I have been here a handful of times to get a pedi and they have NEVER disappointed! The husband and wife who own the place are nice, very polite and know what they’re doing. Their hours are always the same and they answer their phone during business hours. I’ve paid more for less… this place is great.

Best. Nail. Salon. Ever. This couple became my regulars at work and I became their regular here. Making an appointment is recommended since a lot of people just stop by and it is next to a busy grocery store. They are such an adorable couple and both do an amazing job.

After having a negative experience at a near by salon. I Unilocaled Modern Nails who had a higher rating (anway) than the other nail shop. I was received well and hospitably. Van performed my MANLY manicure and pedicure with the professionalism and courtesy one would expect. I was in town for some rest and relaxation and needed to get the whole all around self care thing going. Modern Nails made that aspect of my mission possible without drama disregard or hostility. Thank you VERY MUCH for rescuing my MAN CARE day and experience here in Palm Springs. When ever im in town and can use some MAN PAMPERING;-) I’ll certainly look you up;-) Thank’s Van & Modern Nails!!!;-)

just moved to this area, very nice couple working together… very clean place, and low prices. The also have gellish nail polish, but make an appointment because he said since it has to be cured under UV light that it takes longer.

Henry and his wife Van are so nice. They are clean and do a great job.
